Ephesians 2:8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- not by works, so that no one can boast.
1Corinthians 3:11 For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man's work. If what he builds survives, he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames.
I love you Tiff and have the utmost respect for you. I agree to error on the side of caution so no man enter eternal destruction. I think Christians should live their life ready to meet Jesus.
The Bible describes salvation as an event that immediately and irrevocably changes our destiny from eternal separation to eternal life in God's presence. It happens the moment we ask for it in faith, and is made possible through a pardon purchased for us with the blood of God's Son our Lord Jesus. Then comes sanctification, the process of living our lives in submission to the indwelling Holy Spirit.
I am a faithful student of yours and will be as long as God allows me to be on this earth.
It's quite easy to understand. Accept what the text says. The key is to "overcome" Jesus said in Matt 24; he who "continues to the end" will be saved

Does overcome mean more works,praying more, etc. how much is enough? Is it not all of grace. When does the Holy Spirit leave a believer. Ephesians 1:13.
What I’ve always thought about this verse is .. that everyone’s name when they are born, is written into the book of life. After all it’s the book of life , so then, if that person does not receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and savior in their lifetime, then their name will be erased, or blotted out 🤷♀️. I don’t know just sounds right to me.
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in Him will I trust
This is a subject i have always pondered. I pray all Fathers children stand fast in his word. That no one be erased.😮🤗🙏🏼❤️🛡️⚔️🗡️🙏

The text is a literary device called a litote i.e. a negative emphasis of a positive. Jesus said that all the Father has given He would not lose one. If salvation depends on us, we are back to works and one can never have peace. In Matthew 7, there are those commending themselves on the basis of what they did. If our names were written in the Lamb’s Book of Life before the foundations of the earth and you are then erased, it means God is not omniscient i.e. he didn’t know who is truly saved. If someone professes Christ but shows no fruit, they were never saved to begin with. In 1 John it says that those who went out from them were never of them meaning not true believers. The bottom line is the question how can I know if I have lived a holy enough life to keep my place in the Book of Life and the answer to that is that the righteousness of God is found only in Christ otherwise we are back to Judaism and Catholicism. I cling to Christ and Christ alone because I am a sinner.
The Apostle John described what an overcomer is, and he never stated that an overcomer overcomes sin or anything else works based. Otherwise we save ourselves and the cross is needless as stated in Eph. 2:8-9 and Galatians 2:21. No he said the following👇🏿
1 John 5:4-5 (KJV) 4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith. 5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
According to John an overcomer is the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God and has been born again. That’s it. Its not our works….its Christ’s work that is sufficient.

Do you honestly believe all these men lied? I don’t, scripture must not contradict scripture, and we know Jesus cannot lie, therefore your interpretations must be in error. Our works, doing His commandments, etc. do not justify👉Romans 3:28 (KJV) Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. 👈FAITH ALONE. We are born again through faith alone, it is Christ’s work on the cross shedding His blood for the remission of sins 👉Romans 5:9 (KJV) Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.👈It does not say “justified by our works”. It says BY HIS BLOOD.
Galatians 2:21 says Galatians 2:21 (KJV) I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, then Christ is dead in vain.👉if our works justify then Christ and His cross was not necessary and His death was vanity. That is a lie! Refuted by many scriptures. And those Christ saves through His blood are His forever because HE does the saving, not us. It is HIM alone and He keeps those who are HIS. When you deny the eternal security of the believer, you are robbing Christ of His glory and His redemptive power. Plus you focus on your own efforts or “works” and end up trusting your own self for salvation. Dude, you can’t save yourself.
What works did the thief on the cross do? None, he was hanging on a cross, all he had time for was to believe and ask the Lord to save him! And yet Jesus told him he was saved, without works. Yes faith without works is dead, because it is evidence its a dead faith, a non saving faith. And genuine saving faith will love Christ, follow Him, and strive to keep His Word. That is the sanctification or discipleship process that lasts a lifetime. Justification, however, is an instantaneous process the moment you believe and are born again, it is spiritual regeneration (Titus 3:5). And what is born cannot be unborn, what is regenerated cannot be unregenerated. Do not confuse justification with sanctification, or believe in faith plus works. That is not salvation, thats a different gospel Paul refuted all throughout Galatians.

