THANK GOD THAT SOMEONE THOUGHT TO KEEP THESE VIDEOS OF READY STEADY GO.
I WANT TO GO BACK like many people of my generation ❤
Bleedin' Nora, the Stones, best version of Satisfaction I've ever seen. And the I got you babe "cover". What a good ol' carry on.
Gene Pitney what a voice!!❤❤❤❤❤
Stones doing Satisfaction live with the kids all around them, that is rock and roll music history!
1964 5 I would have been only 4 or 5 years old yet the music from the 60 s has been a good thing for me .the 60 s and 80 s has been my kind of music along with northern soul and motown.
Dusty class act. Classy lady.
The Leyton Buzzard mimers definitely stole the show, especially the one in dark glasses just sitting there playing the same note again and again.
Wish I had a time machine
Can I come with you please Nobby
I'm building one...I'll pick you up on Christmas Eve....👍🏻
Any room for me?
The video is one.
Me too
Easy to see why the Stones and the Who became as big as they did, they just left everyone else in their dust.
I like the moody blues playing on ready steady go,with the late Denny laine
I seem to remember Dave Clark owned the rights to RSG recordings and they were all tied up in legal fudge. I remember seeing this when Channel 4 broadcast it. Thanks for posting 🎸🎸🎸
Those opening sequences are so pop art!
Whis i could go back 2 the 60s brilliant time best time of my life it was a brilliant time not like 2 days rubbish
Amazing what became of the Moody Blues!
Good god how the moody blues changed from this to nights in white satin no comparison thank god lol
Think So ! 私は 童夢 サテンの夜 のアルバムが 大好き!
From Japan 🏯 🗾 🗻 🍙 🍢 🍣 👘 🎋 🎎 👩
This was when Denny Laine was lead singer (this line up had a massive hit with Go Now) Laine went on to join McCartney in Wings
Members who survived the cull and are playing here are Graeme Edge on drums, Mike Pinder on organ and Ray Thomas on harmonica famous for his display of dad dancing on “Ride y see saw”
Mick Jagger just loves to “ camp it up “ ! 🎉
A kiss on the hand from Gene Pitney.......I'm dying!
Hello Luigi here. I was a very young back a then. Minus a 10 years of age !! Mama mia !
P J Probey, my idol! And a quite awful person. But he had a voice. A VOICE!
Cameraman needed to lay off the zoom.
Great live performances from the Stones and the Who.
No lip syncing BS
Who was the male singer with the fantastic voice singing 'I Believe'? I thought The Bachelors sang that back in the 60's...?
Great clips, cheers.
I'm from the USA, my favorite British bands of this era are The Beatles, Stones, Who, Kinks, Animals, Yardbirds and Zombies.
You forgot the Small Faces , and maybe the Troggs ?
@@PAULLONDEN I like the Small Faces and the Troggs too, but they were a little after 1964 - '65, the early part of the British invasion. Those bands came out in 1966.
Throw in the Searchers, Hollies, and Manfred Mann. There were a lot of great bands during the 64/65 period. The Who broke a little later here due to their legendarily inept US label, Decca.
I'm from the UK and my favourite American bands of this era are the Beach Boys and all of Motown!
Боже! Это наши бабушки!😊
That was cool hearing “”Hey Harmonica Man” by Stevie in the beginning
holy moly ...the Stones are totally live here .... see Keith mess with his fuzz tone at the start...,..hard chording from Brian
Had a teenage crush on Cathy McGowan , is there any one out there to take us back to that great time
EASY
Kick the kids out, drink a bottle of wine, turn the stereo up full volume and close your eyes
Awesome thanks 😊
I wonder how the Stones would’ve “ progressed “ had Brian Jones lived on ? ( he was into world music , via Marocco , long before others )
See looks familiar but who the heck was the lady miming with the Rolling Stones in the song I Got You Babe ( 13:59 ) I think it's Cathy McGowan but I am about 5 years old and very bad in names.
That takes me back.
Never heard this Moody Blues song before Justin Hayward and John Lodge joined and Dennie Laine and Clint Warwick left.
Did the singers sing or mime?
In the mid ninetys ,they put them on a Friday night on channel 4 , brilliant
bliss thankyou
The Who were on fire! 🔥
Yeah RAW😅
Moody Blues Mk1 made up 60% of Moody Blues Mk2. The success then failures that resulted in the Moodies Mk2 should be made into a movie. Except the unlikely sequence of events that resulted in Days of Future Passed being recorded then becoming a chart topper in France beggars belief. (Read Marc Cushman's book if a detailed history of the Moodies interests you.)
Its so irritating now that the cameramen of the day thought that zooming in & out as fast as possible, and in & out of focus was somehow psychedelic or like being on drugs! Such a waste of valuable archive material!
I believe Keith Fordyce was the DJ presenter. He had a look alike in Kent Walton also a DJ and sports presenter in wrestling. But sure this is Keith Fordyce. Sometimes mix the two up. They look so similar with similar backgrounds. Just seen the credits at the end.
Its Keith Fordyce. Kent Walton had an American accent
What was happening at the end? It looked like Mick's microphone stand had to be reset up. Was there a scuffle?
The imagery was pretty suggestive.
Wonderfully times and music, and,no mobiles,no piercings, no face fillers,no unsightly tattoos, and ducklips, and that's just the men!
does it really matter , I think not !!
Thank you
Do you have anything of the '65 Christmas show? Pretty sure it was that Christmas episode, it had Eric Burdon as the grandmother or godmother, Hilton Valentine and maybe the Kinks were the ugly sisters, Peter Noone was Prince Charming, and so on.. big Animals' fan, would love to see it here, thanks :)
i only have the shows that channel 4 t.v. broadcast in the early hours...quite a lot but i've put them all up on the channel....i believe some shows were sold on vhs tape many years back and one of those may have the special you mention...david.
i do have an animals radio promo up on my main channel if your interested?
@@puresandoz2598 Thank you for the response and info, much appreciated
Twas brilliant then… an xl now
The rock shows then could showcase some awful schlock . Dusty Springfield was pretty cool .
thery still do! have you seen late night with jules holland?
@@puresandoz2598 No . Doesnt sound good !
Do we think The Who invented Punk? In 1964. Sex Pistols eat your heart out. Keith Moon was awesome.
Bit of an out there question. Do you perhaps have or know where I can get the 21/8/1964 performance with The Cherokees?
The PJ Poby bit had nothing to do with RSG!
well spotted but when i did the edit i unfortunitely left it in!!!! you should see what i had to edit out from the broadcasts that dave clark put in....
@@puresandoz2598thank you for leaving it in. So rarely seen in such clips.
ムーディー ブルースにジョン ロッジ ジャスティン ヘイワードはいますか?私は彼らが好きです ❤❤
童夢 サテンの夜 は素晴らしいアルバムです!
WHO Is Amazing !!
From Japan 🗻 🗾 🏯 🎋 🎎 👘 👩
Stones were never better doing Sonny and Cher!?
13:05 Lmao. It's discount Elvis.
That's PJProby ! Yes he was a bit of an Elvis tribute.
8:51 one of many awkward moments......
Is that Patrick Kerr ?
it sure is....
The brilliant who X
This was where Dusty was pinched on the behind.
By Gene Pitney ?
The original Moody Blues when they were purely an R&B group.
That last band on were very noisy.
The Who were tighter than the Stones
Always !
Great days, brilliant music....but cringeworthy humour 🤪
i love themoodies but that record was awful!!!
