"This song imagines searching for security camera footage that accidentally captured your life's most perfect, transcendent (yet sadly, ephemeral) moments so that you can relive them over and over again. Maybe you had your first kiss on your apartment building's roof deck. It happened and it was wonderful, but now it's over. But if you could contact your building's super and ask them for the security camera footage from the roof from the date and time of that first kiss, you could have that moment forever. The security camera becomes a metaphor for our own lived memories, our desire to watch them on repeat and our attempts to celebrate those pinnacle moments in spite of their fleeting nature, so that we can carry those memories with us through the hard times and know that more pinnacles lie ahead, someday."

Lyrics:
Security camera, roll back the tape
I wanna see that day that he stole my heart
Security camera, make my day
And hit the playback on my favorite part
When the sun went down and the city lit up
And the cameras watched while we made love
On the rooftop of my building for the first time
I wanna play back that old video a million times
Fell in love in the city
Where you’re never alone
There must be somebody out there
Who caught that kiss on a camera phone
When we were out in the bars
You were never too shy
There must be somebody out there
With evidence of that fateful night
When the band played on and the champagne poured
For the happiest woman in all of New York
And you kissed me and said “I love you” for the first time
I wanna play back that old video a million times
Security Camera
I won’t leave this world with many regrets
Cause I’ll carry those memories to my last breath
And it’s over now
But I still see it all
In my mind
And I’m gonna play that goddam video a million times
Security Camera
This is sublime; my favourite song of 2024 so far. The level of craft in this track (and all your work, but also the new tracks) is stratospheric. If you notice a spike in listens from Halifax, Nova Scotia... that's me!
Intelligent, clever, romantic, are concepts rarely found together in song-writing but this tune has them all!
I get major John Hughes movie vibes coming from this record.
This is gorgeous.
love this feeling
What a beautiful song! 👍👍👍
Sweet Song. Be Well all the best.
After some years playing as a “side ma’am” behind a powerhouse like Rachel Price in LSD (time flies when you’re having fun 😅) it’s easy to lose sight of the fact that you’ve written a number of the band’s tunes ( in addition to throwing down jaw-dropping bass lines - on an upright no less and singing great backup vocals!). It should come as no surprise that your new solo album and songs are as good as they are. That said, I’m positively ASTOUNDED. The lyrics, studio production and performances by you and your band mates are top shelf all the way (even the video!!) and would be a strong bet for a Best New Artist Grammy ( at least)! I’ve been a fanboy since we met a few times (ages ago) in NY - you might remember showing me your way cool “folding doghouse” after a club show in Hudson- but now I must confess that I’m totally smitten. Girl, you got the whole package! I’ll shut up now. Carry on and “break a leg”!😘
I agree I shouldn't be surprised but am astounded as well. Just the right amount of haze for me, I love it.
Hey I also talked to Bridget for like 3 minutes once after a JKS show in Hudson maybe 13 years ago and have been in love with her ever since! We should start a club! We'll call ourselves Kearnies (obvs)! xoxo
Hells yeah. Go BK!

Listen, ur music is fire. I’ve been listening to you for a couple years and your chill, pop style blows me away. I am Seth D’s son, keep on with this music!
Congratulations Bridget, what a brilliant song 🎶 and a really great video 👏🏻! Your voice is simply unforgettable.

That launched feeling from an ejector seat in an Aston Martin.