Also whats your definition of "works"? If youre talking about James 2 saying faith without works is dead, all of James 2 is talking about failing to show love and only being half way with it. It gives you a great example of turning away someone whos cold and hungry telling them to be warm and filled without giving them things required of the body.
Sheree is correct though if you read in context as Pastor Tiff says to do. "Works" biblically is living the word not just reading it. Overcoming is NOT of your "worldly works" or good deeds.
Overcoming is staying in your faith in Jesus and staying in your repentance.
Romans 4
1 What then shall we say that Abraham our father has found according to the flesh?
2 For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God.
3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.”
4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt.
5 But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness.
@@thegrigs777 we are saved by grace through faith not our works its the gift of God an no one can boast about it. yes once saved always saved is false if we think we can live in the same daily or hourly sin an not seek forgiveness an think we will go to heaven when we die.Our works dont get us to heaven unless we call confessing sins to jesus a work as well as attemoting to witness to lost souls a work even if they dont chose Christ. How I read it is if someone who has professed to be a Christian then lives a life totally opposite , God can erase that name. The bible seems to state that a name can be erased…so why is that wording there?
I know none of us is perfect but with the grace and mercy of God , He can and will help us to become over-comers 🤗🙏🏼

Just know for yourself that your works are not what makes you an overcomer! It's the endwelling of the Holy Spirit through Yashua that enables you to be an overcomer. If your salvation is dependent on you, you would surely lose it! Yashua knows We have little strength, he said so! But He is love and He loved us first! And the definition of love is: Doing the thing for someone else that you KNOW they can not do for themselves! And how many times did Yashua show us that?

Once saved, always saved. We are God’s children and we backslide and we sin, but if we are truly saved we cannot live away from God for any length of time without the Holy Spirit convicting us. I discern somewhere in the belief we could be blotted out involves a working on our part to be ‘good’ to go to Heaven. Only the blood of Christ will get me to Heaven. Only God’s grace because I am not worthy. Self righteous Christians disgust me.
If your name is not found in the book of life you will NOT be saved & go into heaven. That is the scripture.
If your name is blotted out bc of the reasons given in God's word, in Revelation 3 :5 & 22: 18 & 19 that says it about as plain as it can be said!
Our opinions don't change that, or our actions either.
And Jesus Christ will not ever ,,,,, UN... REDEEME HIS CHILDREN

I believe you, I have a friend that was counseling me on my narcissists husband and she told me that it was not my problem to worry about my husband’s soul . I have been praying for God to change his heart before he passes because it worries me , well last Sunday he died 3 times and they saved him three times, when he came to after the pacemaker was put in him , he was so grateful to be alive and everyone that has visited him has said God still has a purpose for his life . I’m still praying that God can break through his stubbornness and prideful spirit and put God first , me second and , my concern is his soul he is in bad health and going down fast . I thought what she said wasn’t biblical at all , we are to be concerned about all souls not just your family . We have to have enough of God word to discern what people are telling us , we can’t believe everything people say if it doesn’t match Gods word then I will not be trusting their advice . I love the way you explain things from the word , God has given you great wisdom and you have really helped a lot of people bring understanding to scriptures. I’m so glad I found your U tube channel.

OSAS and Psalms 69:28 I believe the Psalmist was talking about those who were physically living at David's time, to be blotted out from the Land of the Living! He was asking GOD to take out his enemies that affected his soul and for them to go to Sheol.
Osas is southern Baptist belief. But i do not believe you will always be saved if you fall from Grace and never repent before death. If you repent and God forgives you and is restored to God then yes your name can not be blotted out. We are commanded to be faithful to the end.

