Ok but how about the 1960's.....
I prefer Lall over Smarge.
I love you Huggbees!! :)
Smlarge is a really weird size.
I can't believe in the 1950s they called a filling machine a "rinsing machine"
🤦🏾♀️silly huggbees
Does huggbees need to reopen the hotline?
That was clearly a rinsing machine
It's to be expected. It is outdated information after all.
the world was so simple back then.... colors didnt even exist
Unfortunately the ad broke my suspension of disbelief, because nobody in the 1950s would ask anyone to stop smoking
definitely
YES! I’m the 420th like!!!
They’d ask why you weren’t smoking then acuse you of being a communist if you refused a cigarette
This is actually amazing. I love this guy’s content, he would’ve been great for a network like Adult Swim.
You missed his cameo in Swimming Adults 2?
@@theSemiChrist he what?

No joke, once WB eventually gets their act together, I think Hug could do wonders in any of their animation divisions, based on the heavy focus on WB IPs in the videos he made about cartoons or superheros. Maybe he could be part of something like the next CN or AS original as you mentioned, or the next major Looney Tunes production.
NO WAY HE ACTUALLY CAMEO'D IN SWIMMING ADULTS 2?! WHEN?@@theSemiChrist
Richard will never be as talented as a rinsing machine
He's not even comparable to the filling machine.
He'd make a good milkman if he could only stay awake.
If only...
We need to give this man a budget to make a real documentary

Oh, the 1950s. The decade where you could acuse anyone of being a communist and had to go to sleep knowing nuclear war could start at any second. Those were the days.
Yup😅😅😅
I hereby accuse you of being a communist.
Also I don't know that we're really all that less likely to have nuclear war, these days.
I think you got yourself confused with every decade past the 1950s and onward
And now we have the 2020’s. Where you can accuse anyone of being a Nazi and have to go to sleep knowing that a nuclear war could start at any second from all the proxy wars set up.
Now there's even more bullshit to be accused of
you’ll probably never see this huggbees but i have a little story,
my cousin was one of those people who would talk over tv shows and movies, an his humor is really similar to yours. he was killed in the Russo-Ukrainian conflict a little over a year ago and i feel great comfort watching your videos

Wow, Hugbees has been around since the 1950's and still looks so young? I mean this is proof. Everyone knows you physically can't dub audio over a video unless you did it at the time of recording.

Going to Hawaii was more of a 60s thing - part of the jet age. Before the rise of jets, you had to take a boat to get Hawaii, which most people had no interest in. But in the 60s you could fly there, even faster than today (airlines fly slower today to save fuel. NY to LA is up to an hour longer today than in the 60s).
That last part is actually really interesting, imagine it also allowed airlines to say they were greener
I wonder if more people would fly today if airlines never got the idea to cut costs in that specific way
@@BierBart12 it's a good question. I remember some UA-camr was looking at historical flight times and couldn't figure out why they were so much quicker than today. After much research the result was saving fuel.
So we've got to get back to flying jets at full speed before supersonic is even on the table.
@@PsRohrbaugh the Concorde was the winged beast that basically fucked this idea up so bad that no other company wanted any part of it. Check out the motel incedent to see how much better it worked as a missile than a passenger jet.
The airlines discovered that once the internet was everywhere, people would look up flights, sort by lowest price, and pick whichever the cheapest option was. Airlines had been going in the direction of making things cheaper and less comfy for a while, but the internet sealed the deal. It's certainly less comfortable than it was, but also I doubt I'd be able to afford a 1960s flight

The thing i love about Füm ad reads, is that its clearly a device to quit smoking, but they cant say that. Thats why they dance around it by saying "kick your habits" or something like that. Its great hahaha
Why can't they say that? It's not misleading or dishonest, I wouldn't think
@@cacophonousantiquarian8803 I'm not exactly sure why, but I assume that it has something to do with labelling tobacco/vapes as a specific product. Like, since they're selling it as a sort of medical treatment for quitting smoking, they'd have to jump through a bunch of hoops and all that.
I'm surprised, impressed, and saddened that it's both taken this long and already enough of a concern to have products to help quit vaping. Yes, vaping was les cancerous that smoking, but the nicotine was still a huge problem. I thought that the ad was for a vape, and was *very* concerned that it was marketed as "flavored air". But it actually is a product to stop vaping.
I’m allowed to smoke nicotine if I god damn want to and I’m tired of these FEDS trying to tell me otherwise

It’s absolutely crazy to me that there are people who genuinely think it was better to live in the 50s than nowadays.
