When I hear Love Shack, the song takes me back to downtown Kent, Ohio at Kent State University....early 1990's. At the time, there is a three-story tavern in Downtown Kent, Ohio and it was called "The Townhouse. It features a hot, sweaty dance floor with the hot stage lights of all colors shining down on all the college kids...beer is served in plastic cups.....stairs there that lead to another dance floor upstairs. On any given Thursday, Friday, Saturday the place is jam-packed with college students and that is part of the fun....because everyone's there....and there is a line out the front door too. There is a big, open window of the dance floor that looks out over S. Water Street which is the main street thru Kent....Then, there is THIS song playing and the beat is shaking the old wooden floor of the townhouse ......The song is just pouring out of that open window and outside there are folks walking by...on a spring or autumn night. For the people outside, it's like looking into a fishbowl of young people who are just having the time of their lives. Thanks for the memories everyone and thanks B-52's for this soundtrack of my Kent State University college years. It's really great!

Just saw them in San Antonio! So much fun, they sounded and looked perfect, especially Cindy singing Give Me Back My Man. Yeah, they got a bit political, encouraged voting for Beto like they know him or Texas politics, but Fred kept it to a minimum, didn't disrespect those of us who disagree or ruin the mood for half the audience.

Saw the Cosmic Thing tour at the old Summit arena in Houston Tx. and the B-52's had the whole arena dancing!!!! What a great band and performers!!!