I sin everyday either in thought, word or deed. I wish however being sinless was as easy as pushing a button. I think you are right, Jesus was pertaining to those who deliberately sin without a care and take his grace and Salvation for granted called hyper or greasy grace.
Hyper or greasy grace is not something talked about in scripture. They are man made names . I do not believe a born again person can sin without a care, just isn't possible. I do believe what Jesus promises, those who belong to Him , none will He lose.

@@the7tongardengnome I think the misunderstanding today comes from the perversion of the gospel today. Paul warned of a false gospel which is not good news, but puts salvation on the person rather than resting on the finished work of the cross.

It seems probable that all who enter the world have their names written in the Lamb's book of life and are safe in Him until they reach an age of accountability, and become conscious sinners. At
that point, they are spiritually dead and need salvation, but their names are not actually blotted out of the book of life until they have irrevocably rejected Christ.
Barry Seal . Read the scriptures , Romans 5 : 12 ; we are all sinners from birth . we are born dead in sin , separated from God . That is why we have to be born again .
with the spirit . There is one thing brother Tiff . didn`t address . By the grace of God we are saved by faith in Christ . when we Get saved , we are Baptized in to the body of Christ by the spirit , 1 Cor. 12 : 13 ; If a man be in Christ he is a new creature ( Creation ) born from above .2 Cor. 5 : 17 It is not the man of flesh who is written in the book of Life it is the new man born from God , 1 John 3 : 9 ; the only thing that the born again person will lose is rewards , which will be burned . 1 Cor. 3 : 11 - 15 . One thing you forgot to mention in your comment though, is that when we get saved we are also sealed by that same spirit that we are baptized into the body of Christ by. John 6:37-40 also says that Christ looses no one that the Father gives Him. John 10:27-30 also says that they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of Christ hand, or the Fathers hand.

Scripture says we are all born in sin. We cannot say every name is written- there's no scripture to support it.
I remember being saved at the age of 14 years. As I grew I began to drift away from God and Biblical truths. I spent many years living in complete disobedience to God’s Word. If I died in that moment I can only imagine what my fate would have been. Nevertheless, I believe that it all comes down to repentance. As Christians we are all tempted and sometimes led astray. The Holy Spirit will convict us and we have free will to repent or continue on our path of eternal damnation. “ If we confess our sins “. Also “His mercies are renewed each day “. God knows our weakness and that we could slip, so each day He is waiting to forgive us , and receive His children just like the prodigal son. It does not matter how long we stray ….. provisions are made for our save return to the fold . There are some who die in their disobedience and never return to Christ. It’s like being in class…. If you are absent , your name is not recorded. I am present and accounted for in Christ , my Lord !!!
I think the conflict is about, ¿are all Christians overcomers? 2ndly, the foundation of one's belief "Once Saved-Always Saved" determines how one would view Rev 3:5. Thanks

according to David Pawson....salvation is in three grammatical tenses....past, present, and future, indicating that salvation is a process, not an event.....and it isnt done, till its over...
Yes, our name will bw blotted out from the Book of Life. Rev. 3: 5. Why ? 1) "For I have found thy works perfect before God. " ( Jam. 2:22! ). 2) Spiritually dead, defiled their garments ( not holy,,,not righteous ) They are the ones whom God give them a command to "REPENT". Those who hear the warnings and do repent is called the overcomer.
"For I have NOT FOUND thy works PERFECT". ..is the reason why our name will be blotted-out from the Book Of Life. ..because his faith to our Lord Jesus Christ is not PERFECT. God wants us to be perfect ( Gen. 17:1, Mt. 5:48, Col. 4:12, Heb. 13:21, James 2:22). "Away from me, I never knew you, you workers of iniquity " . Mt. 7:23 (21-23). Christians who are DIS-OBEDIENCE to the will of God are workers of iniquity...he cannot enter into the Kingdom of heaven....his name is already blotted-out because of iniquity. Anything which is UNHOLY ,,,,UNRIGHTEOUS is iniquity before God.
I think the parable of the soil is very telling of this issue. Three of the soils did not bring forth the fruit of maturity.

