The Kengeki Goomba nu uh. The characters were definitely different. Xc1 had this orginal feel, that every character had their own time in the spotlight, and that they were there for something. That feeling wasnt as prominent in xc2 though.
Phoenix meow which is exactly why it was better. It seemed like some of the characters became irrelevant in the first game. In the second game they all are kept in the story and everyone feels important. I guess it's up to preference tho
At the end when Shulk says, "One day I hope I can meet them all. The people of this endless world," it makes so much more sense in context with the story to Xenoblade Chronicles 2. Absolutely blew my mind.

There were only very, very, very few games that managed to tear me up with their endings, and for a long time it only have been: Lufia 2, the first Grandia, Final Fantasy VIII and IX Until I managed to FINALLY finish this masterpiece and BOY did I cry in the ending!!! It's just SO beautiful and emotionally touching! The way Alvis talks to the player in the end, the way it's portrayed, the tone in his voice, the camera angle, the music..... Let me say it again: Masterpiece of a video game!
Goddammit, in these moments I hate being in college. I had to give an exam today and couldn't see the Direct. I go back home and hear about a Xenoblade 1 Remake. I had to control myself. Goddamit, I LOVE this game.
As a 90s who had never play the original xenoblade chronicles on either will and 3DS, i was shocked and touched by the plot and the twist when playing on switch. I am really immersed into game world and those characters actions. 10/10 by me
The journey this game takes you on is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad the series is seeing success. I hope we continue to see more games in the Xenoblade series
Rest in peace Etika. Can't help but think of him when listening to this. Xenoblade was a game that helped me overcome the worst year of my life and I always listen to this if I'm a bit down. Thanks for all the wholesome and funny moments and for cheering me up when I had terrible days. If there's something beyond life, wish you luck man...

