- utilitytrailerp... is where you can get 2 free sets of utility trailer plans. In this video I cover how to correctly locate the axle on the trailer frame. I also give a detailed step by step account of packing wheel bearings and mounting the hubs to the axle as well as mounting the springs and u-bolts. This will complete the full trailer axle assembly.
Thanks so much. I'm planing on building a utility trailer in welding class in school. I did not now how to put the axle together until I saw the video. Thanks
I am on video 3 and agree, so far great job. I thought about building my own trailer because the ones at home improvement stores suck, even have poor reviews on their own websites. Unfortunately I have to buy a welder and a bunch of other tools first. It is worth having your own tools to do the job right. It is not rocket science, but certainly requires skill. Thanks again for the videos.
AWESOME GLAD I FOUND THESE VIDEOS, THANKS... AND I THINK I'LL USE SOME TOUGH RUBBER GLOVES WHEN APPLYING GREASE
Just found your videos you do a great job and I am planning on building a bike trailer this summer and thanks for sharing your projects.
exellent video dude, having the time to video everthing, to me it's just a little bit repetitive but that's just me, greetings and good luck from tijuana mex.
Videos are great. It would be great if you could put the Utility Trailer Build in a "Playlist"
Great video. Got a question. I currently have a 5x8 utility trailer and I was going to extend the tongue so I could add a 4x6 section. If I do that with having more then 60% of the trailer in front of the axle as you described will that be a problem? Thank you
I've heard both 60/40 and 10% weight bias on the tongue. I'm going to build a small trailer with a box 5' or 6' long x 30" wide to tow firewood with my atv so there will be no shifting the load for weight distribution since the box will be full of junked wood. I'll be using an atv with IRS so I don't want to squat the bike out nor do I want it lifting. The 10% tongue bias would mean a 55/45 axle placement, wouldn't it? Should I just go with a 60/40 placement? What would you suggest?
So using the 60%/40% thing, if I was building a twin axle trailer, would the mount between the two axles be at the 60/40 location?
love your videos. big thanks
Hello.... How long of an axle do I need to get for your 6X10 trailer build? I am going to get an axle kit.
Curious, is it hard to learn welding?
Our local tech school says it is a 2 year course.
Never figured it would take 2 years to learn how to weld???
probably 3 months to learn to pass a 3g weld test. if you want to learn pipe that could take some time.
Good info thanks but as im.sitting here on the toilet watching i felt a little.uncomfy when you were greasing the shaft lol
بسكم كلام ابي اشوف واحد يعمل مايتكلم
