CHEEKY MONKEY cocktail

An aesthetic and absolutely delicious libation that must be tried. Mild scotch up front with lime-almond linger. Tribute to Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar. Comes in at 23% ABV.
MIXING NOTES: Any 86 proof blended scotch can be substituted. A redo using Johnny Walker Red (80 proof) did not result in the best taste. The Giffard crème du banana has a very subtle banana taste and is recommended. Recommend 3/4 orgeat regardless of brand as 1 oz. (as shown in the video) overpowers the cocktail. Liber brand has one of the best almond essences.

¾ Giffard Banane du Bresil (France 50 proof)
¾ Liber orgeat
1 Persian lime juice (fresh)
4 dsh Angostura bitters
4 drps Absinthe (optional)
Shake cracked ice, strain Nick & Nora glass, ice shard, mint sprig
