I would have to agree that it’s a perk more than it’s a problem. I just found it a bit more difficult to be social in YC. Otherwise, it was a nice quiet place to escape the literal boatload of people in the regular part of the ship.
@@TravelingWithTravis Hi Travis! Since I posted my comment, I have had a huge falling out with MSC and will never travel with them again. I booked 8 YC Cabins for an upcoming cruise and they moved all my cabins. They were all next to each other and come to find out, they moved them all over YC to different decks! I'm so livid.
Aw, thanks for watching, Brooklyn! With as crowded as ships have been lately, if you can afford to spring for YC, I’d say it’s more worth it than ever. Either way, happy sailing 😃
Why are you getting mean comments? I don’t understand! You are so much fun. Your videos are engaging and also fun! My dream is to be on a sailing with you. I’m glad you are taking such comments lightly but honestly I don’t get why anyone would be mean to you! 😮 ~ Inge ❤️
It’s really just par for the course when posting stuff on the internet. It’s rare for me, but they do come in every now and then. I don’t get upset by them, I take whatever criticism they include as constructively as possible, and laugh off the rest.
I watch a lot of cruise tubers and trust me there is plenty of hate to go around. People feel entitled to be nasty about practically anything in the comments. Idk if it is people being upset about someone saying something negative about their favorite lines/experience, jealousy, or just plain rudeness.
I don’t understand the isolation comment. It’s not like you’re sequestered in the yacht club, right? If you wanted to go to a nightclub or attend the White Party, you could. If you want to go on the waterslides, as I saw you enjoyed that other videos, you could. I was looking at YC having the best of both worlds - access to the full ship and all it offers, and a way to enjoy the dining room and pool and Ocean Cay without having to be with masses of people. Could you explain more what you mean by it wasn’t easy for you to experience both? Thank you.
@@michelehaase5197 I guess it’s a little hard to explain, and it seems most people don’t agree with our sentiment. Of course you can go basically wherever you want, we just felt obligated to spend as much time as possible in YC because we paid so much more for that experience. The people in YC weren’t as friendly and willing to mingle as those in the rest of the ship, so we didn’t really make any friends like we normally do. We did do waterslides and all that, and had so much fun that day. We loved Yacht Club, and will definitely do it again if the price is right.
Save yourself $$$ and book Aurea if you don't like the "isolation". I paid lots of money in order to enjoy luxury & being pampered in YC area. NOT Jonesing to be pushed & huddled w/GenPop in MDR or Buffet.
Hello Christian. My apologies if you didn’t find this video helpful, but it was clearly stated that this was a follow up to an entire, multi-part vlog series that goes into detail about everything we experienced on MSC Meraviglia, in Yacht Club, and at our multiple ports of call. You’re welcome to go back and watch the series, but if that’s too much for you, then feel free to find somewhere else to be unkind.
Travis! I am a Titanic historian. Would love to chat about her and the great liners. My wife, the lovely Linda and I love the retreat on celebrity. How does it compare? We are considering the yacht club, your thoughts. Kudos on your videos
Hi there Steven. I have never done Celebrity’s retreat, but Yacht Club is the best way to sail MSC if you can spring for it. Meraviglia is a big ship that holds A LOT of people, so YC enhances the experience tenfold, adding so many small luxurious touches, and the best part is, while the rest of the ship is dealing with long lines and crowded buffets, you rarely have to wait for anything, even when YC is at full capacity. Meraviglia is certainly nowhere near the level of the classic liners from the days of Titanic, but she sure is glamorous.
Good! I like the isolated feeling of the Yacht Club! That's a positive for me!

Considering an inside cabin on the MSC Merglivia. This certainly helps. Thanks for the advice
Love MSC! Free charms too!☺️
Thanks so much for your review. It’s very helpful! You raised some points about Yacht Club that I hadn’t even considered!

The studio background looks great my guy!
Helpful, I agree with some of the things you said.
This was a great series. It seems like you guys were able to do a lot on this one!
Yeah. We got a lot in, for sure!
Gen pop sounds like the regular passengers are in jail lol
Yeah. I think it’s kind of a running joke. I like life on both sides of the glass. Haha!
Thank you!
Very nice
Did you wait for the butler for the show?

Mean comments?
@@totallytania7978 yeah, Travis said he was getting mean comments and he was going to do a video addressing them. I just don’t get it

How much does it cost you to be kind?
This is a terrible review. You don’t know what you want, that’s not the ships fault.
