lyrics:
I'm sorry, Ringo
Son I never had
I'm sorry I married my job
Instead of your dad
I wish someone told me
That someone was right when they told me
"It's all about love"
I'm sorry, Ringo
I guess I gave up
I'm sorry, Ringo
I waited too long
Ignored every monthly reminder
That I was your mom
I told myself time after time after time
To take time to let love in
But I'm sorry, Ringo
I guess I never did
Closing my eyes I can picture you looking up at my sweetly
Blood of my blood, won't you bleed for me, bleed for me
(drum solo a la Ringo)
Song by Bridget Kearney from "Snakes of Paradise" released 2023
Love the slide guitar. Slip right into this song.
Beautiful! And dimples too!
This made me cry.
So sad. Gorgeous. Moving. Luminous. Effervescent.
Nice song Bridget. I liked the pedal steel, the happy drummer, and the Las Vegas sign.
Can’t explain, love it! The whole song the ambiance. Great!
😵💫unexpectedly sooo goood from one of the best bass players in the music world.........her time with 'Lake Street Dive' made her a more accomplished artist, I think......
happy to see some new music from bridget with this band. Yeah!
Hey Bridget, so nice to hear/see you again! You have such a wonderful voice and I hear you very often, because your voice has something very calming! Even if this is a sad song! You are such a great musician and every decision is like a medal, it has two sides! Also kudos to the other musicians!!!! Greetings from Frankfurt Volker
Wow, powerful material and a great performance by everyone.
now this is MUSIC
OH My God! I LOVE this! SO Good!
Those were just gorgeously textured waves of pleasure and aching. Experts in music have a special gift - my brain is on fire with something after that. Thank you all for putting in such effort which makes you able to do this !!
great! you‘re so special - song, performance, musicians….
Thank you for posting the lyrics. Much appreciated. Great story in those lyrics. I can smell the truth. ❤
Great choices, Great sound, Great delivery! It is reminiscent of Lucinda Williams. I love the depth of your lyrics . The way you convey them seems truly vulnerable and is sincerely moving to listen to. I also love the choice of plucking the guitar in a staccto fashion. It's brilliant with the slide guitar and of course the slide is deeply moving in and of itself. So love this! Thanks so much for sharing this here.
Great song!
Love the songwriting... This one hits hard. Also great juxtaposition between the staccato of your playing and the pedal steel. Thanks for sharing!
Wows Ville!
Wow, wow , wow! The mood you make with the dead guitar strings and the slide steel is a masterpiece in arranging. You are my favorite LSD member. Keep pumping out these lovely pieces. I’m a big fan of Bridget Kearney.
Let meet add my congratulations and admiration to this growing list! A beautiful, poignant and bittersweet lament for what could have been if only……....
Much respect to Joshua Grange for his great ethereal steel work and a stellar recording and mix - your guitar part was brilliant and the whole band laid down an arrangement that served the song magnificently- now I must track down a copy of the album ASAP. Longtime fan ( and fellow bass geek) since days of Joy Kills Sorrow- we met in NY a few times back then. You’ve come a long way baby! ❤
Brave
tops!
moving
Can I know how you made this effect? (Ex: what Mic for voice, what are the live effects on voice, pedal steel)
Who shot this video?
Was this directed by David Lynch? It has that kinda vibe!
Excellent "I'm Sorry , Ringo" Live Studio and interpretation, I liked it.
