Definitely a HOFer. Top 10, maybe top 5 QB of the 2010’s.
This is prob the best video on this channel. Good work on this one
Matt Ryan is in the top 10 ALL TIME for NFL QB passing yards and touchdowns thrown. Of course he's a HOF'er.
And the 11 in passing and qbr I think and 8 in both 4th quarter comebacks and game winning drives with 30 and 38
@@nhif33 Facts
No he isn’t. It’s the hall of fame not hall of chokers.
Matt Stafford will end his career in the top 10 of both categories as well. Who cares, unless you think he's a HoF player (in which case, lololololol)
@@Ryfael So why are guys like Kelly and Marino in there
12:43 that London game vs the lions was brutal. They were leading 21-0 at the half. And lost 22-21. That will always stick with me.
Heard a lot of “ Matt ryan threw a terrible interception “
with the way he played with the falcons last season absolutely carrying them to seven wins i was super excited to see him in indianapolis. if he can have success with them he is totally making it.
I highly reccomend you do a video on why the bills didn’t win any super bowls. The bills have always been my favorite and not only would it be awesome to have a great video explanation, but I also want to listen to more Brady slander, which is not only accepted but also reccomended
Because they were up against better teams. Outplayed and out coached.
I like how Barry makes those comments under his breath like a cutaway shot watching Family Guy. Great video. Thank you up loader. Great name btw.
The answer now is a SOLID no.
Bad games don't decide whether or not you make the HOF or not
@@funnycat4241 this tbh
If bad games prevent you from the Hall of Fame, Peyton Manning shouldn't be in because "muh playoff choker."
LMAO the number of kids comparison
Do a vid on Matt Shaub shown flashes of potential but placed in the wrong situation/system that didn’t do him much justice
From the same county in PA as Matt Ryan by the way
Banger Vid Barry.
I would like Barry to do this series with basketball players... is Chris Bosh a HOFer? Is Tracy McGrady a HOF? Etc
Both of those guys are literally already inducted to the HOF
He may have had some rocky performances, but as a Bears fan, I can tell you he ALWAYS had our number. Always.
As a saints fan Matt Ryan is a damn good QB. Matt Ryan just needed a solid defense.
your commentary is thorough and entertaining. good luck in the future.
Honestly? In the vein of someone like, say, Dan Fouts, Ryan may very well be a Hall of Famer. He's definitely the best quarterback the Falcons have ever had and that's even accounting for easier passing yard totals. Maybe a step above Matthew Stafford, who is also underappreciated to some degree.
Ehh...that's iffy honestly. And if Stafford wins a SB he immediately jumps ahead of Ryan without a doubt.
Barry your hate for Brady is the thing of legend 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I'm surprised you didn't mention the 2014 season finale against Carolina. Believe it or not, that game was actually to decide the NFC South. Yes, the 2014 6-10 Falcons weren't eliminated until Week 17. And Matt Ryan wasn't very good in that game, but the whole team was bad, and that pretty much got Mike Smith fired, leading to Dan Quinn.
Bro, Mike Smith was out the door long before that, it just took Arthur Blank too long to say the final word until Black Monday for coaches. I was shocked he was still coaching the team after 2013
This video just brought me back a shitstorm of bad memories from past Falcons teams
highest passer rating ever in 2016 (reg szn + playoffs)
Are you the same Barry McCockiner from the old school Atlanta Falcons Message Board? Great video, by the way! There are quite a few Falcons "fans" who need to see this most of all, sadly.
You know who the Falcons OC was during the 28-3 collapse? Kyle Shanahan.
Guess who the 49ers head coach was when THEY lost their Super Bowl? That's right, it was Kyle Shanahan.
If both teams ran the ball more and chewed up the clock, we're not having this conversation - defensive gaffes notwithstanding.
2019 he put players in position to make plays and Chris Jones batted 3 balls, he ran the ball as much in the 3rd and 4th as he did in the 1st half, it's a lazy take and its wrong.
@@RockinRobb01 But the end result is the same, so what's your point?
@@RockinRobb01 Point is he does the opposite of what he should. Situational IQ is lacking to be such a prime offensive mind.
@@aervaealtonelty9850 We. Ran. The. Ball. Just. As. Much
8:24 wait, are we not going to dwell on that? That might be the dumbest thing to ever do in a football game. An onside kick in a playoff game WITH THE LEAD.
Yes he is. He's the best player in the history of our franchise besides Julio and is definitely a top 10 qb all time.
