@@vivienmartin225 I’m not saying legally they have to. Generally when restaurants sell Halal they advertise it. When they don’t, I personally question whether or not it’s actually halal. So I stay away. Each to their own though
Ive tried authentic taste of butter chiken i like the chiken and curry sauce as a combo but i just dont like the taste of the sweetness and butter ❤ when u said the same thing i ws like i am not the only one😂 underrated hijabi is like me

It’s best not to eat in places where they serve alcohol, also if the place is halal they should always be able to show you their halal certificate, if they don’t then you shouldn’t be Eating there , there is too much doubt. Best to be careful we don’t want our ibaadah not to be accepted! :)

I once asked a resturant owner in Canada if the food was halal and he responded you never need to ask that and pointed to the halal certificate, he said thats all you need. I say this to say this owner may have been dishonest to you

A simple google search tells you that Patri is indeed halal.
You should have asked to see the Halal certificate.

Be weary of Indian places where they don't serve beef and serve a lot of veggie dishes and paneer, they usually are not halal.