He who overcomes. Who is he who overcomes? 1st John chapter 5. The church of Sardis was predominantly unbelievers
Tiff, if one cannot comprehend the complete essence of Christ, how can one get behind the pulpit? If God gave one the gift of eternal life only for one to lose it, why would he give it to them in the first place and make himself a lier? Does he not promise to finish the work he started? Does he not state that no one can snatch him from his hand? Doesn’t the father give us to the son, would he have to take us back from Jesus? Could you imagine Jesus throwing a “once” born again Christian into hell? What about the angels rejoicing with each sinner saved, does God have to go back and tell them it was in vain? Is God not Sovereign? Have you heard of these who are apostates and it refers to them? You must figure this out because I cannot follow your guidance on anything further. The last thing one should do is incorrectly represent God. Look at Mathew 7:21-23, this does not apply to the outliers, the ones out on the fringe who openly hate God, it is for those so close but missed it. If one knows Jesus and Jesus knows them, they cannot become unknown, ever.
The problem with most preachers and teachers today, is understanding the Bible in its context. The key to understand Rev3:5 is v2 WORKS.
I believe that Tiff is right and those that disagree with him are also right. How? One can confess Jesus. At that moment be saved. The question is the following? What it sincere with the heart or was it emotional? If it was emotional. With time and weak teaching one can live a life, just like a typical religion with no change into righteousness. Relying in "grace" for salvation. In the other hand. Someone with a deep conviction, running into the hands of God. Wanting nothing more that to live for Christ. With the fear of the Lord and making every day the walk into righteousness. He will never get his name removed. Some " christians" are living a light, superficial walk. The only difference they have with the world is : They go to church on Sundays. You might not be that type. But many are. You are saved into righteousness. Not saved to continue your same walk, knowing that you are cover by "grace". That abuse of grace is what is keeping many stuck in this world. Not everybody that confesses Jesus is a son of God.

Who is worthy to open the book of Life? Only Jesus is worthy he will tell you then.
When I have trusted Christ, my name is written in the book of life, and I can rest in His salvation forever. "These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may KNOW that you have eternal life" ( 1 John 5:13). My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. 28 I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. 29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father’s hand. 30 I and the Father are one.” (John 10:27). Isn't Eternal Life God's gift?
On this subject how would then john3:16 be true also how would that be for someone who accepts the Lord on their death bed?
Rev 5:3 is a promise of God, descriptive and not condition
But we all still sin, and therefore we have not overcome.
Overcomer means believer which can not be removed again from the book of life.
Read Revelation 22:18-19.

Hmmm. I know we can't be certain, and I respect erring on the side of caution, but this would mean what I learned about "eternal salvation" through Faith in Christ's finished work on the cross could be false. I thought once born again, always born again. Oh man, I need discernment! How can something so critical be left to doubt? Why would this not be iron clad and clear in the Bible???
What interesting about Rev 3:5kjv is it says the opposite of what our apostle Paul says in Col 2:10-17kjv. The believers sins have already been forgiven. The question about salvation is are we saved. If we are asking forgiveness every day we are most likely not saved. Our gospel today says we are saved if we believe Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again the third day 1 Cor 15:1-4. Asking Christ forgiveness every day means we don’t believe our gospel and as 1 Cor 15:3 says we believed in vain

Your choosing the gospel you like because you think you have to add to what Jesus already said he did. The scripture you quoted and Col 2:10-17 are exact opposite. Yours is to the tribulation Jew and Pauls is to the body of Christ. The body of Christ is gonna get judged by Jesus Christ according to Pauls gospel the Lord gave to Paul Rom 2:16. Paul said in Col 2:10-17 the believers today is complete in Him and already forgiven all trespasses and also blotted the law out for the believer. That future conversation about right division you and the Lord will have is between y’all.

