Good day to you! I am a senior rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. I am enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
Nice Trev. Fascinating story regarding the oil cannisters. Brilliant to have your great grandfather's one, a link to the past. Nice work on the kit, simple and effective. Cheers Trev
Cool kit! I've been telling myself to make a leather roll like this for ages but I'm too lazy. So I end up with a stone here, a file there, another stone there...love those little oil cans, and cool history too. Cheers for the vid!
Good video Trevor 😁 put a bit of newspaper in the kit and put over the strop and use that for a final strop..the ink on the newspaper is one of the smoothest abrasives you can use 😉all the best Lincoln 👍🤙
You could also think about gluing some fine grit sandpaper to the back of the strop to refine a secondary before stropping. Can always swap it out when it gets too slick, but 320 should last you awhile for honing. Might try something similar myself. Just a thought.
Great idea! Interesting history on the brass oil cans. Your custom made one looks very nicely made.
Thanks Brett!

Fantastic, Honda make the best bikes in my opinion. I have an XR400 that is a beauty. Thanks for watching!

Thanks Chris it was a fun little project.
Brilliant ideas! I love the brass tubes for oil! 😁👍
I like that bigger stone. Didn’t know they made larger ones. Cool tool roll you got there. Cheers.
Great idea and much more practical than carrying full sized files etc. Now if I could only learn to sharpen with a damn.
Thanks Joey, I know what you mean, sharpening takes so much practice!
that MK2 oil bottle is pretty neat.
Thanks.

Thanks mate, you should definitely make one. I’m sure your version would be a work of art!
@@bundufundi haha cheers, might make a cool project over Xmas break!

@@axemanmike4390 Hey congratulations! Almost the same as my dad. You’re in good company!
Brass oil canister v cool. 👍
Thanks!
Another idea: maybe use the INSIDE or SUEDE side of the roll, with some compound, for stropping! 👌
That’s a great idea, thanks Mike!
