It's amazing to see a kid actually wanting to work, I wish we had more kids like junior, he's a great mentor for kids his age, I really respect junior. That burn is healing nicely.
its good to give those boys plenty of seat time when they are young , i remember plowing when i was 10 n 11 yrs old , great video as usual Andy , love the drone work too by the way
I learned to plow at about that age as well I remember my day saying pick you're target on the other side of the field and don't change it halfway across when striking it out haha
@@mzr800 They is something in the bible about when sowing seed don't look back. Somebody asked me what the significant of that was. (Looking for some deep meaning) I said if you look back you put a wobble in the field.
Man you gotta be awfully proud Andy when you look behind you and see Jr in that 8360 following you along you guys are kicking ass considering the weird weather we have been dealing with!! Tell Jr his doo rag is sweet!!
We chisel plowing with our 9560rt and our 8420 johndeere. Jr is at the perfect age for learning tillage . My nephew is 9 and we have him picking rocks with our 6430 johndeere. Today I ran disk on 100 acres we didn't get started until 2:30 because it rained over night. I plan on planting corn tomorrow starting at 6 :30 in the morning. Jr has some great enthusiasm for farming. it's great to see a young man interested in farming. His generation is the future for agriculture. Nice video keep up the good work Jr stay safe and farm on my friends !
Proud young man you have there Andy! Looks like he's up to any challenge thrown at him in the field, that confidence will take him far in life. Looking forward to planting videos!
the amount of trust you have in Jr is wild. he will certainly remember this for his whole life. the more i watch these videos the more i wish i was raised on a farm... thanks for the videos, always a worth while watch!!
As a father you must be over the moon when you watch your children begin to take on responsibilities as they grow up. You did an excellent job raising your children . Little man can handle that bad boy with ease. He is a man of few words but you can be sure that he will get the job done and failure is not an option.
Reminds me of working with my dad when I was 10/11 driving tractors . I loved it then and still do 40 years later . Farming is in your blood it's not a job it's your life . Keep going jnr great job
Good job Jr letting Davey drive the tractor he likes. Great video. I showed my nephew you working. He actually acted like he may be interested in being helpful. I will believe it when I see it though. Keep my fingers crossed.
Glad to see younger generation taking an interest in farming so many around here don't want anything to do with farming wish we still had a farm love the video keep up the great work good bless and have a great spring
Nice work Andrew! I had my 2 boys driving our tractors today. My oldest is 11 and he was running the old 8760 and my other boy is 7 and he was driving the 7270R. Both had big smiles on their faces
Awesome video dude. You got some really cool shots. It’s awesome seeing the kids run the tractors. This always reminds me of my childhood which doesn’t feel like it was that long ago lol. I remember those days very clearly so I know that Junior will too. I’m sure you have the same memories Andy.
Great video, nice rich soil being turned is so nice to see. Looks like so much fun to run a tractor with a plow. I’m happy for Jr but jealous too LOL. Strange how that drone came down. Cheers
Great video again, Andy. I got a feeling that boy is gonna be kicking you out of the tractors in a few years. Stay safe, please. Look forward to your vids, from Cape Cod.
Good job, I started plowing with a Ford Jubilee in 1953, I was 6 years old couldn’t pull the clutch lever on the John Deere 1951 or the 1952 A’s we had
It's interesting to see the variation of equipment verbiage used and soil conditions across the country. Up here your chisel plows would be considered deep tillage equipment and only used on corn ground or certain spots in the fields to break up the hard pan or the head lands where the loaded potato or beet trucks have packed the ground down pretty good.
I was a little tall for my age, so I was able to reach the clutch and brake pedals fairly easy. In 3rd grade, I drove a Bolens lawn tractor with a 36" mowing deck, an Allis Chalmers "WC" with a New Idea ground-driven spreader, also used the WC to run the cable for the hay forks in the haymow, and rake hay and straw, and we had a Farmall "M" for our 3-bottom plow and disk. The worst part was no power steering. They were narrow front tractors, and when one of the front tires hit a rock, or hole, or big dirt clod, it would jerk the steering wheel out of your hands.
I thought when I first started watching your channel I your last name was awful familiar. I use to travel Vinegar Hill all the time . A friend from high school works(worked ) there ( Dave W) Small word. Watching you and nyfarmgirls make me homesick. ( not enough to move back there with the taxes though) I grew up across from the Legion and P&S Textiles in the "Falls"
Good Video Andy, my dad and I row crop in NW Missouri and this year we switched to 20in rows on corn and beans, didn’t know if you was ever on 20’s and what you thought about it? You and Junior remind me of my Dad and I when I was a kid. I’m 33 now but anyways tell junior he’s doin a hell of a good job!
Jr's doing a great job glad to see him doing better! I watched Zach Johnson chisel plowing the other day and he wasn't going very deep so I told him that Andy at farming fixing @ fabricating must have a bigger tool because he was going in deep maybe he just wants to scratch the surface not sure but with all that trash like he's got you would think he would want to burry it deeper? Well take care and be sure and wear that mask!? Keep em coming
Glad Jr. Is alright ,little scare might prevent something worse in the future ! You guys certainly heave a tillage tool for every occasion , and all kinds of conditions to put them to use , trick is to know when to use them!! Random question , what percentage of your crop acres get manure over the course of a year ??? Planting is in pretty full swing here now !!
We took our discs right off our landoll ripper and the pros definitely outweighs the cons it makes it lighter and easier for the tractor and we never have to stop for plugging and the job it does is just as good
looked like loss of traction on a prop. the gyro was still tracking when the body of the drone swung into view. It wasn't a sudden shock from an impact, looked like a slow then faster drift.
Hi Andy, great vids, I love Andrew's enthusiasm for the work. You need to get him in charge of the camera a little more... Can you tell me what the Rock track was you used on this video.... Simon UK
Another entertaining video. Andrew sounds like Gary Cooper a lot..."Yup." Of course, he has no idea who Gary Cooper is! Glad it's drying out out there.
Hi there he should be going in the other direction then you wouldn't have the ridges. I have done thousands of acres over the years . But always found that straight tandem discs as we call them in new Zealand turning is easier on steep country and you don't get the ridging between passes
Do you have a video explaining your DRONE, what model drone & camera etc??? Great video, love watching what I used to do years ago (I did it with about 1/3 the hp lol). Jr. doing a super job!
Farming Fixing & Fabricating there’s a shirt that says “I don’t just fly drones. I crash them” I ordered for my dad. He sent 2 of 3 drones to the shop more then 2x

