Today on Feathers and Tarmac, we review the beast that redefined automotive history in every way possible and gave a new face to what a true drivers car should always be. Today, we review the Noble M12 GTO 3R.

-custom forged pistons
-Garrett t28 turbos modified by Owen Developments as hybrids
-Tial 44mm external waste gates
-uprated exhaust manifolds
-Exhausts straight from turbo to floor
-Modified track oil sump holds 8.5 litres of oil
-Pro alloy oil separation tank
-Pro alloy coolant expansion tank
-Pro alloy intercooler kit

-uprated fuel injectors
-Getrag 6 speed manual gearbox uprated internals (competition)
-gearbox oil cooler (switch on panel)
-Carbon front splitter & rear diffuser tuxman

Its a good thing these cars stayed under the radar and you can pick a one up at a reasonable price,but that wont stay the way as the word gets out how good they are

I have been fortunate enough although short to be able to drive the M12 GTO, and man what a car. Was working in a house down the street and one pulled out of the driveway, we heard it start up first then looked out of the window, thought it was a Porsche at first and he took of, my helper and good friend that worked with me and we are both avid sports car guys said, when he comes back I'm going to go look at it, and we did. The Guy was super nice telling us all about it then said, you wanna go for a ride, uhhh yeah, then took us one at a time of course, pulls up to a stop sign, you want to drive it, don't have to ask me twice lol, only got to drive it about three miles and wasn't able to really get on it much plus I respect others cars and especially when I don't know the car, how it handles under power and braking, I like to get to know it before really getting into the meat and potatoes so to speak. I now have a big turbo straight piped Cobalt SS pushing around 380HP on 93 with just the basic supporting mods for the turbo, charge pipes, intake and bigger intercooler and it's a beast in it's own right, lowered with only springs, not too low though but enough to feel the bumps. I know that NOBLE IS A BEAST and with 500 HP, JEEZ,,,if I had one and of COURSE the money and blew that motor and this may sound stupid to most if not all your followers, is I'd take a built ECHOTECH motor like the one in my car and swap it, I have to say and THIS IS from experience, the ECHOTECH motors make a huge amount of power with very little mods, and could easily make 500 HP on 93 with a ZFR 7163 turbo and the sound they make like mine is pretty INCREDIBLE, fairly docile when just driving around but let that turbo spool up and IT'S GAME ON, for a four cylinder it's got a sound all it's own, not ricy but a much deeper tone, PLUS it would save even more weight on the car that weighs what 2400 LBS, that's crazy. There's only a couple of videos that gives you an IDEA of what they sound like and they barely do it justice. Ever since we drove that car of course we've always wanted one and like you it's not about the name brand because I could care less about name brands although very cool BUT THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE, PLUS I like simple, I I once had a Datsun 280z that had no ABS or power steering, I like simple analog gauges, everything simple as possible, no distractions. Anyways love the video, brings back memories, hopefully you'll do more on this car, Stay safe and God bless.

Awesome drivers car, and a rare beast on the road. Always thought the Noble never really got the recognition it’s deserved and that’s was great to hear a review from the drivers seat. Strangely enough, these are like busses this week, I had an orange one drive past me only Saturday whilst I was walking, it looked stunning in the flesh waiting at a set of lights ( it’s. a head Turner) , will probably be another 15 years now before I see another one.
They are rare and yes totally agree such an underrated car needs more awareness 👍

Would love to see some of the youth today that drive these modern DTC computer controlled pocket rockets try to out perform this on a spirited b road or track! Half of them can't even control a fiesta st with the TC switched off😝

Great review and tribute to this fantastic car. I remember first seeing it on Top Gear and Clarkson was totally impressed with it. It's always been in the top few cars of my fantasy garage along with a Gardener Douglas Cobra.

I love raw events of cars, and have roughly £35k to spend on my 50th birthday in a years time.
Probably not quite enough to get into a Noble, but you never know!
Owned a Cobra replica and Tvr Chimaera in the past.
35k won’t get you a decent Noble but the TVr cerbera is a great car also for sheer driving pleasure and pantomime or the e92 m3 I just did a video on is nothing sort of brilliant but it’s a hard one I take it your looking for the tubular space framed car?
And yes I never keep anything but had the Noble around 4 years now
@@feathersandtarmac6456 yes would be a basic M12 really which I'm assuming still has a tubular chassis.
