Glad u got the CXS going from the train show have a couple of views on how u handled it 👍 think 🤔 ur not releasing the guys name spot on the internet can b ruthless and in the end u were happy that's what's inportant
Ray, congratulations on a year into the toy train hobby, you’re collection of trains in one year is fabulous. I throughly enjoy watching your trains and listening to you talk about them, your a great guy and your great for our hobby, keep up the great work you do on your channel and keep having fun with your trains! Ron👍🚂
That's quite impressive for one year in the hobby. Purchases are great and all, but you've also gained knowledge along the way, which will shape you in your second year in the hobby. Glad to call you my friend.
Ray, you saved the best for last! LOVE that ACRR Camelback and P-R Seashore Lines combo set! It was worth the wait in the video to see it in acton again! A fine collection indeed, you've come a long way in a year's time, a lot further than I did when I started getting serious about the hobby. My next favorite of yours? That Amtrak Dash 9 in the classic "Pepsi Can" paint scheme. I used to see the "Pepsi Cans" on occasion here in the Richmond area pinch-hitting for Amtraks regular power. "Frozen?" You hate "Frozen?" Aw c'mon Ray, let it go! 🤣🤣🤣 Looking forward to Part Two! Great show tonight and thanks for posting!
Been little under 2 years started with the Bata manards trains running on kitchen table now on a 9×5 layout its a learning curve for sure have fun that's what it's all about 😊❤
Great Roster Ray! I Started in the Hobby in 1972, but I only started in O-scale in 2007. I still don't have any Steamers, but that's OK. Most of mine are MTH, because that is what I like. You have a great start to what will become an awesome master collection. Great video, Ray! I look forward to seeing your rolling stock. Thanks for sharing!
We've been mth guys since the 1990's. Was a pain the connect that old mth wire on p1 and p2. But, have some recent, newer mth engines with that new connect. It often slightly discoonects, stopping the engines. What's your experience. The lionel infrared connector seems to be far better, no disconnects. Gary
When Buying Engines You Buy what you like The Best and It Doesn’t Matter if it’s Steam Or Diesel. That’s Another Reason To Love About model Railroading.
Very nice collection. We love our potter lionchief,....our only lionchief. It our cheapest set but one that so much fun. We added a 2nd dementtor car, $70 cleance item from trainworld. Gary
An excellent video. You've acquired a nice assortment locomotives and rolling stock in a very short time. I really like the Atlantic City Railroad Camelback. It is a fine representation of the real thing. My mom and her family would have ridden behind those back in the day, between Atlantic City and Philly. You can still get some of the same experience riding the NJT line, these days. Keep up the great videos and I look forward to the next one, as always.
I just got a look at your first ever classic train video that started it all the first video when came on UA-cam u came a hell of a long way I know got some great things comeing doing great keep them good trains layout video comeing buddy
GREAT VIDEO RAY!! CONGRATS ON YOUR 1 YEAR ANNIVERSARY IN THE HOBBY. MY 1 YEAR IS NEXT MONTH AND I WILL SHARE ALL THE THINGS I ACQUIRED OVER THE LAST YEAR. SOME I MENTIONED ON TTT WITH BEN ON BEN'S TRAINS. 🙂 KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. PEACE. 😉
Great video Ray,great story I also started with lioncheif ,similar to your story,I only been in hobby couple years myself don’t take long to empty the wallet in this hobby, love the hobby tho and wouldn’t change a thing love your the folks you meet , great collection of locomotives love the Csx especially 👍 neat track molbile taper is awesome 👍 great video Thanks for sharing
No $2K steam locomotives? Did your printer break lol. Funny you mention red tractors. I'm so used to green tractors here in South Jersey because that's what all the farmers use. However on my trip to Tennessee I found there were people who liked the red tractors better. During my visit there was a O Gauge layout featuring red tractors. I remember someone saying if you want tractors to show in a museum buy the green ones. If you want tractors that actually work buy the red ones lol. Others chimed in saying yeah that's right.
That’s The Thing About Model Railroading you are Gonna Have Friends That Are Gonna Have What you are Looking For.hell Get A Bunch Your Friends And go To A Train show And Hit it Till Closing.
The PRSL passenger cars are probably the closest prototypical cars available right now for that engine. If Lionel had made a set of ACRR woodsided passenger cars to go with that engine my wallet would have been in trouble 😶
Good question so it was other UA-camrs. I’ve been watching Eric’s trains from the beginning. Then in 2022 I started watching others like the 2 Chris’s. It got to a point where I was tired of watching everyone else have all the fun and I wanted to join in!!
10:11 does the CSX sd70 have dc can motors? If so, you could look into converting it to soundtraxx bluenami dcc Bluetooth control. Sid’s trains has a video on how to do an install of it. It only requires a couple extra components (rectifier and buck converter) on top of the bluenami board to make it work.
The MTH Amtrak 565 engine as most MTH, but not all the battery needs to be a rechargeable 8.4 volt battery, not a regular 9 volt one or a normal rechargeable (7.2 volt). You can fine the batteries on E-bay, under rechargeable 9 volt battery the EBL brand 600 mAh. In the specifications in the description you will find they are being charged with 8.4 volts DC making them a 8.4 volt batteries to me. For me they work in the MTH engines that find it necessary to have a working rechargeable battery.
lol Aidan knows. This literally would have been my answer. It was a great set nothing wrong with it but it’s just not where I wanna go in the hobby and I jumped the gun on it
Why don't you buy used cars in really good shape at a lesser cost? Of the ones you showed, probably the J D was my favorite even though I'm not a J D tractor fan. Not familiar with the daylight. Do the street tires actually come down and raise the car off the rail wheels?
Ray...you have a terrific roster and a great layout. Do you use your CW80 on your LionChief and Legacy engines by itself or in addition with your phone app ? Thanks 👍
Thanks Jim. Yes my CW80 is enough to power my layout and I just use my phone to run the engines works quite well. However I am excited for the base 3 to run my TMCC engines because those are a pain right now compared to the legacy/ LionChief

