You give a crew of 10 theater kids buckets of paint, a bale of cardboard, hot glue, resin, zip ties and a week and they would’ve done better
Yes!
As an honorary theater kid i could do better with nothing but things i have in my room and a day or two 💀
@Evermore-.0 As a theater kid, I agree
My school theater did a wonka show back In the day and it was 50x better than this and they literally did it in less than a week
I guarantee you. People will be dressing up as the unknown for Halloween.
I mean, I'm already planning my Scottish oompa loompa costume
Worse. The unknown will blow up like Huggy Wuggie. There will be a video game somewhere down the road.
If someone made this a comedy satire event for adults (or 13+) to attend and made the tickets like $10, this could have been a big hit lol
Yeah, this with an open bar and DJ would have been a hit 😂
it's like the wonka version of spinal tap
Those poor character actors 😭
Its so close to me what if I was there I would of known it would be viral😂
They deserve cake and hugs for trying so hard for the kids.
They deserve money and fhe organizers deserve jail because that is intentional theft of labor. But as it is, capitalism and weak unions...
Actually they went viral and are getting better roles now - worked out well for them 😂
as a glasgow resident i’m SO sad i wasn’t there
Is like having the ticket for Titanic and missing the ship :(
Same
Trust me we all would knew it would become viral
I’m from Glasgow too. My mum very nearly bought us tickets because “it sounds great!”. A bit of me kinda wishes we did go just to say we were there 😂
Most glasgow thing to happen in Glasgow in recent years
They should have given everyone a free hour in the ball pit
"A FREE HOUR IN THE CHOCOLATE RIVER!"
(collective terrified screaming)
Oh no 😂
A free hour in the bouncy castle.
Promised as GUMBALL pit! 😸
With the unknown 😂
I CANNOT stop saying what. is. that? It’s the unknown!!!
I though they said "it's the Ender" and wondered who is that.
@@teijaflink2226 - yeah ‘Quartering’ heard it as ‘It’s the _Ender!’_ That also fits too . . . It’s the heavy emphasis on the ‘un’ in UN-known.
I cannot wait for the sequel to the wonka movie, Wonka 2 revenge of the unknown
I can picture it: Wonka’s finally got his chocolate factory, but it’s under threat from an entity he didn’t think about: an unknown entity who has haunted his walls since before he even arrived. The unknown wants to make evil chocolate.
Does the unknown make evil chocolate or is he evil? Hopefully the movie will explain
The idea that the unknown would be the only actor to show up and terrorize the kids with nothing else is hilarious to me.
Petition for Benedict to have The Unknown as a surprise celebrity guest on the show
I want her to be the mystery guest in _The Big Fat Quiz of the Year._
@@davidlevy706 YESSSSS!!!!!!!
The unknown goes kinda hard
I would 100% go and meet The Unknown if this was in London.
When I first heard about this, I was expecting seven foot tall Oompa Loompas smoking a pack of cigarettes while reading off of cue cards, and this is somehow worse.
i heard the unknown was timothee shalamees evil twin
Timothee Charlatan
All the reactions to this event have led me understand that Glasgow is the British version of Philly
Except Govan, which is more like Detroit.
love how the scary phantom guy hides behind a mirror so the kids can see their own fear and disappointment induced tears
I am honestly obsessed with the unknown
I cant stop watching the video play in my mind over and over again😭
Him: No human would create a character called the Unknown.
Nomura: Heartless, Nobodies, Unversed.
Pokemon: Literally has an entire alphabet of Unown.
Agatha Christie: U.N. Owen (yes, that’s where Touhou got it from)
Dead by daylight
I’ve been waiting all week for this video. This is a public service.
I would totally take my kid and convince them it was 100% a Disneyland park
Never let “there’s chocolate and then there’s chocolate” die 😂
i keep saying this but i SWEAR this is a south park plot 😭 i hope they do an episode about this next season because itd be so funny
I don’t know, man… my 2 year old daughter would’ve probably been hyped about “The Unknown” emerging from behind that mirror, but she’s 27 pounds of unhinged chaotic energy.
