Im definitely buying this before the sale is over! Quick Q are we allowed to put metallic/shiny materials too?
Metallic option is available in our basic materials and imported gltf models. Shiny option is unfortunately not supported in after effects at this moment(24.4), when adobe devs add shiny option we will include it

When creating objects along with textures, the figure is not displayed in the viewport, there is nothing except the controllers of the figure itself😢
Can the shapes used for 3D be animated?
I'd basically like to turn an animated path into 3D.

good question! In this version we haven't options to animate such models. We are working on special sequencing techniques to make path animation possible. If you need to clarify a specific case, feel free contact our support