This song is about Shulk and Fiora. The amazing, legendary story they went through, will never be forgotten. Please buy Xenoblade chronicles Definitive edition to show Monolith support so they can release Xenoblade chronicles 3 sooner.
I’ve waited years to play this game and I finally had the opportunity to. Finishing the game ago a few days ago (at the time of writing this) it rly hit like a truck. I knew this song existed and I left a comment months ago, but I thought it was the credits song. Having the characters interact with this gem playing was one of the best things I’ve ever seen in gaming. My favorite game of all time!
It speaks more than that... people in the fandom have described the song meaning in many ways. As meyneth and zanza, Mellia and family, Fiora and shulk. I believe this song can be applied to anyone you care and love, reason its so perfect its because you can give it a meaning to what you feel its right to relate it to
Man I just want a time machine so I can play this game all over again. I never thought I could love a video game, much less an RPG in the way I love Xenoblade Chronicles.
This song makes me emotional but not in a sad sense, I only associate it with happy scenes from the beautiful ending of this story and if you pay attention to the lyrics...man this game is a masterpiece in my heart
This made me cry Seeing i did it all in XC Completing every Side Quest possible (455!) Maxing everything out from the Affinity to the NPC's themselves. Completing the Collectopedia, completing the Records and trials, maxing all the Techniques, unlocking every single Armor to wear, every Weapon, doing every single Heart to Heart, going to every single place to fully unlock the Map, every Time Trial on the S Rank and defeating every single Unique Monster (with my favourite beeing the Wise Gremory, because of Rias Gremory😂). All the grinding, suffering and don't knowing what the fuck i should do for 2 specific NPC's to get better affinity. I have the absolute Perfect Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Save File I did it all and have nothing else to do in Xenoblade 1 but i will come back. I may don't know what else i should do but i can't leave them. Shulk, Fiora, Sharla, Melia, Dunban, Reyn and Riki, they all have a Special Place in my Heart Shulk: I hope you and Reyn stay Bros forever Fiora: Confess to Shulk already Sharla: I hope Gadolt made a Full recovery Melia: Lead the HighEntia to Victory! Dunban: I wish i had a Brother like you but you helped me beeing a good big Brother for my little Sister Reyn: Protect Shulk and protect your Friendship with him like a Treasure And Riki: Hero-Pon is greatest Pon Seeya Guys, i Love you all
@@manimanistatue Yeah, I was a little into the Operation Rainfall movement to get Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower released in the west. Took a long time but we got them!
Beyond stunning, every time I hear this I get a little teary-eyed. I cannot wait to hear this remade in the DE, if the sample of Engage the Enemy is anything to go by, this song will become more perfect than it is already. Christ, my emotions for everything about this game, it feels like my entire soul is dedicated to it. Everyone has their favorite, most perfect game, well this one is mine, and will remain so forever.
I’ve said this countless times since Secret of Mana, so I don’t say it anymore; but Xenoblade has been my GOAT for 9 years now, and I see nothing challenging it in my heart in the foreseeable future. I once feared Xenoblade would spoil my enjoyment of all other games from the day I first played it. Fortunately, that has not been the case, but as soon as the DE is at home, all other games are not played until I finish the DE, in which I will surely travel for 250 hours minimum.
I don't cry normally to music, but this, this is an exception. I think it's because of the melody that makes it sound calming and peaceful, yet nostalgic. Not to forget the fact that it is nostalgic as I beat the game in 2013, which was a while back. Oh, how the days go by.
How have I not left a comment on this video? I beat this game back in April, and from day 1 I knew it was something special. Less than halfway through the game, it became my favorite video game of all time, far none. Holy shit, every character, every location, every moment in this game was SPECIAL. I connected with and felt every single character and moment in this masterpiece. I don’t cry much at movies or games, but let me tell you this game got me damn close. That ending was absolutely phenomenal, seeing everyone finally be united after the seemingly eternal struggle of Bionis vs Mechonis, and the power struggle over the Monado and between the gods. I can’t wait for it to be remastered on switch, just so I can experience it all again.
After that mini direct, I had no choice but to go to this song. This really hits the spot. Growing up with this game has been a trip and for it to be remastered is nothing short of incredible. :')
To this day it still upsets me that this song is not in Smash because Sakurai only includes “Tracks fit for fighting” yet he included Calling to the Night.
Gosh this one OST makes me cry so hard after all. I can really remember sitting on my couch playing some Wii and finishing this game back then when I was like....maybe 19 or so. My mum sitting in the same room as she played stuff on my computer which she couldn't play on her own computer cause of hardware. And I just sat there and bawling out my eyes, and she was like "WTF? are you okay? why are you crying?". I just shouted "Shut up, I've ended it." One part of me was just crying because you will only play a masterpiece once for the first time.
Ik I keep commenting but this song is a lot to me. I first discovered it a few days after the reveal and thought it sounded beautiful. Considering I barely ever saw what xenoblade it was so mysterious and felt like a true treasure. Anyways I was gonna use this song for my 2 year anniversary before my ex broke up with me (I didn’t know the context of the song I just thought it sounded beautiful). This song comforted me during my breakup emotions, stress of being a high school senior, lockdown, and eventually being the thing that brought me to tears when I beat this game. It still helps me with some of my battles today. With all of that said, this probably my favorite song in this game and even of all time. Such a beauty :-)