I think my husband and I would’ve been in such awe of the absolute nonsense around us that it would’ve felt as baffling as any of the Wonka film experiences. Magic! Jelly Bean[s]! Liminal Spaces! Yippee!
Okay....I just imagined a slew of kids chasing after The Unknown who's running for its life because realized it made the biggest mistake in its life by messing with overhyped kids who aren't scared of it.
Oh yes, I would've liked that too when I was 2! There was something deliciously creepy about the way The Unknown moved -- like a cross between The Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come, and a Walker from The Walking Dead, and an android.
That ninja turtle joke at the end had me dying 😂
They couldn't use Slugworth, so they had to use the Unknown.
They couldn't afford a fat stack of reichsmarks for him to brandish.
I mean, Slugworth itself was made up for the first movie (which itself was just commissioned as a commercial and had a low budget) because the movie "needed a villain" but he did not appear in the original book at all
@QDude24 Slugworth did technically appear in the original book, he was just only mentioned in passing as one of the chocolate makers stealing Wonka's secrets.
It's not just 35.00. It was 35.00 each, parents and children. My daughter paid 140 for her tickets and stayed in a hotel the night before to save travelling on the day as they had early tickets. Glad to say they had a fab time at the hotel so all was not lost. It was a disgrace considering how tight money is these days.
Genuinely the highlight of 2024 so far
i've been waiting for this one
I live in west lothian and knowing that this was only about a 45 minute drive away from where i live is hillarious
It's true, we ARE obsessed with The Unknown
It was also found out the guy who organized the event has written a bunch of books all with AI
There’s a whole additional side tangent story to this that’s started coming out, involving the Wonker actor shown in this video, Paul. He was a teacher at a drama school, “dated” (aka groomed) a teenage pupil named Annie, and wouldn’t let her tell anyone about their “relationship” until she turned 16 for obvious reasons. When it all came out, SHE got kicked out of the course because of it. There are receipts, photos of them, and so much yikes.
Proof?
why do u want proof?@@laughythaklown7661
The actors deserve a lot of credit for making the best of the situation. The actors didn't deserve hate.
Kate Middleton and the Unknown do bear an uncanny resemblance to each other.
Dashcon is exactly what I thought.
You missed the groomer allegations levied against Paul Connel. A woman on tik tok claims he was a teacher that groomed her at 16 when he was 22, her video was taken down, and paul turned off comments on his own video
The wonka actor was a drama teacher and then he dated a 15. Year old student and made her keep it a secret till she was 16 and she was kicked out the drama school
I'm sorry WHAT?!
Hope this is not real because horrific, but wow that would be a great twist to the story!
You have no proof
@@connoroflynn1750 he's turning the weans against us.
@@connoroflynn1750 the vitctim made a video with photos
If I were a parent I wouldn’t know how to feel, like angry because of the scam, but almost dying of laughing like crazy seeing my child all confused and everything, the unknown is worth it by the way
35.00 if the child went on it's own but some families had four children with them which would be 200.00.
Nice dashcon reference 😂
Paul connell, the actor who played Wonka dated a 16 year old while he was his teacher. She got expelled and he was allowed to carry on teaching.
"This place reminds me of Santa's Workshop! Except it smells like mushrooms and everyone looks like they want to hurt me." -Buddy the elf
At least there’s a villain for Wonka 2.
The AI called it The unknown because even it ran out of ideas
Are we sure the British government didn't sponsor this event?
I was hoping you’d cover this ❤
If Scotland is so safe that the police have time for this I’m packing my bags.
Bro the memes of this are killing me 😂
I was waiting for this lol
6:08 oopsie
THIS IS THE NEWS I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR😭 THANK YOU.
LOL
An incredibly shocking experience is still an incredible experience.

Spongebob experience
Fill a tank and put spongebob decorations in it
The Unknown is mote terrifying than Michael Myers.
The Unknown needs a spinoff.
With a space like that it could have been a roller rink, the decor could have been minimal and projection mapping could have been most of the show with the characters skating around talking to kids and helping them skate. There're better ways to use the space, that's my point.
Where you gonna get 50 pairs of skates in various kids sizes ?
