This clip reminds me of that one comedian who said something like “there’s a reason why when people are driving their cars, they have music playing”. It’s to fill that empty void and sometimes silence speaks more volumes than actual speakers; but we don’t like the messages of silence as we do with music from the speakers. Playing music stops you from what you’re scared to think about.

I don't disagree, but I'd also say that some people like listening to music (much on the same way people like reading novels). You can't read while you're driving, so maybe it's a good time to check out some music. The setting can impact the activity.

I truly think that this man would have so much to contribute to the world today if he was still alive. Most of what he is says could be applied to our reality today. But he was the only one who knew the pain he felt inside so I dont judge him at all. But I wish he knew that on the other side of the dark nights of the souls is usually where the treasure is at. RIP DFW

I was lucky, then I was blessed. I understand what he was saying.
But my rebellion against a tyrannical world has been to lean to cherish my alone time.
I have reached a point where I triage my battles, depending on my then present state.
But I am still willing to risk another relationship but only with a woman who knows both her value and her values, and I will come alive.
    Great framing & production.

i used to also share this sentiment i was wrong you need connection you need people, being alone with your own thoughts, actively alienating yourself for too long leads to bad things.
It's hard to notice the negative effects at first because its so enjoyable, you shrug off the pain of isolation because of the benefits, but madness creeps masking as intellectual epiphanies or what seem like fringe perspective breakthroughs, before you know it you're a covert nut.
Depending on how smart you are you can stave off the madness seemingly well until eventually your mind is tricked into believing the logic of illogic.

People know who the literate one is and the feeling of guilt overshadows real progress. For years I have been living that...