If Joe Namath is in the football HOF Matt Ryan definitely belongs in the HOF
I wonder if he’ll do well with the colts
7:56 dude that's 100% A PASS INTERFERENCE lmao they truly didn't want Matty Ice to win
What else does Matt has to do to make the hall all Matt really had was targets to throw to the besides for Michael turner and two years of devonte freeman had no running support only Alex Mack and jake Matthews had only been his good offensive linemen and only had a top ten defense once. And of everything Matt has done for the falcons the fans still clown him bc him and Julio couldn’t get a sb ring 65 percent of Matt’s career has been wasted by the falcons
he had the ball tied at 28 and couldnt get a fg to win. his defense dominated wilson and rodgers. god forbid his defense slips late against brady and now ryan is asked to be clutch at least once in that playoff run.
Matt is top 10 in number of comebacks. Definitely is a clutch QB, very few games where he lost and had the ball last
@@addster124 I guess he all ways has to be clutch u can’t be perfect bro they should’ve ended the game with the Julio catch but holding and dumb play calling
@@addster124 and the defense couldn’t stay dominant when needed u can try to blame Matt but when hu know the defense didn’t force a single 3rd on their overtime drive u just can’t blame the offense the offense (mostly) gave them the lead the defense has to hold
I'm not just referring to the infamous S.B. against LUCKY - ASS - Brady but, the Falcons blew SO MANY leads, it just became "BIZZARE", more than "disappointing". The Bobby Petrino thing, is another bizzare chapter, in their "shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly" saga
He’s only had a top 10 defense once out of his career I think and sub par rbs not his fault
I could be wrong but I think it was 2, and in both of those season the Falcons went to the playoffs. Pain
The ending tho 😂
#tom Brady mones when wipes his ass
Man won an mvp and has been consistently good he’s been limited by defense most of his career
28-3
@@terrenceallen4929 Matt has only had targets to throw to in his career but people use that against him like he doesn’t have a good oline only jake matthews and Alex Mack r the only fucking linemans worth a damn in his career
@@nhif33 and a consistent shitty defense that Super Bowl is definitely one of the worse days of my life
As a Bucs fan, nothing was better than watching “Matty Ice” choke again and again. That being said, I always respected his game and he seems like a great guy
Day 1 of asking Barry to use chapters on his videos
I second this
As a young falcons fan I sent Matt ryan a letter in 2009 saying he was my hero, and he never responded, so no he is not a hall of famer
It’s 2023… you can finally accept that your mom or dad probably just threw it out. Like a letter to Santa, thrown in the trash.
I think he gets in. His defense lets him down every year.
the defense sure let him down in that 24-2 2011 game.
8:27 idk man that looks like dpi on corner covering Baldwin
Do one of these for Ben Roethlisberger
Bro I remember The 28-3 Game man my Cousin Was So mad😂
Even if Matty isn’t a hof we can all agree that he is better then Tom brady
as a saints fan I agree
leagues ahead. the SB loss was not his fault. great QB
Matty is more skilled than Brady put Matt Ryan on the patriots he would won 6 Super Bowls...
Idk, Brady and his team made two comebacks against him last year.
Pretty sure that makes Matty Brady's son
lmaooo another goat hater gotta love them 😂
You’ve gone from professional troll to professional troll and professional youtuber. Nice.
You should do a "is Kirk cousins a good quarterback"
I think he’s a good QB.
Not elite and most certainly not a HOF but he’s definitely no slouch.
@@gridirongod4207 He was elite this year. Top 10 in every positive category. Best quarterback under pressure (passer rating), 27th o-line, the 3 years he has been with Minnesota the o-line has the worst 3 back to back seasons in NFL history and he still had great season. Very underated. He isn't flashy by the numbers don't lie he is elite.
Depends on what your definition of good is. Is he worth his contract as a vikings fan no. Is he better than average qb yes. He's not bad but he isn't someone's that going to get you over the hump.
22:11 I don't understand your point about him not being in the Pro Bowl because of the team record when you earlier stated that he went to the Pro Bowl in 2014 when the Falcons went 6-10
He did make the Pro Bowl but backed out because of an injury. He was replaced by Trubisky.
He would have at least one Super Bowl if he had Brady’s defenses
I'm a Niners fan, but traditionally when viewing the Belichick - Brady Patriots, you could rely on them having a very balanced team. Getting a free ride against the balanced Pats teams was not going to happen often. You'd have to work against Belichick's defenses and sooner or later, you'll mess up and Brady will make you pay with the extra given opportunity.
With Matt Ryan and Drew Brees, they pretty much never had the luxury Brady had of consistently decent defenses and a coach that knew how to turn the screws against some high powered offenses like the Rams a few years back.
I know I'm going off topic more, but I'm actually disappointed Belichick and Brady had the "divorce" they had. They completed each other well and gave a lot of opportunities for the Pats to win a lot.
Oh, he wins way more than 1
And he’d probably have 3 if he had Brady’s offense 💀
Goat 🐐 Brady 7 rings and more then Ryan 0 rings and CHOKED away a 28-3 lead
@@y--8449 Ryan didn’t choke that game, the defense and OC did. Typical middle schooler
