That is, indeed, a Kentucky spotted bass. I have a farm pond stocked full of them, largemouth, and some of the biggest red breast bream you'll ever catch. Just caught a 16" and an 18" KY on a frog out of it this weekend.
@@landonmoore76 it's a great pond. Was stocked with f1 hybrids 35 yrs ago and I have barely let anyone fish it for the last 20. There are some monsters in here. Biggest I've laid eyes on was 6.8lb. Few large mouth in here too.
I have mad respect for u landon,,i tried kayak fishing for the first time last Sunday on kerr-scott man it was tough after fishing outta boat all my life, good luck in up coming tourney, fish on brother!
Nothing like hooking a smallie! I'm still after a 18" to way in. I only catch 15" smallies lol. Great video man. Wattsbar and Chickamauga is a 18" min. The bigger they are the better the fight everytime.
Fish rock early with swimbait and jerkbait. When the sun gets up fish the laydowns with a wacky rig or Texas rig. If you can see a bed at a distance cast to it and you'll catch them
Its always that clear man
It's crazy so clear and fish will start schooling in 100ft of water way different than I'm used to

Sounds like a fun pond to fish. A 18" Kentucky is big

Hang in there. It gets easier the more you do it. I came from a boat as well.

A 18" smallmouth is huge. They fight like crazy
great video, i love catching smallmouths, looks like the water got a lot of pollen on it now
Yes alot of pollen on the water. Catching smallmouth is the reason I go to that lake it's awesome
I was just there. First time catching smallmouth. Love the lake. Caught nothing but smallmouth. Lol
It's an awesome lake great views. Awesome smallmouth is probably why you came to that lake
There’s actually a lot more spots in that lake than people think.
Yeah more than I thought, and in 10 years it'll be full of spots with very few smallmouth
Looked like a great day
Thanks that lake is fun
Headed to Lake James next weekend, usually do Norman/mountain island. Any recommendations on how to fish?!
