Hi Emma , maybe doing the playroom in categories would help. So teddies, then puzzles, then board games, then card games then crafts, then books, then clothes, then electronics, then random things. Etc. in whatever order suits you and your daughter most. Xx cant wait to see that video 😍
Hello! I was starting to think we weren’t going to see you today😂 great to see you posted. The Traitors!! I bloomin LOVE the Traitors. We’ve watched them all,English,Scottish Australia. I think your worktops are looking much clearer,do you like it more? Seeing ‘space’ I make my friends laugh, these days they pop in for a coffee and never fail to say my downstairs looks bare, I don’t care, my house none of their business😂😂😂😂 I love the ‘looks like no one lives here’ look😂 That’s only happened to me this past few years though,I tell you something though it’s so darn easy to clean when you don’t have to keep moving stuff out the way. Suits me. Lovely as always to see you. 🥰🥰x
@@gettingtidy2495 we watched them all on bbc iPlayer. I got it wrong though🤦🏼♀️ we’ve watched the English one with Claudia 2 seasons, the Australian one with a host called Craig,2 series, we’ve watched the American one but that’s filmed in Scotland hosted by Alan Cummins the second season is on there to watch too. Oh it’s brilliant.x
@@gettingtidy2495 just wanted to say, I’d trade all my bare, tidy home for having my kids young again🥰 you’re enjoying your daughter and that’s the very most important thing. Now my house only gets messy when my grandchildren come around, we have fun and play games etc then all put away once they’ve gone home, we’ve not much here for them really but they seem to have a great time. That’s all I care about. ❤️
Hi, wow you've been busy today! great video really enjoyed it, I wonder if you could pack some of your crockery or other kitchen items out of your cupboards anything that's none food and used but not every day use in those boxes on top on the cupboards, and so free up space for things you use every day
Looks like you have some Sylvanian family bits they would look ace on one of the shelves displayed together. If you were able to sell some bits you could put the money by for any new things your daughter was interested in or a treat day out As your daughter gets older this space will be excellent for studying and spending time with her friends while being home. Gradual organisation will make the task less daunting. I look forward too see what you've done each day. ❤
My daughter said today she wants to sell the Theatre.... She said "one more show and then we'll sell it" 😔🥲 Makes me feel sad.... Yes she has got some Sylvanians. They are so cute 🥰
To get better storage inside the wardrobe in the playroom, find some matching sized milk crates,(plastic, wood or metal-something sturdy)lay on their sides with the fronts open, then lay a board on top to make shelves.Put ALL of the games and craft kits in there and that space becomes the limit to how many to keep.(Dana K. White calls it the container method) When the next craft kit is completed, she can get another one, etc. Also, one tall bookcase to hold ALL of her books(another container limit) or two low ones that can be next to each other against the wall like a counter space or back to back with a top like a center island to be a play surface. The BEST organizing system is “like with like”🙌🏻
Hi Emma, you are getting there, bit by bit! I applaud your efforts. Can I encourage you to watch one of my favorite US UA-camrs named Hillary. Her channel is called ‘Old World Home’ and today she had such a good organized home video. It’s titled ‘Family of 6 in 1600 sq ft organized home tour’. It shows how much easier it is to keep a tidy home when your inventory is less. Hillary is a lovely Mom of 4 whose home is on the smaller size. Anyway, I am enjoying watching you get tidier and appreciate your honesty and vulnerability. 😊
Hi emma your daughter has a lot of stuff in her playroom cant you get a big bookcase to put all the games craft stuff on just a suggestion then you would have floor space 😅
Hi Emma great video love ur videos ur house looks great it looks lovely and homely love listening to u talk and tell us about ur day wt ur family lots of love from Barbara ❤
Yes get rid of the containers if they are empty or use them outside. You will find your kitchen easier to work in the less there is there - even on the top of the cupboards! If Wednesday is a bit mad on timings and it sounds like it is, how about planning a meal that can all be cooked the day before while you are doing that day’s cooking? I find that eg bolognese cooked the day before and reheated tastes better and then the pasta is literally 10 minutes. Hopefully there would be some meal options for you that could also take 10 minutes…. The play room…..I think your daughter needs to spend a few 10 minute sessions with you in there actually checking that everything is still wanted especially clothes because that chest of drawers could be great to store other stuff. Once you get things ordered in there you can then explain to your daughter that she has to keep that room in order and keep the floor reasonably clear. In a year or so she will probably actually want a desk in there so that she can use it as her study for schoolwork - things change quickly with children.
Yes you are right. Usually I actually cook bolagnase on Tuesday or meatballs and it lasts for Tuesday and Wednesday. I used to do Shepherds pie as it was great for extra vegetables but my daughter said she had it too often on a Tuesday and doesn't like it anymore! I also like chilli without chilli powder! meat with tomato and kidney beans etc. The chest of drawers doesn't really have any of her stuff in it. I need to clear them out so I have more space for her stuff. You are right about getting her to spend some time with me to go through items. Decide what else she is finished with.
Hi 👋 from Australia 🇦🇺 Have subscribed Small houses and kitchens are filled up quick with excess stuff I constantly have to put things away or else it’s a clutter nightmare It’s a daily job to keep tidy I used to box up toys 🧸 books that the kids weren’t using in boxes in garage for a while and then rotate them Great video Cheers 🥂
Thanks for your comment, it feels like it's a constant job!! Boxing up items is a good idea. I've done that with soft toys and then rotate! Need to consider other things.
You might put small saucers and extra cups in the containers on top. It would free up space in your cabinets. I think you will find you won't miss them at all. If you don't then you will feel fine later on getting rid of them completely. Debby from Missouri US
I think just keep those above-cupboard bins for something else. In future, when you’re decluttering other places, I think they will come in handy. Oh…yes, that would look nice to screw them into the wall in the garden and put plants in them. 💚
🎉🎉❤❤❤ Hi Emma What is crumble exactly? Like oatmeal and fruit heated up? Or what? Her playroom has so much stuff that can be cleaned out, given away, thrown away and given to charity. Again u wont understand what im saying until you have watched and listen to many to the ladies process of Look for trash, then easy stuff.... things that shouldn't be there and or this item already has a home somewhere else in the home, then its duh clutter... that you been meaning to get rid of but haven't yet. If you start there, you are nearly half way thru the process. I think until you know what u are going to do with the wooden shelves...you can leave it there til yr ready to do in the garden as u suggested. Also it could be cute up there as decor and add some fake foliage and greenery up there and maybe some old pots or tea pot as decor. We do that here in the USA as another place to display warmth and pretty and not use it for necessarily for useful things but pretty eye pleasing to look at that make you smile and feel cozy.
Thanks great comment. Crumble is cooked fruit and then flour and sugar to make the top section. I think I'm going to do a big sort out next week. We need time to do some of the craft items. I'll have a look into your suggestion about the top section in my kitchen. Maybe it's best to have just tins.... 😅
I think you should declutter and tidy the playroom next. I wish i was there to help you and help giving suggestions. Do you have a freezer? I never saw a half refrigerator before.
