Man I love to hear these monsters run. I know automatics are dominate now I build them for a living. But the price of any ticket where these guys run is worth it. Never get tired of watching stick cars run.
Anyone out there remember a 66 SS Chevelle named the Warlord? It raced at St Genevieve and Wentzville in Missouri and Alton, Illinois. I remember this weekend warrior putting a whole lot of Hemis on the trailer. It had a .30 over L88, M22 Muncie, and 5:38s. Them were the good old days. Car was owned and driven by Larry Probst from Festus, Missouri.
it's not the same car , But it's a 66 Chevelle SS with a small block 327 ,Forged steel Vette crank , in a 4 bolt main block , Forged 12 :1 pistons, 450hp , 11 inch clutch , Lakewood Blow Proof bell housing , M-21 Muncie 4 speed , 12 bolt posi, Revs to the moon , 11,000rpm before the valves start to float , pulls both front tires off the ground , 11.5 sec @127mph in the 1/4 mile
Epic car.. I have a white 74 nova... just wondering what manual ur running? I bought mine and it has a 3 spd.. is that a stock trans do u know for that yr or special order?
joe mclaughlin bet you don’t remember me, but I met you at commerce, matter of fact the last time I’ve seen you was back in the 90’s when you made your 1st 9 second pass
Alway's listen and count the rowing or time's a race car shift's, because a four speed shift's three time's in a quartermile he's already in 1st gear anyway and can't shift 1st you just leave in fist and count 2nd 3rg etc, and a 5 speed shift's four time's like this nova beside's the dudes saying its a 5 speed anyway?
The biggest waste of ever bodys time in DRAG racing no ET !!! its not the Drivers falt !!! iam sure it went maby 9:90 ET i would never race my car with out ET !!!! My street car Gasser 56 chevy was Running 11:01s
Awesome!!! There's nothing better then watching a stick shift launch! Beautiful car.

Auto's dominate because of price, not speed. They are easier and cheaper.
KIck-ass car man! Love a stick car for the skill required. Thanks for posting!

Got to see this car yesterday at bmsp loved it spoke with the man a little nice guy and dude can drive
Ive seen this car also at O.C.Dragway in Indiana. I believe its Al Simeri drving it. What a nice job on the setup.
Maaan he was shifting just like a automatic !I love how fast he grabbed second gear to gain midrange only a pro can time that!!!
NO! HE WAS SHIFTING FASTER THAN ANY AUTO. Stick drivers have skill. Anyone can floor a car.
355 , 23 degree Brodix Track 1s , Nash 5 speed with a 9.53 run
you have built and tweaked a beautiful beast! 2 of my favorite things of all time- old school Novas & grabbin gears. Thank you for the video and info.
What cam specs
WOW!! That dude can shift!
Awesome Nova, and you can’t go wrong with a stick behind a high winding small block.
It was so good driving my brother

Always run a 15# flywheel. Helps save drivetrain. If you aint got power it still helps
I knew a few acers who ran 50# flywheels to maintain inertia in the crank from the launch.
the only thing missing....an in car camera :-(
Great to listen to through headphones.
Gotta love the fisheye run. Car gets taller then shorter all the way. Bad ass car though through the entirety of this video👍🏻👍🏻
Salut my friend super car super video subscribe subscribe..
This is one super built machine!!! First class all the way!!! I would like to know the cam timing
Fuck yeah! 🤘🏻
I like the Ford Fairlanes with the SOHC 427 and a 4 on the floor, :D.
Just gotta say that watching this stick shift Nova is super cool. Makes a certain part of my 65 year old anatomy very hard. LOL.
I love that sound when he bangs the gears 1st to 2nd 2nd to 3rd
The is grassroots racing. Awesome
Nothing like grabbing that gear on your own!!!!!
What are you guys using for a clutch?. Nice vid.
Beautiful
I recently swapped to an automatic due to a bad knee, man I miss ripping through the gears.
LOL
Fooled by the tag. I have family in NY , I'm from PA. The track is in Reynolds Ga. South of Atlanta
