Caught my PB last year (7.3) from a hidden Vermont beaver pond last fall. Favorite place to go, they Hit super hard because they’ve never been fished before, I go at least twice a week all year and never seen anyone fish it.
At 5:49, my heart skips a beat... (maybe go bream fishin' finally??) 5:58 ish "Gonna see if we can't do a little lookin' around for some bluegills.." Here's what I came for!! [= At 6:42 ...... NNNOOOOOOOOO!!! We've got to get you a basket!
Thanks. The Predator has been a solid one for us. Love the pedal propulsion system for controlling the yak position hands-free (forward and reverse). Handles big and small water very well.
Anyone got any tips for talking to a camera?? Should you explain where your fishing, what your fishing for, stuff like that? I’m thinking of doing a couple of fishing vids and I want the viewer to be entertained the whole time.
The biggest thing with visual storytelling is covering down on beginning, middle and end. Establish with your audience by explaining what it is you intend to do in the video -- location, gear, content to be covered, etc. The middle is the support section where teaching and/or entertainment takes place. There is the "meat" of the video. Ending is where you feel is a comfortable culmination point of the video -- did you achieve what you aimed to? Fall short?. The entertainment part is as much personality and character as it is content. The "entertainment" factor is best when you're being yourself, having fun with the content and achieving what you set out to do. Comfort on camera is natural for some but always improved through practice. You can read a pile of stuff but at the end of the day, hit record and start experimenting.
Great obsevation! I believe this is true especially for registration numbers on boats. The narrow keel on the front end of the kayak didn't seem like the best placement at the time of application but as a standard, it might be a good idea to place them forward facing on the majority of water going vessels. Although we have seen canoes and small craft where the sticker was placed inside and not immediately visible. Again I think it's imperative that the actual registration numbers (if required) be front facing and visible. Thanks Bobby G-
If you need to cross private property to access the water, then you need to receive permission from the landowner. Kyle lives in an area that has a ton of state and federal land that is open to all -- he accessed this particular lake through public access land.
Firelord360 If you can see the black box where the electronics are mounted, inside that black box is a 12V battery. Pretty slick little system. All the products are listed in the video description and you can build one out yourself if interested. The battery is easily accessible and removable for charging after use. The product is called the CellBlok and makes for an easy transferable option for electronics. Portability to the max. Thanks for the commenting!
I've got a humminbird Piranhamaxx 4DI. It's $130 or so at Walmart. Has down imaging. (there's one without for about $100) Works great. Just a small screen. It's simple to use too.
Great camera angles. Kept me glued to the screen the whole time. Nice fishing too 👍🏼
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks!
That is the essence of exploring and fishing. Nothing better than that!!
We agree! Looking forward to exploring many more lakes this season-

Great video! I was wondering why do you reel the fish to you above the water? Don't you want to fight the fish or what?
Do you have to get permission from the land owners before you go fish or do you just find a body of water and go check it out?

Other than making me want to explore...this really makes me want to buy a drone lol
Haha, yeah, pretty darn fun getting an aerial view over fishing spots!
What drone is that?
This was filmed 2 years ago so I believe it was the original Mavic Air.
how does your fish finder stay powered?

@@Wired2Fish how long does the system work before it needs to be charged again

We don't usually share small water info but there are a ton just like it throughout the Great Lakes region.
He’s got a bigger graph on his kayak then I do on my bass boat ????😂
It’s a 7-inch Humminbird HELIX pulled off the boat and added to the yak.

You wouldn’t know it from my 2004 Toyota Tundra.
Nice video. Called trespassing in South Carolina.
This was filmed on National Forest Land so it’s accessible to anyone.