Reminds me of the time I got to go to a sleep-over at a toy shop,
which had the opposite problem of them giving all the kids candy, (but not letting them pay with toys) from which they sugar crashed,
I ended up going back and getting home after midnight iirc 😓
It's worth noting that despite how terrible this whole thing was as an attraction, it found GREAT success online as something to make people laugh.
And it wasn't the AI that did that, it was the people. I laugh till I wheeze every time I hear "what is that?! It's the unknown!"
Yes AI has the potential to replace a lot of stuff people do, but at the end of the day it was still the human beings that actually made this whole thing so hilarious
100% exarserdray lollipops.
"Everytime a family with too much money gets scammed, an Angel gets its wings"
How do you know the parents have too much money? That's a ridiculous statement to make. My daughter was there with her children and is definitely not rich. She saved up for it and worked extra shifts.

I would pay $200 to experience this
This just filled a huge gap for me bc I missed this and only saw the memes😂
Someone needs to put on an unlicensed Willy's Chocolate Experience "inspired" event that's just a shameless ripoff of the shameless ripoff. I just can't decide if it should be even worse, or if it should be spectacular.
I'm looking to buy that silver Unknown mask. Anyone know the manufacturer?
I have this year’s Halloween costume; the “Unknown”. 😂😊
Petition for Timothee Chalamet, MrBeast, and Johnny Depp to fix this?
Lol
Dear lord
open this in Florida! Same budget, same AI, costumes, I'll be there
What. Is. That. It’s the Unknown!
Nooooooh!! 😂
Why does the oompa loompa looks high of wonka bars
I died at oompanheimmer
"Come with me"
No thanks!
And you'll be"
Be what? Is that a threat?!
They definitely should have kept it open, 18+, bring your own bottle
As a millennial who has grown up with a sick obsession with memes, I would be thrilled at the absolute meme-ability of this event. I’d be stoked.
heads up, theres a Devon based wonka event coming!!!!
hilarious but not comparable to fyrefest. that was so hyped for months ahead of time with people losing huge amounts of money and resulting in lawsuits. this was just some silly little thing.
THE UNKNOWN
I never realized Father John Misty was british.
"No human being could come up with 'The Unknown' "
Meanwhile Dead by Daylight:
This is EXACTLY why you CAN'T use AI for everything!!!!!!!!!
I speculate that Kate has gone away to do her ‘Royal Training’ with Charlie being ill Kate and William’s turn may come sooner than originally expected. The royal children are ‘trained’ on how to be royalty throughout childhood but they also have extra ‘training’ just before they become King or Queen. It’s lessons on how to conduct themselves, working with governments etc
This shows AI will doom us all
They should have given everyone instead of a jelly bean and lemonade a 2 pieces of cheese Sandwich with some lettuce😂
2024 is going great so far.
Fair play to Tate Modern for branching out I say! 👍🇬🇧
"The Unknown" looks like a cheap Walmart Halloween costume version of Dr. Doom LOL!!!!!
Most exciting Glaswegian experience
“What is that! It’s the unknown!”
“Nooo!”
😂😂
I didn't know that anyone paid for their kids to meet Santa. I thought that was always a free thing done in shopping centres
Did anyone else think of the David Pumpkins sketch when they heard about The Unknown, "well, the most terrifying thing...to the mind...is the unknown!"
*SIGH* People are gonna be cosplaying this at Halloween time aren't they...
What is that? It is the Unknown!
Nooooooooooo
They could've gotten away with the AI if they had the budget - like the star wars sequels
Yeah, the AI can make a world of “pure” imagination.
Maybe it’s a campaign against using ai??
Wonka fyre fest edition
It's kinda like dashcon
I think Dashcon was a literal and figurative 'bigger' disaster but it didn't give us-
"WHAT IS THAT?!? IT'S THE UNKNOWN!"
“Santo & Johnny - Sleep walk” playing
I actually pulled a better attraction on halloween and i was being lazy.
The Unknown is like Imu from One Piece. Both are antagonistic, faceless, mysterious for the sake of being mysteryous and dressed in black robes
I would love to go there and befriend the unknown
Surely Kate has been missing because they’re finally trying to get her help for her obvious but unspoken anorexia, right?
Love the "Imagnation Lab"
