- i've wanted to create this video for a while now...the power of makeup, shironuri style! this is a 2 1/2 year shironuri makeup transformation compilation 白塗りメイク, covering nearly every makeup look i've created for this channel since i first got into it. i hope you can see how i've evolved my makeup skills and developed my own style during this time...it's been quite the journey indeed!

if you're new to this channel, hey there! ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ i'm self taught and have been working hard to develop my own personal makeup style since i started doing shironuri in february 2016. it hasn't been the smoothest ride - i've had my ups and downs - but i hope this video shows you that if you practice over and over...you'll eventually create something good. to me, that's the power of makeup. it hasn't just helped me develop the skills to do makeup, but has also helped with my confidence, and helps me appreciate my face more. there's still many...many more transformations to come, and i can't wait to share with you what i've been up to.

Minsooky It's so hard to pick just one! It's been amazing to witness the progression of your growth as an artist. I've especially enjoyed all the spooky ones a lot like the mengqio, jester, and vampire looks. The stuff from this year so far has me floored everytime I see it. I especially like the red pointilism look as well with all those tiny dots!

You’re so talented, and it’s so cool to see such true creativity, unfettered by popular sensibilities/trends. I really admire your individuality and ability to express yourself and put concepts into this art form which you’ve really made your own. It’s also so cool to see your style shift through the years - I noticed more horror/dark and dramatic stuff in 2016, more cute, delicate, pastel looks in 2017, and bolder, more saturated colors in 2018.
Rhiannon May why thank you! I've been really trying to do my very best lately so there's been fewer videos...but I don't want to get stuck in a rut. Looking back on 2017, although I did get better with subtle blending and contouring, I played it too safe sometimes. I'd like to do much better 🙂

i am always so mesmerized by your looks, sometimes it makes me want to try shironuri.. what are your advices for beginners ? and the most simple looks ? i think shironuri would help me to master blending too !
Inès there weren't any shironuri tutorials when I first started so I just tried to base looks on what I liked from other artists. I did a few Minori looks at first. Then I branched out :3
