I like your channel. Being a welder myself (welding on Nuclear submarines) I can appreciate your skill. I wish I had the patience to do videos of some of my builds.. including the do's and don'ts. I'm glad you mentioned about the quality of trailers for sale at stores such as Lowes, they don't compare to a custom made trailer.
just wanted to say a big thanks . amazing insight and straightforward info . thanks to your video series we are much more confident ( rebuilding) a car hauler for our powder coat shop
hey matt, would a 2000lbs axle be good, I will be using it for my small engine shop to haul around lawn tractors and the odd ATV? thanks, any small engine questions just ask me
Hey! great vids I've learn more about building trailers! I have a few questions What's the smallest house power welder I can use to do this project? I don't do welding for a living but I wanna be able to do my own trailer so I wanna get an electric house power welder to do this! I have a trailer that came with slipper springs and tires underneath the frame and the question is! would it be any problem if I weld the kit for the double eye springs? will the frame rub the tire W/weight?
very good plans and very well explained but i have a friend that want me to build one for him what would be a good price for resale if you dont mind me asking i see the one from tractor supply and what it goes for but i know these are much more durable than tractor supply so i didnt know if i should price the same or more thanks again
I am looking to build a snowmobile/utility trailer. The problem is I don't see many plans for that wide of a trailer (80+ inches). Any thoughts? I also noticed that you use angle iron, would it be stronger/better to use box steel say 2 inch? Thanks...great vid!
subscribed! i have been thinking about picking up some extra cash by building a few utility trailers i'm thinking about making a jig that everything clamps to then i can weld everything together. ....question how do you feel about running 6010? it has more flex than 7018 which i like thanks
Hello mate. Love the videos. m just starting to get into welding and like the idea of welding trailers for a self employed job for myself. But I was wondering what it costs to build a trailer and what sort of profit can be made per trailer ? Also this is a silly question that I wish I knew the answer to but I dont....where do I buy the axles from ? Direct from the maker or do I buy from my local trailer shop ? Thank you. Do you have an email addy I can contact you on? Im in the UK. Daniel
I'm also thinking about building a trailer but I was thinking about using Square Tubing 2 inch by 2 inch by 1/8 inch would that have enough structural strength instead of using 2-inch by 2-inch 3/16 angle what are your thoughts
I would not recommend any house welder for this job. I would make sure to use a welder that needs a 240 volt power source. These welds need to be good.
i subscribed to your channel. I also want to become a welder what should i do, should i go to a welding school or just go to a welding shop? how did you started. please answer that question thanks

Sounds good Ice, I look forward to my sons getting old enough to do projects like this together.
Rock-n-Roll. I'm not far from starting my first trailer build. At the moment I'm working on a manual yard/engine crane.
Looking forward to sharing these videos with my son
No problem bud. Welding videos are coming next so stay tuned.
Yes it provides much structural support.

Mig welding is easy to learn. You don't have to go to school for that
200 lb will work sure but, they are not much cheaper than a 3500 lb.
20'
I meant 2000 lb