Great video. I watched it while waiting for the truck to show up to the field with my load of manure. Spreading today hoping to be chisiling tomorow
Offset disking on that stoney field sounds like my whole farm! You come to appreciate the rock flex gangs in a hurry.

Still cant get over how good of a operator JR is. You have some talented kids. Proud dad forsure.
Best way to teach them. Good kid you have there. Great video!
But junior you are doing well. But take care. You have a lot to learn.
Good luck forthe coming season

Jr needs to run a power quad. "Don't like power shift", made me laugh. I just dug 8640 out to hook to disc.
chris withington it made me laugh too. Powershift used to be a luxury
Lowell Walter - that’s what I thought too. 😁
Andrew, don't worry about hair cut, thanks to Cuomo, I'm going for the Boris Johnson look, from the UK! Keep up the good work!🤠👍😷

Great shots.. how much rock picking do you need to do after chisel plowing?
Love the boys confidence👍
Have you ever offset disc before? No.
Think you can handle it? Yeah.

I hear ya
Ya know it almost seems like one of the props came off or loose? We’re any of them missing or were they broken?
No they were fine
Farming Fixing & Fabricating a mystery then indeed. 🤔

I don't remember off hand
It almost look like a propeller failure. All the motors still work?
Yeah
An absolute pleasure to watch 👍👍
It's hard to see in video but are the discs cutting much ? Another good video. I was asking on the front disc on the chisel plough
They don't do much
What is the advantage of the offset disc vs. a conventional disc?
It has a more aggressive angle to it

Hey Andy nice off set disc, looks heavy, does nice job.
Nice video, Andrews the boss of you now. 😂
Picky kid love it, have him do a tractor review
How high did you pick up that plow cresting that hill?
I only had to raise a little, Andrew raised a little too much
Gotta be proud of that Andrew "Chiseling Machine"
How many rocks to the acre? Good job, Junior!
It varies
Good work and good videos
What happened to jr? What video was that in? Maybe I missed it
