So in your opinion, what would be the bast way to target those giant lmb in lake chatuge? I've caught a few largies in chatuge but I can't seem to stay away from the spots.

Just wondering, have you ever tried fishing in lake Louise in Weaverville?
I'm surprised James is so high on this list. I've only been twice but seemed tough for me. You make it look easy with panoptics, seems like shallow water guys like me struggle there
We are shallow water guys by nature, the largemouth population there is really strong!
Lake Julian is nice to but it’s definitely tricky water is so clear you can see 30 plus feet down

as a western nc resident i will say my pb was from apalachia. hiwassee is good for numbers, but mostly dinks... or maybe i just dont know how to get the big ones there 😅
Are the largemouth in these lakes northern or fl strain or f1?
A mix of all the above, depends on lake

I really think Lake James could produce a record smallmouth . There are some biggies in there.
There some big ones in there for sure! There’s a few lakes in WNC that I think might have one!
Lake Lure, just need a permit and you're good to go. Annual pass or day. I doubt there's a hp limit as they get them boats out there with boards hauling ass. I used to live near there and was on that lake all the time.
Hiawassee Lake isn't meant to be fished off the boat docks. Those are basically pets. Feeding them from the docks are great entertainment for kids, and you can pay for fish food there, so of course you're catching them right there... I'm from Murphy, and rule of thumb is to not do that, as it's a privately owned dock and they are frequesntly fed by people

Lake Lure is a big secret lake. I've caught 30 large mouth bass over 10lbs. My personal best was 14lbs. The secret is off shore fishing in the winter. Love your videos Austin.
I kinda want to take my hobie kayak down that way i live about an hour away. Any techniques i should try for a first time fishing it?
But don’t they drain the lake during winter time? Or most of it? You think it’s better to fish when’s it’s less water?? I’ve always bank fished at lake lure near the park. What do you recommend to use ? I’ve had better luck using crankbaits. I’ve caught 3 bass over 8 lb using crank baits at lake summit. But I have barley fished at lake lure.

Don't talk about lake junaluska in this list. They did their stupid ass drain and ditch and killed the entire spawn this year its terrible. Somebody like you should talk to the lake commission about restocking the population that they killed.

A few things for you:
1. You posted anonymously, so you're a tool.
2. Our lakes aren't in the top 20 in the state so get over yourself.
3. How can I help where I am from (born in SC)? I've also lived here longer than anywhere in my life, so this is home.
4. Like Tucker mentioned, I care more about these waters than ANYBODY! That's why I fight for them. Maybe a "True Local" should fight like I have!

You say your for one but speak for another and what I mean by that is you say your for Christ but you didnt originally speak for him in your comment. Honestly, I didnt write my comment above, idk who did, I'm guessing a relative of mine who uses my account but what they said is mostly true(what I didnt agree with, I edited and took out) a good reference is James 4:1-12 specifically verses 11 and 12
All in all, Austin is a great guy and a brother in Christ, hes doing what he loves and is showing that to other people, hes even using it as a ministry, as his brother or sister Wouldnt you want him to thrive in his endeavors?
