KevinRPD always 50k on my realm and I got 3 to drop in my WoTLK days. Funded great times.
The highest I saw it go on my realm that ever sold regularly was about 20k back then. People tried for higher, but no one was that desperate.
You must've been on a really populated realm or people were unaware of its truly high value.
Im playing wrath right now, but it usually goes for 9k or 12k.
Slav Outlaw yeah but private servers aren’t really the same, or have the same economy.

I'm 1 of the few people I knew who actually went thru the entire quest chain to obtain this sword. It might be only I-lvl 100 these days, but it's still an awesome, gorgeous blade to this day. It rest quietly in my storage now. I will NEVER get rid of it.
I just don't have time to play WoW anymore these days but I feel so nostalgic for the days I used to play WoW. However, these videos help me remember those times with your use of the game's music and your storytelling. So, I love watching your WoW videos, keep up the great work please.
Just a note, when you do this, you unlock all the appearances for it no matter if the character the quest was done on can actually wield it.
I still remember when I won the Need Roll on Quel'Delar's hilt drop on my pally back in the day, I even screenshotted it and everything. It was such an awesome moment for me, especially after having done the quest chain on the PTR servers before the content came out.

When I was 12 I remember getting the Battered Hilt within 48 hours of 3.3's release and was (afaik) one of the very first people in my realm to have Quel Delar. I love that sword.

I remember getting this sword for my blood elf mage back in the day. I randomly found it during ICC and ended up running this questline knowing nothing about it or the legendary weapon I'd get from it lol thanks for the walk down nostalgia lane :)

I got this back in WotLK on my warrior and wasn't sure about using it or selling it. It was worth around 15k back then, which is probably around ~200-300k today.
In the end I did the quest myself and was so proud that I got the sword together with the Shadowmourne pre-quest weapon. Man, good times.
I got two and did both options aha, at the time, it was a very good wep! it was better than T2 PVP s7 wep (2.2k 3v3) It soon got out classed with ICC weps, but was a very good start at the 3.3.5a patch

Quite liked these quests, had Quel'serrar in Vanilla, so when I heard about a sister blade I had to have it in WotLK. That quest was a great reward by itself. Thanks for the memories!

I was a High Elf in Vanilla named Blazedrogue. Baked most raids i was still the class leader and one of the top DPS for Ostralyan Pain on Smolderthorn. Good times and some of the best memories a gamer could ask for.
Didn't know there was a difference for blood elves. Neat!

Given how rare this drop is, i actually found it as a world drop in Icecrown.
Is it ironic that the character that found it was a Belf DK? Anyway, i enjoyed the quest chain immensely, folllowing the lore.
When i learned about the twin, i then spent 3 months farming Onyxia to obtain Quel'Serrar so that i could dual wield them as transmogs with my DK who was Frost spec.
These videos are great nostalgia for me. Legendary content
nice video, i actually got this myself in wrath but its been so long i forgot most of it. Was a nice reminder of everything i went through to get it. It's definitely a very attractive weapon.

I completed this quest chain back in wrath on my lvl 80 human DK, I remember saving all my gold from dailies, mining for titanium, or in those days soloing MC and AQ20 as a blood DK before they down scaled bosses to drop less gold. I bought the hilt for less than 10k gold, I think it was 8.7k which was really cheap. This video brings back a lot of memories and even a lot of parts I forgot over the years. Thanks.
And now its worth 40-50k and i personally value it at 60-80k Its amazing how far WoW has come!
I actually found this back in wrath playing around my paladin. I clicked and initiated the quest without really knowing anything. Regardless, I don’t regret it at all. My main weapon during the raids in ICC for my ret paly.
lore wise Quel'delar is own by Blood Knight Matriarch Liadrin, Quel'Serrar obtainable but from level 80 Onyxia and if you have remake of weapon version it, you can transmog it on level 60 player cause of leveling scaling in 7.3.5
Greenchili Studioz If you ask me it’s really odd how she has the sword lore-wise when the players restored it and just in WoD she magically appears with the blade as her own. Is Quel’Serrar available again with patch 7.3.5?
Oddly enough she no longer wields it in BfA. I wonder what happened that she lost it.

I had this weapon back in the days. I never realized I could sell the quest item. Pretty sure I would have done it since I had a better weapon at that time anyway. Interesting to see after all these years :D

maybe not a epic weapon, but BC Lohn'goron, Bow of the Torn-Heart is an amazing quest chain for what is, and one of the coolest bow models in the game to this day, if you get an urge to go back to BC content. Great job with all your stuff man, peace.

