That warehouse looks good! I wish I could scratchbuild that well, hopefully my future attempts will be better than my past ones. I know yours will be, just keep playing and learning. Keep up the great work!
Many thanks for the kind words! Indeed I still do have a lot of things to learn, especially when it comes to scratchbuilding. I'm sure you also will do great builds you are satisfied with soon ☺. Thanks again!
Hi and thank you for watching! So far I have painted the sides of the rails with brown paint and I did use white weathering powders to try to create a more varied look of the ties. But I agree that the ties still look a bit glossy and I should use more weathering and different darker tones in the future. Thank You for that idea and many thanks for leaving a comment!
@@SpringfieldAndWestern You're most welcome Sir. If I may, one way to knock down the gloss and add a little wood grain texture and give the weathering coat a little tooth for adhesion is drag a super fine zona saw across the tops of the ties, works good on telephone poles too 😉 Keep up the good work Cheers!
@@SpringfieldAndWestern Yes just a light touch as you drag it across should do the trick. Try it on a test piece first and see if you like the relief it leaves
Your layout is coming along great! Looking forward to seeing more.
Many thanks for your kind words! Happy to have you on board for the ride 👍
The building (warehouse looks great ) I like your videos.
@@MLWQC Thank You! Glad you like the layout and enjoy my videos! And many thanks for posting these comments - much appreciated!

Thank You for stopping by and for taking the time to watch!
Nice video
Thank You so much, glad you like it!
Nicely done, have you considered toning down the glossy black ties and weathering with earth tones?