As a man of the age of 26yrs this song and the ending really got to me on my first blind run on DE some weeks ago and pretty much cried. This same game also reminded me that 2 exists and I'm currently re-working on that game as well (I'm on Chapter 8 of XC2 for those curious so far)
Here after Xenoblade 3. Honest the game made me appreciate 1 even more, especially because of a specific scene in a specific hero quest. We have truly gone beyond the sky.
Sooo Soooo damn good. Finished the game today and heard this song... So impressed.. Well done! Some of these are hidden gems. Only managed to find this 7 years later... HOMG soooo good... this track and the game! Well done Monolith Soft
I went to the mall and they play an instrumental version of this song. I was stuck standing there. Memories of playing xenoblade all coming back to me. And now here I am.
So I finished the game today (had played it before on the wii), but omg I had forgotten some of the ending parts, so beautiful ❤️...cried like a baby when this song started
Heard this song yesterday for the first time and that it's from Xenoblade Chronicles. Ordered the definitive edition instantly. If so much effort is put in the music the game must be exceptional. Last time I had goosebumps was with final fantasy 10 title song.
Oh man, the music in this series is phenomenal. You're in for a treat. The ending themes to Xenoblade games give me the same feeling as some of the old square enix games like Xenogears, Chrono Cross, FF 9 and 10 did. Speaking of Final Fantasy 10, the title screen to 10-2 is one of my favorites alongside Xenoblade Chronicles' title screen.
When I heard it I immediately recognized Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed the OST for Xenogears, Xenosaga: Episode I, and several melodies for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3. He is, without a doubt, a true master.
I haven’t even played xenoblade yet (always wanted to but now I can when the HD remake comes out) and this song makes me emotional, especially with the picture this video uses. Just listening to this and looking at the mechonis just sitting there, the blade in a mostly empty field, and the fog. It’s an emotional sight..
It's basically the title screen (not exactly), which starts with an amazing soundtrack too. First time I saw this and heard the title song 9 years ago, I was already in awe, and listened to all the track until it repeated. Imagine being in awe for 350+ hours from title screen to the end of a game (and I still didn't want it to end), that's what Xenoblade did to me 9 years ago, that's why it's my GOAT since this time, I can't stop the thirst I have for the DE, man, the wait is killing me, it's not a good mental state to be in.
Mount Choco I’m using a new channel for UA-cam but yeah I think I’m halfway thru and it’s become my favorite game of all time. The reveal of mecha-Fiora and that whole scene blew me away today and it left my jaw hanging for a long time. I’m nervous to beat the game because I don’t want the journey to end.
I’ve only cried playing two video games: Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky and Xenoblade Chronicles. Finished XC this morning, and I cried. It was that good.
Hehe Xenoblade 2 references this song.. rex is IN the blue sky why shulk wants to know whats BEYOND it SPOILER ALERT xenoblade one and two are happpening at the same time two is the og universe one is Zanza's universe
Yeah. It's absolutely amazing. When chapter 10 hit I absolutely lost my marbles. That was hella crazy for a twist. And Shulk's voice? Made it even better.
@@Mon-Ark hearing that line was a shock and I had to hold back screaming when hearing the line. I'm glad I gave Xenoblade 2 a shot. The more anime-y tropes (even for Xeno standards) put me off but once I gave it a shot it ended up being one of the best games I've played and is a beautiful homage to the first game in many areas. Also Malos' Monado looks sick as fuck
@@ColdspaceDog I always have problems with these foreign translations, so I don’t participate in discussions of them, and I’m always glad to have the original Japanese voices in my JRPG. In both Xenoblade and Xenoblade 2, the “architect” is actually called God in Japanese, and the Aegis (makes no sense to me) is actually the Holy Grail (Ten no Seihai). Malos is nonsense to me too, when his name is Metsu (meaning destruction). These games make a lot more sense in Japanese, in English, I read lots of nonsense like “Shulk was dead all along” (no he wasn’t, not any more than Rex is). People didn’t understand lots of the story, and I blame the English translation (which was sometimes cringy when the original wasn’t) for that. Xenoblade (and Xenoblade 2) was even more powerful to me because I played with the original dialogues.
[SPOILERS] Man I wish I could experience this ending for the first time again. I got spoiled on Mumkhar and Fiora being Mechon initially and I though that I pretty much got spoiled on all the big twists but then I beat the game and the ending with the story of Zanza creating the world was so shocking and perfect that I sat there speechless for about 10 minutes trying to process how good and unexpected
***ENDING SPOILERS*** You know something? The one thing that -mildly- irked me about the ending was that I was waiting for Shulk to kiss Fiora, take her hand - SOMETHING - that would confirm the status of their relationship. But I got none of that in the final cinematic, and that was the only thing that was missing to me - especially with Future Connected now giving some proper closure for Melia. But it turns out I was wrong this whole time. It's this song. The song is about Shulk and Fiora, just as "One Last You" is about Rex, and Pyra/Mythra wanting him to know how she feels about him. Just as in that case, the lyrics of the song were the confirmation of their relationship this ENTIRE time: Shulk was in darkness as he pursued his revenge, but he found Fiora again. She is his light, and now that he got her back, Shulk will never let them be apart again because his heart belongs to her. In Future Connected, it seems like they're going through a rough patch, but the two of them standing together at Melia's coronation seemed to me like they worked it out. This song, and therefore the ending to XC1, confirms that Shulk and Fiora are a couple, and even more deeply, each other's happily ever after. Tetsuya Takahashi is a genius. I CANNOT wait to see the magic he and his team will make for Xenoblade 3!

