The Making of the Women’s Audio Bible by Courage for Life
Available as a free download on the Courage for Life bible app, here’s a fun look at the making of the first fully-female voiced NLT audio bible. Birthed out of Ann White’s heart to reach at-risk women, the new audio bible fills a void in the recovery process for women who have been abused.
Clinical experience has proven that the best way to help at-risk women and girls heal from substance abuse, trauma and mental health issues is through gender-specific programs. Courage For Life partnered with two-time Grammy-nominated artist Amik Byram and a group of experienced voice actors to create a soothing listening experience. Through the Courage for Life women’s audio bible, listeners are immersed into the Scriptures by voices only, which read the Word with the passion and purpose it represents.
The Courage for Life Bible app is available now for download and contains the full NLT New Testament. We’ve partnered with two state prison systems to make the women’s audio Bible available on all prison-provided iPads. Download the new app here: courageforlife.org/app/

Thank you for creating this Bible app with female voices. I find myself enjoying listening to the Bible while I am cooking or cleaning and listening does not stress me out. Sometimes I don't have time to sit and read the Bible so this app has been such a blessing. I actually forwarded the app to 5 other women I know!

Great project, However....We shouldn't need to Explain nor Justify WHY we wanted a female Bible reading! There are female sat nav's/GPS's etc...... I have been searching for months looking for a woman's reading as I just wanted a woman's voice, no other reason, no abuse history...... simply want variety! There should be more readings, in more accents available in audio format, it is crazy how few audio versions are available. I even thought of recording my own!