Congratulations Ray. Great video and a nice layout and collection. "God Bless and Happy Rails. GMan
Impressive collection for one year Ray. How time flies by. Great video as usual. Happy anniversary. 🎉😀🇬🇧

Thanks for sharing now I don’t feel so bad about my collection I thought I had a problem for a second
I think your enthusiasm for the hobby is inspiring to a lot of folks. Keep it up!
Thanks Chris appreciate you
Model trains are a great hobby. It also can cost a lot of money. I got back in the hobby for my grandson about 11 years ago.
Very nice collection. We love our potter lionchief,....our only lionchief. It our cheapest set but one that so much fun. We added a 2nd dementtor car, $70 cleance item from trainworld. Gary
Thank you Gary! Love watching you guys

We are big cnj and nj transit fans, check us out and throw some comments our way. We live along the nj northeast corridor. Gary
Its quite a cool hobbie for sure, nice job
Great video Ray didn't realize you had so much in your roster you have some great engines great job look forward to part two
Nice job on all! The use of reverb is under utilized by most. But it can add a great deal to the sound experience. Nice job!
Well done part 1. I'm looking forward to part 2. Yep, the camel back looks really sweet❤
Thanks Jeremy !!

Thank you James I love that we basically started in this together !
YEA I KNOW. YOUR VIDEOS WERE THE FIRST ONES I WATCHED. THAT'S WHY I HAVE THE JOHN DEERE SET AND 5 CP SD90MACS. 😁😁@@RaysTrains
Happy anniversary Ray! Great to see you the recap. Keep 'em coming. 🚆
Thanks David !
Great video Ray. You’ve built up a really nice collection. I’m happy we’ve met and I hope we get to hang out again soon. Looking forward to part 2.
Great job ray👍👍😘👍
Hi Ray wow you have a great collection for only being in the hobby for 1 year
Awesome video 📹 👍🏻💫💫💫💫💫
Great video Ray,great story I also started with lioncheif ,similar to your story,I only been in hobby couple years myself don’t take long to empty the wallet in this hobby, love the hobby tho and wouldn’t change a thing love your the folks you meet , great collection of locomotives love the Csx especially 👍 neat track molbile taper is awesome 👍 great video Thanks for sharing

Great video Ray! I honestly forgot you had some of that stuff lol.
Nice arsenal
Great collection, impressive!
Different Engines Different Combo’s of rolling Stock per Engine.

If it ain’t red leave it in the shed !!
If you like the red tractors, Lionel made a Farmall set #6-21795

Great Video and Roster!
Could use this one for a drinking game. Take a swig every time Grzybowski's is mentioned.
So what made you decide to walk into Joes and pick out a train in the first place? Did you see a train layout somewhere that inspired you?
Good question so it was other UA-camrs. I’ve been watching Eric’s trains from the beginning. Then in 2022 I started watching others like the 2 Chris’s. It got to a point where I was tired of watching everyone else have all the fun and I wanted to join in!!

That’s actually a great idea. Bluenami wluld be the ultimate end for this gutted engine

I love the CP Veterans SD90, I have the green one. Is there anything that you purchased in the last year that you wish you wouldn’t have?
I think the answer for that would be the 1987 Conrail set
lol Aidan knows.
They do Jim it can drive around on the asphalt it’s pretty cool
Nice collection you built up.🙂
Thanks Tim

I think I saw you there the one day I was with my mom
I still hate how lazy they were with the cp mil tribute. Like they could have atleast tried to make it the right locomotive
Do you go to gryzbowskis in Moosic pa
I do I’m there quite a bit
