A hummingbird would be cool! Like using a smaller doll build with the bright vibrant colors that would be so cool. Theres also so many types of hummingbirds with different accents like fancy tails like spatuletails or the like.. iridescent-ness of their feathers

Maybe the weird arms can be part of her lore? Prostetics are usually made to look like the skin tone of the original limb right? I think an amputee doll would be cool (for another doll that comes missing a limb or two).

I feel like this doll is a redemption Nova. They have very similar color schemes, you see? She's just gorgeous, and I love that you explore different styles through dolls just based on what you have on hand. As for the next stock box... how about a minotaur? Coming back to this gorgeous doll a year later, I have to admit to being somewhat sad that she never got a unique name like most of your customizations. She's so colorful and distinctive that it feels like she deserves one, you know? I keep wanting to call her Luminesa, because she's a bio-luminescent deep sea creature.

Ooh! The idea of turtle/tortoise came to mind too for me. I imagined a sorta old, wise grandma(?), mythical, nature-ey character. The old part because turtles have been around for a very very long time, and can live for a long time as well lol. I don’t think Katherine has ever done an old character with wrinkles and all, so that could be something new for her to try! Or maybe giving a doll wrinkles isn’t entirely possible because I’ve never seen it lol.

I think you got my old sirena von boo doll. I sadly had to abandon all my dolls when I moved houses five years ago. She looked exactly as mine did. If it's true thank you for giving her a better life. It makes me feel better to know that she didn't end up in a landfill. Hopefully everyone watches your videos has had a doll that you probably got and gave new life. You are amazing and I love your work! Hopefully you have a good day/night and hopefully you are getting enough rest cause of the baby.

As for the next animal, I'd love to see your take on:
-Siberian tiger! Fluffy and winter-themed, definitely seeing hand warmers and luxurious coats in my mind.
-Sphinx! The transition from lion to humanoid would be super interesting. Plus, some Sphinxes have wings!
-Kirin! There's a ton of different designs for them, the mix of scales, fur, horse-like, dragon-like, and deer-like traits would be a fun challenge.
-Any type of bird! I'd love to see your take on articulated wing-arms, making use of things like sculpted feathers? Like the wing-hands that people draw cartoon birds with.

I love the bird idea so much! The idea of feather hands makes me think of a book called “Snow,” by Tracy Lynn (which isn’t a book that many people I’ve spoken to have heard of). But there are some bird people (or was it just one?) in it that I think have feathers on their arms/hands.

As a snake lover and owner I’d have to suggest a snake!! There’s ton of varieties of snakes out there all with interesting patterns and color schemes.
Snakes are also popular in mythological terms with countless snake based monsters like Medusa and Jörmungandr to name a couple.
It’d also be fun to experiment with a lack of limbs (even thought you could totally still make a snake character with limbs, like Medusa).

Yeah, reptiles gives her a lot to work with! Snakes are thin and sleek while crocs (and even dinosaurs though I'm pretty sure they are more related to birds) are more stocky which would be interesting to see from her

One of the things I love about Dollightfull is that she always cites her sources. Whether it's an inspiration from Instagram, the tutorial where she learned her solution or whatever else, it's just nice that she gives credit to the community and resources for us.

The idea of a mermaid who goes to music festivals (and raves it feels like, with that hair) is such a great concept since mermaids are so traditionally associated with music. This is just a fantastic character idea and it's incredible to me that you went in without it fully concepted from the start and it still came out so strong. She's wonderful!

Also, i think painting the body twice actually played into your favor. After the second coat the colors looked much cleaner and brighter
Also, to quickly throw in my animal suggestion: how about a griffon? It would definitely be a doll that would require more modifications and extra sculpting, but I'd be curious to see how Katherine would pull it off if this idea was chose, especially since griffons are quadrupeds. Maybe it could be a masculine or androgynous doll? Idk, we'll just have to see :)

I loved the doll repaint and I’ve actually seen that hair style in my culture (Mexican/azteca) where, specifically on the day of the day or día de independencia, we braid colorful stands of fabric or other material into our hair. It’s really cute and creative to see how other people have incorporated this into music and western art. It really pretty :)

For fantasy creatures, a phoenix sounds cool and would probably have a very warm color palette depending on the direction you went with it, and I think that would look nice. Or you can make a cute little ferret or weasel possibly with pretty pastel colors or a more serious and naturally colored wolf, which can have fur and would be very beautiful in my opinion, maybe it could be a companion of some type for the deer you made (I can't remember her name, sorry!).

Not only that, but there are just as many different beak types as there are different shaped horns and just as many feather textures as there are hair textures!
It's like uncharted territory that definitely may pose a challenge, but will open up a whole new way to custom dolls!

Dollmotion does some bird-based dolls, if you haven't seen her videos you might like that. Her Winter Owl Hendry has feather hair and a beak.
It might just be me... but I want a Snail doll! It's something creative and unique, plus Snails are so fascinating (to me).
Also (just a suggestion) but I've been craving another Steampunk doll! Anything with the tiny gears, or a metallic palette! So, a factory-made animal could be cool!
P.S: The doll was so beautiful! Totally that creature that lurks down in the abyss that is the ocean, but also knows how to throw a killer party!!