GerudoKing Ganondorf don’t worry there also adding a post game so at least enjoy that
@@ColdspaceDog The new story content is not a post-game it actually takes place before the ending and I think it's safe to assume that it'll be short because if it was a huge addition then it would be hard to fit in between other points in the story
@@jacobsmith7094 it is actually post-game. nintendo confirmed that it will be a story that takes place 1 year after the ending of the base game. and it looks pretty massive
Gabriel Galaviz but that’s doesn’t make any sense because it takes place on the shoulder of the bions and by the end of the game the bions is supposedly gone
Who's ready to burst into tears when we all hear this song again in the remake?
I'm so happy that one of the best games of all time is getting a definitive edition with potential cut content being restored if the Bionis Shoulder was any indication. Buyin' this game day one
Yes!! 😍 Preordering always!!
It may not be day one, but I love this game so much
Hell yeah Im ready to buy this game for the third time so I can cry in HD. I just wish it were now.
@1998SIMOMEGA It was an area only shown in a brief cutscene and on a picture but the ID Code in the game suggested it would have been a fully fleshed out gameplay area
As to why it was cut there could have been multiple reasons: Release Deadline, etc. Or it was simply to big for the Wii to handle for that time

No you’re actually right. It doesn’t exist. People are not capable of truly making a compelling romance.
@@lordartoriuscollbrande7434there is more to an ending than romance
There were only very, very, very few games that managed to tear me up with their endings, and for a long time it only have been: Lufia 2, the first Grandia, Final Fantasy VIII and IX
Until I managed to FINALLY finish this masterpiece and BOY did I cry in the ending!!! It's just SO beautiful and emotionally touching! The way Alvis talks to the player in the end, the way it's portrayed, the tone in his voice, the camera angle, the music.....
Let me say it again: Masterpiece of a video game!
Play Ys VIII and see what its ending does to you.
Goddammit, in these moments I hate being in college. I had to give an exam today and couldn't see the Direct.
I go back home and hear about a Xenoblade 1 Remake. I had to control myself. Goddamit, I LOVE this game.
I fall asleep maybe half an hour before the start of the direct and only learned about the remake the next morning:(
dont be so mad to yourself!! :) you can always watch it later! ;)
;`D
Dude, I FREAKED as I was watching it, I was pacing my room for a solid 15 minutes completely ecstatic.
Is it?
As a 90s who had never play the original xenoblade chronicles on either will and 3DS, i was shocked and touched by the plot and the twist when playing on switch. I am really immersed into game world and those characters actions. 10/10 by me
God I can't listen to this damn song. I cry every time.
Me too! It's like the credits-music of Super Mario 64, both have something sad in the melody. But that shows the awesomeness of the games :)
A work of art I tell you
The journey this game takes you on is absolutely amazing. I'm so glad the series is seeing success. I hope we continue to see more games in the Xenoblade series
LazyVocalist agreed. I hope Xenoblade 2 sells well so the series can continue
The Kengeki Goomba I hope so too! I had such a great time with XC2 and I hope people have been enjoying it.
LazyVocalist Thankfully Xenoblade 2 is on a roll with a Million copies sold in a month!
yea, there is no way the series isnt continuing, this is the best selling xenoblade game and the 10th best selling switch game!
Rest in peace Etika. Can't help but think of him when listening to this. Xenoblade was a game that helped me overcome the worst year of my life and I always listen to this if I'm a bit down. Thanks for all the wholesome and funny moments and for cheering me up when I had terrible days. If there's something beyond life, wish you luck man...
same. this game got me thru a bout of depression i had in 2017. incidentally thats also around the time i began watching etika. I still miss him alot. Rest in peace man youtube is a way more boring place without you
Roland Weng hate to break it to you, but iwata passed away five years ago.
But yes, rest in peace to both of them
Normally I hate songs with lyrics, but Xenoblade has some BALLS to actually make me like a song with lyrics, that's an accomplishment right there.
GD Mythra All songs have lyrics. Otherwise they're just music.
This song is about Shulk and Fiora. The amazing, legendary story they went through, will never be forgotten. Please buy Xenoblade chronicles Definitive edition to show Monolith support so they can release Xenoblade chronicles 3 sooner.
This game is a fucking masterpiece.
pablo kriman and thats an understatement. i honestly dont know how any kind of media could beat this story. this is just fucking legendary
AND HERE WE ARE 😍😍😍😍🥵🥵🥵🥵

Xb3 in 2 weeks!
This is why I love Xenoblade Chronicles.
Mitsuda's vocal songs are all amazing.
My favorite game of all time!
if someone you know has a wii or switch and hasnt played this. get them to play this please. we need more people to experience this game.
This song means more when you've actually played and finished the game. It speaks of Fiora's thoughts.
It speaks more than that... people in the fandom have described the song meaning in many ways.
As meyneth and zanza, Mellia and family, Fiora and shulk.
I believe this song can be applied to anyone you care and love, reason its so perfect its because you can give it a meaning to what you feel its right to relate it to
This song perfectly captures the bittersweet emotion of coming to a closure and starting anew.
Man I just want a time machine so I can play this game all over again. I never thought I could love a video game, much less an RPG in the way I love Xenoblade Chronicles.
We're coming home lads
And I thought "Engage the Enemy" was phenomenal!
This song makes me emotional but not in a sad sense, I only associate it with happy scenes from the beautiful ending of this story and if you pay attention to the lyrics...man this game is a masterpiece in my heart
Why isn't this more popular?!!!!!!!
So many people hate this game and idk why