and resurrection , when God by his word convicted me that I was a sinner 73 + years

Brother Tiff, I have respect for you as a teacher of the Word of God. But I do not base my Salvation on my feelings or what I am comfortable with or what seems like a "safe zone." I base my Salvation on the Word of God and that Word (Christ) can not lie. Regardless of how I feel and my feelings can change daily, God's Word is always truth. Salvation is a gift that can't be earned, it is freely given by God the Father upon our faith in his Son's atoning work on the Cross at Calvary. Jesus didn't just cover our sin with his Blood, he also became our Sin, God the Father turned away from him in that moment on the Cross and allowed it out of his great love for the World. (John 3:16) (2 Cor. 5:21) God is Eternal, all Powerful, Everywhere Present and All Knowing, therefore the day that I accepted Jesus into my heart as my Savior, God the Father already knew every sin I had committed up to that moment in time and every sin I would and will commit until the day I take my last breath. Jesus became every single one of those sins and even every thought that doesn't measure up to the holiness that God would require, on my behalf on Calvary. Once for all! Praise be to our Great God and Savior Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God! Whom the Son has freed is free indeed! God knows the thoughts and intents of the heart of every person on earth. He knows us more than we know ourselves. Therefore, He would not add a name to the Book of Life unless it truly belonged there. There is no reason for the true believer not to fully trust in the fact that their name will not be removed from the Book of Life. I'm disturbed by the ending of this video that says otherwise. It is not God's character to not know us or make a mistake about the true intent of every person.
I'm confused, and I struggle with Tiff's stance here. We cannot do anything, except to genuinely accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, to have eternal life. Jesus already did everything else for us. If we then need to be overcomers, after we are saved, this sounds like "our works will earn eternal life," and this diminishes what Jesus did on the cross.

Why would God, who is supremely Holy and knows all, add someone's name to the Book of Life only to later remove it as if He didn't know the true nature of that person? God does not make mistakes. There is absolutely no reason for God to add the names of people that He already knew would eventually stray or never really allowed the Word to take root in their souls . God knows all so there is no need for Him to add a name and then erase it. Knowing His character, it does not make sense for Him to do that. Just imagine God saying this "Oh wow, let me write this person's name down." Few years later as if He didn't know...."Oh no, I must erase (blot out) this name because that person turned away from me." Makes no sense for God to do this! This goes against His character!
I think you misunderstood it. Remember, God has given us free will to choose, He is all knowing, He could have as well decided to control us and made us to serve him only which would have been possible. That's why he gave us the free will so that he can see who truly is choosing him willingly. That's why out of the power you have of decision making, you can choose him today and tomorrow you fall back, if you do not stand up again, sorry that's when the blotting out happens. It's entirely your decision whether He knows your begging to your ending.

I am watching and expecting for the rapture/event to happen on Saturday, April 16th 2022 during Passover and the full pink moon.
Right now Putin's heart is being hardened from all the hate from everyone on earth, he is like a modern day Pharaoh, this parallel's with the story of Passover where the Pharaoh's heart was hardened. I heard a few years ago that Russia will be the one to start global nuclear war.
A few brothers and sisters have had dreams of Passover and rapture dreams with a pink moon. Sister Darla from "God's gifts" YT channel had a dream that "It was all over during Passover" and she said she had a dream where she woke up yelling "The 16th!!".
I had a dream last year where I saw the date of the rapture engraved in a cement tombstone in Hebrew writing and all I could understand and remember was that the end date was the 16th of a month!
And a brother from "The unleashing" YT channel had a dream that the rapture happened on a Saturday!
I believe that 2022 (Up until May 14th 2022) is the year of the rapture because Israel is turning 74 years old on May 14th and the rapture must happen before then in order for the Fig Tree prophecy to be correct. And I believe God is waiting until the very last moment which is the last full moon before May 14th 2022.
On my channel there WAS a video of a sister that had a very detailed vision of the rapture/event (UA-cam deleted it), she says that the rapture/event will be a bright white light lasting a few minutes and we will be transformed into our heavenly glorified bodies and brought up to heaven.
I give full glory to God/Jesus for this comment because I have been praying everyday for God/Jesus to reveal this information to me so that I can share it with everyone.