I think my favorite part is how complimentary the two female mermaid dolls you have are. This one is definitely a deep sea rave mermaid and the other is a coral reef type of gal. Its really awesome how much they lend to the imagination when paired together.
I was just thinking that both looked like festival girls, it's just that the older one is more "Classic Woodstock" while the newer one is more "Coachella Night-Life." I could totally see the coral reef-themed mermaid in some rose-colored glasses and faux buckskin. They definitely look like a series!

They have such different main color pallets but then they share that minty blue color and it somehow ties them together like they are best friends in a tween girls animated TV show.

The animal that comes to mind for me is a fox, specifically a 'cross fox', which is a type of melanistic red fox that has a very striking color palette that I think you could have some fun with. Either that, or something like a pleco, because that would be amazing.

WARNING. DOLLIGHTFUL I do love it but PLEASE study a star fish's Anatomy! You HAVE to know where the mouth is, this is a common mistake with all types of people, animators, artists, doll makers, Disney studios, and even just the average little kid! And yes, starfish do have mouths (it is also disturbingly the "disposal of waste" if you know what I mean) please make sure to not make this common mistake again!
I'd love to see a humming bird doll, I really want to make one myself but I'm still terrified of all the fethers in that situation. It would be interesting to see what you do with the concept

Space dolls seem to be a bit out of her design area since she usually likes to create more classic clothes that lean into that over the top Anime Fantasy aesthetic while Space and “Future” designs focus more on being modern and sleek
Corvids are my favourite species of birds, (crows in particular) and I'd love to see a magpie doll! they are high contrast like this doll, with black, white, greens, blues and purples. I feel a darker doll would really add to the current line up of so far, really pretty pastel-ish dolls. also it might be cool to use multi-chrome micro glitters to achieve the iridescent look of their feathers, and because crows and magpies really like shiny things and collecting fun objects, it might give you an opportunity to use some fun little doo-dads you have around your workshop!

The mint color, sequin eyes and the glow-in-the-dark hair makes her look Bioluminesent, which works wonderfully for a Deep Sea Merfolk. Out of all your Stock Box dolls, this one is by far my favorite. Oh... if don't plan to keep Sirena as a name... maybe Calvaria (half of the scientific name for a purple coral) could work? Just a small suggestion since I noticed you rename all your dolls.
As for the next Stock Box suggestion, I noticed you don't have any Amphibian Dolls. So maybe something like a Newt or Salamander would be fun?

A peacock, it can make a beautifully dramatic doll, and I’m pretty sure none of us will care if you give a girl the pretty feathers. There’s also the option of albino peacocks, and those are usually female and gorgeous!!

An animal with distinct facial markings, such as a panda, raccoon, or cheetah, would make for a great stock box! It’d be interesting how you interpret those markings. Plus, for panda or cheetah at least, you can get influence from the cultures of people who live in their habitats

Okay guys hear me out.. We've gotten several mammalian dolls already, I'd personally really love to see another invert/insect based doll like the moth girl from earlier this year.. In my opinion a Bumble Bee doll would be really cute, but for a potentially very striking doll, basing it off of one of the many super colorful Tarantulas would be so fun. If you like animal crossing the Tarantula in the game is the Brachypelma Hamorii or the Brachypelma Smithi, but if you've never seen a Poecilotheria before they are in my opinion some of the most beautiful and striking spiders, and even their body shape has a really sleek and fuzzy appearance that could make for some great shape language in the doll's design. Some of the ones with really brilliant coloration are:

P. Vitatta
But some other incredibly colorful, striking, and high contrast Tarantulas are:

As a reptile lover, I would love to see yojr take on a type of reptile! Tokay geckos honestly look like they came straight out of pokemon, red sided garter snakes are absoltely beautiful, and theres so many different morphs and color variations among commonly kept species too! Ball pythons, leopard geckos, crested geckos, etc. They all have so many cool color types, lots of spots and sonetimes even stripes! Not even to mention their eyes, which are so cool. Also, chamelons, maybe you could find paint or sonething that changes color from heat or uv light? And the eyes? That'd be really cool.
YESS I recommended a LOT of snake species for a naga type of doll, I'd LOVE to see reptiles get a little more love!

Because we have a moth, a fish, a deer, and a unicorn, I feel like a lizard character would be cool to round out the kingdom! Maybe this is edging too much into dragon territory but a crocodile or alligator could be really cool! I also saw someone suggest an axolotl character, which would be super cute and give you an excuse to work with more pink! Though a pink croc or alligator would be adorable too.
Also I really hope to see more bold and bright faces in the future! Because there’s so many extra details on this doll in her hair and accessories, all the extra scales on her face/horns with the sequin eyes ended up being the perfect amount of extra. You did a great job! I can imagine this girl and Guinivere going to a music festival together ^^!

I would love to see a gryffin, angel, or chimera inspired dolls on the stock box for such a season. Also, love the deep sea look this doll ended up with. I could imagine her hanging out with angler fish or squid in the deeper tides.
my votes on dragon or maybe a humanoid dove. someone who'd either be optimistic and excited to try to do EvErYtHiNg even though it usually doesnt go well. i'd also like to see a motherly goddess type of character. someone elegant, wise, and gentle but will smack sense into someone when theyre acting like a twat.
