Hey, great to see Tablenauts over here -- been a long time subscriber. :) And if you like card games and have a group of 4 that can play somewhat consistently, you're hard-pressed to do better than Tichu! -Ryan
I love that you guys look at this sort of thing too 😄 My top 10 are Love Letter, The Mind, The Search for Planet X, Just One, Push, Bohnanza, Pandemic, Letter Jam, Qwixx, The Crew 2
10 One Deck Dungeon 9 Incan Gold 8 Lost Cities 7 Star Realms: Frontiers 6 Splendor 5 Tiny Epic Galaxies 4 Pandemic 3 Port Royal 2 Heat (~$60, 28 plays with many players) 1 Settlers of Catan: 2-player card game (1996) (this game cost $20 back in the day and I have played this a ton over the years)
10. Sprawlopolis 9. Arboretum 8. Codenames Pictures 7. Quarto 6. Point Salad 5. Root 4. Cascadia 3. Skulls of Sedlec 2. The Fox in the Forest 1. Air, Land, & Sea
Nice list, I've had my eyes on Air, Land, and Sea for a while now. I also picked up The Fox in the Forest recently at a thrift store for $3, so it would definitely be positioned well on a list like this if I used my actual purchase price instead of the standard price haha. -Ryan
Very nice! Cartographers is one for me that took a bit of a knock by me spending more on the collector's edition, but it definitely is the type of game that can perform well on a list like this! -Ryan
Talking about best and worst value. I’m guessing that u played games can dominate this, but I would be interested if you could get an “average” value of your hobby. What’s your average cost per hour?
Would be interesting but definitely hard to calculate haha... We have bought and sold many games over the years so estimating money spent is the trickiest part (I actually have pretty good data on games played). But I can certainly guarantee that we have gotten great value out of the board gaming hobby simply based on the quality of the experiences it has given us! -Ryan
Haha we didn't overlap your tastes on any games at all? You hit on the missing piece which is that value depends on the quality of the experience, not just the cost per player per hour -- but that would have made this list very complicated to figure out. As is, these are games we have clearly enjoyed enough to get to the table consistently. 🙂 -Ryan
Great video!! The editing was fantastic. Going to need to track down a copy of Tichu apparently!

Your username feels very appropriate as we relate about such niche statistics haha. 😂 Thanks for sharing your list! -Ryan
Lovely round up some new games to the raider.. I'd add dixit and blokus as an alternative 4 player
Dixit's chances on this list definitely got hurt by me spending a lot of money on expansions haha... 😅 -Ryan

Top 10 Space Themed Games: #7. Agricola
The game is all about effectively filling your empty space! 😂 -Ryan
Cosmic Encounter is 🔥, i couldn't find any better game than it
It's truly one of a kind, and for the right group, can really be the perfect game. -Ryan
Fun video! Also cute y’all are both wearing Broncos gear
I would watch the least value video 😅
Haha we never coordinate, so there is a decent probability of it happening every once in a while... -Ryan

Funny cause you couldn't pay ME to play any of those games. Cause cause something is cheap or free, doesn't make it good.