Theres no such thing as a book from the time of Jesus. Jesus did not bring a bible.
Over years and years men inspired by God wrote what God told them to write.
These men are called Prophets, and they wrote on scrolls. These scrolls were passed down over time.
In Jesus time you would have to go to a synagogue to hear the words of God because it wasnt common practice to walk around with paper that had the words of God written on them.
Even Jesus went into synagogues and read from scrolls to tell people prophecies had been fulfilled from his coming to Earth.

This is my problem with Christianity. A false promise of salvation if you believe in Christ, all kinds of overcoming requirements. There is no reassurance. This verse even suggests that Jesus may ersase someone's name. Terrible. Once saved always saved is heresy, so you just stay in the trradmill until you die, in hopes that God is satisfied with rhe truth of your repentance. It appears that Jesus is lookimg for names to blot out, but if yiu are an overcomer then your name will not be blotted out.

"Can My Name Be Erased From The Book Of Life?"
Very good question kind Sir..."The book of Life" AND the "Book of Deeds" had bugged me for over 69 years about "blotted" names from the book! So...
I first believed that there was only one book. Then I found out there were two books (above). However Jesus, who IS God; didn't write the 2nd Book. Rather He had his angels write the Book of Deeds. Further...
Jesus wrote the Book of Life BEFORE creation; and the angels writes the Book of Deeds AFTER the act. So this means that Jesus' book was written at one time. But the angel's book must wait until each act that happens. Even births and deaths. And that is still happening now; in the book!. Wow!
Also; Jesus put ALL names and acts BEFORE creation, in the Book of Life. But the angels PUT the names in one by one; and the same for their acts in the book. This tends to confuse many Christians (including me) when they are reading different verses about these books. Not to mention; that when Jesus blotted the names; of those who are going to hell; he did NOT remove them. Rather he just "redacted" (blotted) those names.
That means; It is still there; but NO one can see it . Just like in WWII; where the military blotted many words of all letters; so the Germans could not get important information in the war. But again, the words were still there. But no one can see them!
Now be careful with the "Book of Life"; because Jesus sealed that book; with "7 Seals" before creation. Thus, only on "Judgment Day"; will any one see what is in that book. But when that last 7 is opened by Jesus; EVERY one will see that the Book of Deeds; IS exactly (word for word) from cover to cover. Proving that Jesus was not ONLY the "Son". But He was also the ONLY one; that was deemed worthy; to open that last Seal. Praise Jesus' Holy Name.
And remember; there can be NO putting in and then taking out of names in the Book of Deeds; because the Book of Life has been sealed and they must be exact. Proving "OSAS". Believe it or not....

So the Elders put them into Jesus' LEFT hand. Then Jesus cast ALL those into a "Burning Lake Fire" (Hell).Then, Jesus tells His Angels; to send the Born Again's; and enter one of 12 "Pearly Doors"; in the NEW Jerusalem. And a NEW Holy Temple.
And Jesus will destroy ALL that were "Old". And He creates ALL NEW things. Just Jesus creates a NEW Earth, A NEW Heaven, and of the (Born Again's) will have a NEW Body, a NEW name and a New Life; and that is Forever!
Now, Could we be Wrong? ABSOLUTELY YES! But ALL others could be Wrong Too! Even the books of Bible writers; could be Wrong. End of Story.
And I will not ever touch the one; that said we were Wrong. For I never debate nor Argue, who say we are Wrong! Just walk away. Praise Jesus' Holy Name. AMEN!
