My Instant Pot Is Leaking & I Got Burned - Escaping The Mouse - ETM-786
I noticed last night that there was a problem with my Instant Pot and it isn't sealing properly. I tried to fix it while it was under pressure and that was a big mistake. Now that it is no longer under pressure, I want to look the problem more closely and see if I can correct the problem.

I have never been a fan of the instant pot . I’ve heard too many stories of people getting burned/injured. I’m just a crockpot gal.

Sorry about your burn. I hate them because takes me so long before I can tolerate the pain. I use my iron and every once in a while I burn myself at it takes forever till I can take my hand out of ice water. I'm glad it isn't any worse but it sill looks painful. Feel better soon.

I've had to replace the o-ring in mine for the same reason. I ordered a few extra just in case I ever need them in a hurry as I have two of them and use them all the time. Glad you were able to fix your issue quickly and easily as they are a great cooking tool!

I did the same…I changed the gasket or o ring and it is working for me too … there doesn’t seem to be any damage on it although it was old

My daughter had to replace the plastic ring under the lid on her instapot.

That burn looks pretty nasty! I hope that you had it looked at by a professional? When you have blisters like that it's, it's very important to have them evaluated and treated properly. Scary!

I have had the steam leaking problem with both of my ultra lids. I have replaced the valves, but that has not stopped steam escaping. I'm becoming quite frustrated with my pot.