This made me cry
Seeing i did it all in XC
Completing every Side Quest possible (455!)
Maxing everything out from the Affinity to the NPC's themselves. I have the absolute Perfect Xenoblade Chronicles: Definitive Edition Save File
I did it all and have nothing else to do in Xenoblade 1 but i will come back. I may don't know what else i should do but i can't leave them. Shulk, Fiora, Sharla, Melia, Dunban, Reyn and Riki, they all have a Special Place in my Heart
Shulk: I hope you and Reyn stay Bros forever
Fiora: Confess to Shulk already
Sharla: I hope Gadolt made a Full recovery
Melia: Lead the HighEntia to Victory!
Dunban: I wish i had a Brother like you but you helped me beeing a good big Brother for my little Sister
Reyn: Protect Shulk and protect your Friendship with him like a Treasure
And Riki: Hero-Pon is greatest Pon

My Heart Will Go On. Eat your heart out.
This is basically a better version of my heart will go on
my heart will go on vs. "my heart is with you forever and ever"

You’re an OG og fan! I’ve been listening to this ost since the 3DS version in 2015
@@manimanistatue Yeah, I was a little into the Operation Rainfall movement to get Xenoblade Chronicles, The Last Story and Pandora's Tower released in the west.

You can hear the remastered here
The positivity in this song is overflowing. And god damn, this woman can SING!
I’m hoping that with the remake of Xenoblade Chronicles they will release the official sound track on iTunes like they did for Xenoblade 2 and Torna
Kirblicated
Same this game has a phenomenal soundtrack

After that mini direct, I had no choice but to go to this song. This really hits the spot. Growing up with this game has been a trip and for it to be remastered is nothing short of incredible. :')

To this day it still upsets me that this song is not in Smash because Sakurai only includes “Tracks fit for fighting” yet he included Calling to the Night.
And The Other Promise.
Calling to the Night did play in a fight though so it fit.
I just shouted "Shut up, I've ended it."
One part of me was just crying because you will only play a masterpiece once for the first time.
I cried hearing this. Because after hearing this I knew it was over.
It's okay to cry because it's over. But rejoice in knowing that you experienced it.
Love this ending theme. I was so impressed by this video game it took me back to a classic feel of JRPGs and this was the capstone.
...........wow.......this song literally made me cry! A friend told me to listen to it and I'm glad I did! It's amazing!
This game has great music but trust me this song will make you cry even more if you know the context of the moment when the song plays

Heard this song yesterday for the first time and that it's from Xenoblade Chronicles. Ordered the definitive edition instantly. If so much effort is put in the music the game must be exceptional. Last time I had goosebumps was with final fantasy 10 title song.
Get ready for an unforgettable experience. Good luck with the game!
It's been a month, how was the game?

I finished my first playthrough yesterday. This game was a masterpiece.
Going to take a break before going through 'Future Connected'.
I finished 1-3 and X. The whole series is incredible. But this first game is still my favorite.
When I heard it I immediately recognized Yasunori Mitsuda, who composed the OST for Xenogears, Xenosaga: Episode I, and several melodies for Xenoblade Chronicles 2 and 3.
He is, without a doubt, a true master.
Beautiful
I haven’t even played xenoblade yet (always wanted to but now I can when the HD remake comes out) and this song makes me emotional, especially with the picture this video uses. Just listening to this and looking at the mechonis just sitting there, the blade in a mostly empty field, and the fog. It’s an emotional sight..
Get ready for one hell of a ride. And most of all- to enjoy it.
Mount Choco btw I just beat this game today! This is the best game I ever played :)

Also Malos' Monado looks sick as fuck
both the both zanza and the architect are the same just two halfs
@@OnlyGoken i always forget about shulk's voice at the endXD

Xenoblade Chronicles is getting a remake for the Switch I'M SO FCKING HAPPY!!!! This game deserves the best! :'D

***ENDING SPOILERS***
You know something?
