Am I the only person who worries that if we make this scale measuring who is "the most evil" that it might turn it into a kind of game, or like some kind of competition? Serial killers are notoriously competitive when it comes to wanting to outdo other serial killers..
It has happened already and that's without creating any kind of scale. For an example take the Russian case of Alexander Pichushkin, known as "The Chessboard killer". He has stated in his confession after capture, that he wanted to have a higher victim count than Andrei Chikatilo, an earlier serial killer, whose case was heavily publicised. With that in mind, I really don't think a list like that will bring much change, to an already existing "competition".
Yes, yiou r right, Natasha. As shown in this documentary, many serial killers enjoy the attention and notoriety even after they are caught. Some actually come up with their own aliases/nicknames. Jack the Ripper for example. Although many are both repulsed and fascinated by the strange phenomena of serial murder, we should be mindful NOT to make them "celebrities" or "famous". Making a scale like this or Stone's scale, could easily be misused. Knowing how twisted a serial killer thinks, some of them would take a twisted pride in being no.1 or in the "top 10"!

He created an "Evil Scale", which goes from Level 1-22, with 22 being the absolute worst. If you've never seen the Most Evil series, you should really check it out - I think it's done a bit better than this one, even though I prefer British shows over American shows. I guess it's because I know that Professor Wilson is copying something that's already been done....not sure. But that's not saying that I don't like him, because I love David Wilson - he knows his stuff, that's for sure!
I have heard several times on programs that many murderers still in prison are legally changing their names. I dont understand how or why this is allowed. I have a problem with those released after serving their time have been allowed to legally change their names but to be able to change their names while still in is completely beyond my belief. It's just plain wrong.

To clarify... if you're parked in the wrong place they stick a metal clamp on a wheel of the car with a telephone number on it which you call to get the clamp off at an exorbitant rate. More than half of them are illegal coz any jack could buy a clamp and start locking up peoples wheels then getting paid to come and take it off again.

Why worry about it? they are in prison and never likely to get out. No matter what name they go under, the police will know about it.
