As someone who is both, part of your job as a responsible member of society is knowing your limits and being up front about them if you are going to work. Trump has a responsibility to state his limitations, and to work within them. While certainly that doesn't make him more qualified to do much more than color in a coloring book, that would be better than what he's doing right now.
(Note, you don't have to give your employers all the details, but noting your limitations up front is important. I know the stress of a prying boss, though and that is hell.)
Let's take a look back with the wayback machine: Dan Quayle and George W. Bush. And we barely avoided Sarah Palin. I think I see a pattern.
The Republicans put him in office. You have to realize that there are more than one type of Americans. The type you are referring to are the uneducated racists from the red states, they make up a the bulk of the Republican party, which by now has become Trump's cult.
Not ALL of us put him there, remember, Russia helped Trump get into power too... remember the Facebook/Cambridge Analytics scandal? More than half of us didn't even want him, he lost the popular vote by the millions. Late night comedy is the only way we can laugh and get through this disaster, at least we live in a country where we can make fun of the president without persecution.
Aside from the fact that the senator's video was amusing, I appreciate that he was trying to be more educated on an issue that he's responsible for making a decision about. I wish more lawmakers were like him!
My mother was in the State Senate when marijuana was first becoming a big issue in the country -- not legalizing it, at that point, but how seriously it should be penalized. A friend of Mom's told her and Dad that he'd been on a trip recently, went outside the three-mile limit, and smoked marijuana on a boat. Mom was thrilled -- here was her chance to learn about the actual effects, from someone she actually knew! "What was the effect?" she asked him eagerly, and he replied, "I don't know -- I was too drunk to tell."
Yeah people really should try it once it is not as scary as some people make it out to be .. I have to take cbd oil for my medication , my mom seems to think it would make me feel funny or something 😂im attempting to convince her to just try it once it wont do anything other than relax you. .. Cannabis has many benefits and it should not be feared 👍
What's funny is it used to grow wild along the side of highways and cows ate it like snack food. That wasn't profitable so it was outlawed, now on the comeback to generate tax dollars and heal the sick.

I think he was trying to get the reporter to expose their own ignorance over the tariffs, because apart from tariffs on Chinese goods, there hardly are any tariffs. Aluminum and steel from a handful of countries.
The tariffs are estimated to cover about 4% of inports.
Vlad The Inhaler, it's a 25% Tariff on Steel and 10% on Aluminium, to places like Canada, the EU and Mexico, who until the Orange idiot took over were Americas allies and trusted trading partners. It's not just the 700+ (can't remember the exact number) types of goods from China that got 25% tariffs levied (that put $50 Billion in the governments pocket). Every self respecting economist in the Western Hemisphere (and a bunch of them in the rest of the world) is saying that these Tariffs are bad for the economy.
As far as Google will tell me, the Total value of imports this past August is in the neighbourhood of 260 Billion. 4% of that is just a touch over $10 Billion. Not exactly chump change...

In all seriousness, has nobody pointed out that this senator violated both written law and common courtesy by consuming this product in the parking lot of the establishment that sold it to him? Every product sold by a licensed dispensary has both medical and legal warnings printed on a tag that discourage this sort of behavior. Furthermore, any employee of a dispensary that is worth their pay would warn first-time consumers about consuming their product in public, something that is still actively illegal in a majority of jurisdictions. But, you know, this guy just votes on laws, right? Can't really expect him to know what they are! Criminy...

As an investor, kinda conflicted between losing money & seeing Trump losing his last semi-real talking point.
Trump will continue to negatively effect stability, so the biggest danger is if this impact is obscured and deferred.
As an investor I want real up to date facts, not to be lied to in order to protect my 'confidence'. Give me reality every time, if someone's shit in the well I think everyone should know about it.

Just by merit of the way the economy operates, effects of any presidential policies/initiatives will necessarily be delayed in effect and obscured by cyclical changes/net upward trends, so claims about the economy/markets can only be made after the fact. Nevermind Trump, even presidents who ARE good for the economy can't accurately claim to be two years into their first term (though so many seem to try). I only bring up the claim as semi-real because it's one of few the administration tries to back with actual data instead of outright falsehood. All we can say here is the recent drops slightly lift Trump's ongoing facade.