Would have been cool if Lana'thel had a special dialogue for players that are using the sword against her.
I've done the quest line back in MoP, but I didn't realise the drop was so low. When I started playing again in Legion, I was really confused to see Lightborn Spire in my mog tabs, since it's been a long time and back then the current transmog system wasn't in the game.
Still, it was a really awesome quest chain that I still remember, even if not completely. It totally looks cool with my warlock mog :)
Can't wait for it to drop again and make some money for myself tho

Yeah, I remember getting the stat stick version on my hunter back in the day. Wrath really amped up the epicness of quest chains. I still vividly remember this whole thing. Sure, everyone and their brother had it at the time, but I thought it was cool because it was the first in-depth quest chain I followed through on since getting the paladin epic mount back during BC.
I remember doing that on my Frost DK back in Wrath. Came back in Legion and was happy to find that I still “owned” the sword as a Transmog! :D
Those old swords are honestly a legend. Absolutely love retro wow xmogs.
Love all your videos. Keep it up. Side note: Lets face it, you walk around with this and people think, "Oh they farm/bought it.". You walk around with Quel'serrar and people think "DAMN! Old school.".

ultraboy222 they are lvl 251. Which is better than 25 TotC N, but below HC versions of those weapons.

Back when I still played WoW, I used to farm the Pit of Sarron and we always cleared out the mobs hoping the hilt would drop. It was insane how many people wanted that hilt and I was devastated when I couldn't get it a single damn time. At some point people weren't interested in those dungeons anymore so my hopes of getting the hilt back then died out along with people's interest in going there.

Quel'Delar by love! I got it before entering ICC and used it as a transmog since Cata came out (after Shadowmourne was no longer viable), until now when I got the Ashbringer!
I heard that blizzard removed the Quel'Delar questline, glad you can still obtain it!

Quel'serrar was one of my favorite weapons that I had back then, I wanted this thing more than anything so I could duel wield them. Never got around to it though, unfortunately. Might try again someday if retail interests me at any point in the future.
I still remember doing a random pit of saron run back in wrath and seeing the hilt drop and winning the role by 1 over someone else and being quite happy to be one of the few people on my server at the time to even have the sword.

as a hunter i got this blade in wrath and had it until a bit into cata i still love this blade alot and felt like a good reward with a good story behind it.
i always loved this sword and the quest line
I remember being a blood dk tank starting raiding when ICC was already out, and only having the basic ToC set (koltiras, tier 9?) and desperately needing some ilvl boosts and farming for this weapon before starting ICC. I saw the drop 3 or 4 times before I ever got it, and I used it myself instead of selling it on the AH for the massive amounts of gold I could have gotten. I finally completed the long quest line and started ICC and within 2 weeks of ICC I got citadel enforcer's claymore off the first boss and no longer used quel'delar. I was kicking myself for not having sold the damn thing and for doing the long quest line. Still a cool experience nonetheless.

I have fond memories of the battered hilt dropped and everybody instantly pressing need. I won 3 of them in my time. Used one for my pre-raid weapon, sold one for 8k and gave the other to a friend.
I remember wanting this sword more than any other sword because i was lich king obsessed. I had NO idea there was all of this to it. I remember running the dungeon to get the hilt. Never even got that lmao. Coolest sword in game imo
Thanks for the refresh! I did this quest so long ago, I forgot everything. When it first came out, its drop rate was put way too high, allowing me and many to do the quest.
Thank you for watching - yeah I remember that glitch. A ton of people farmed a bunch of them out on the first day and made quite a bit of gold. It's hard to remember, but I think I bought mine off the AH during that.

The handle dropped for my shaman back then. I was a bit disappointed that I only got a surrogate weapon instead of the sword itself, because I didn't know shamans could not use swords at all,yet.
But the questline was great and I enjoyed it so much in fact, that I saved up the gold to get another handle for my death knight, so I could properly wield the sword!
i had that orange 2h mace for my feral tank from the battered hilt because its model is unique and looks awesome. ever since transmog came out i use that mace on every 2h class.
I ran the instances so often to get the hilt. After 50 runs or so i finally got it. Still one of my favorites items today.
Fun times...it's actually a good gold maker if you don't mind RNG. Kind of a fun mindless grind to do every now and then(especially if you like Wrath)
I remember getting the battered hilt back in Wrath during one of my many runs and ended up going to get it to where I still have it to this day on my Death Knight.

I have the Golden Bow of Quel'thalas, which is my favorite bow by far. I don't know exactly how it fits in the lore but it sounds good to me. Thanks for your videos dude. Your voice is better than "rain on a roof" for relaxation. Keep it up.
