You, rv2, hot sauce, and the others need to make a all stars 250 sx class before the night show. That would be amazing for the sport I think
And even if not, it's wild to think that a bike that old would be putting a damn near identical time down with your 450. That's why I still ride a Honda CR250. Not only is it still extremely relevant for a 250, but it's fun and much cheaper and easier to maintain. I can only speak from my experience but, in my experience it makes more sense for an average Joe to ride an older 2 stroke instead of trying to buy a newer ( all be it used) 4-stroke, and have to fix that. I'll go for the two stroke every time, until I can afford a brand new bike. Until then it just doesn't make any sense for me. And in the meantime, I'm still smiling from ear-to-ear while I'm riding because two strokes are tons of fun. Hell, even if I could afford a brand new 450 I would probably still keep my CR250. Because honestly, I don't want to get rid of it

@@Rubbinz24 I totally understand. I just wish they made it more clear that they were SPONSORED and a lot of this stuff is free for them the only thing that I think that they pay for is the bike and if I knew I could pay $5,000 for a bike and get 20,000 in free upgrades, I would be doing it every other week.
@@Rubbinz24 that would mean I could sell the bike for 10 grand every single time and just buy bike, after bike, after bike, and just keep collecting money without ever wondering about having to purchase a bike again. Essentially, after the first rebuild or two, every bike I owned from then on out would be free, just because of all the upgrades, the condition of the bike, and the work I did

Nothing beats the sound of a 2stroke on the Track, Especially Through the Whoop Section. I had a 2002 CR 250 and the Lectron was without a doubt the best money I ever spent on the bike.
Smart carb would make you even more happy !

I have one on my 19’ Ktm 300xc, which ran like crap off the showroom floor. Lectron cleared it right up without any adjustments. But after richening it up on metering rod and power jet boy did the power come on. Don’t be afraid to test a 1/4 turn at a time either way, you can always go back to stock settings.
Robert Walden I didn’t have the new H series, but I did have the last gen lectron on my 2019 ktm 300xc and I hated it could never get it perfect ha so bought a keihin with jd jet kit perfectly tuned and it’s way better than the lectron. Way more bottom end now that I was chasing with the lectron pull 3rd every where
Kirk Richter Maybe you had the wrong metering rod to start with. But there’s lots of other variables.
Hey Cole, just to let you know, you actually beat you 450s time. Go back and watch the video. At 11:38, is when you start your lap, you actually finished the lap at 12:38 seconds, so that is literally a one minute flat lap.(assuming this time actually corresponds with your real life time) And that's on a two stroke with Supercross suspension and a lectron carburetor. Imagine if you use a 2001 Honda CR250.?. The bike you used is a good bike but in 2001 it made much more power. That's why people love the bikes from 97 to 2001. In 2001, the bike actually made a lot more power than in 2002... just food for thought that's all. Lol Anyway great video man and just to let you know. You actually did throw down a 1-minute even lap from 11:38 to 12:38 in this video

Cole , I have tried quite a few setups on my RM250 and my newer TC250 , and the best , most powerful setup I ever used was the PWK38 along with the STIC metering block. On the TC250 it made it way to strong for what I liked and I removed it. On my TC 125 , the same setup made my 125 feel like I just got it back from PC. It is hands down the most powerful carb mod I've ever done.
Ultimate carb for trail riding too!! Essential for a older 2-stoke in the mountains and tight single track.
Do you have any issues with the carb going too lean?

MX Racer I’ve never had mine go lean but the float was a little bit sticky and there was some kind of dust in the bowl when I got it so if you do get one I’d clean it out before you run it

We kept telling ya to run a Smart carb or Lectron for STR8 but those Honda boys convinced you on the Keihin. A lot of it is what your familiar with, not necessarily what works best. Now you got the best, super easy to tune too isn’t it! Thanks for the content! Hope to see you at a few races!

I bought a 02 Honda cr250. Was wondering about the Lectron. But the Keihin pwk is half the price. And later I could put the STIC in it . Which I've heard is the best setup to date.decisions, decisions.
That 2 stroke is insane, so damn crisp. You got faster and faster every lap. Even retired you'd be top 5 in the Supercross series, guaranteed!

Dam, that bike sounds good. Probably the best that motor every ran. The Lectron carb defined with it. Runs clean and reliable as EFI.
Dude is it me or does the 2 stroke look super snappy..its just got so much torque, not t ok mention cole is so damn fast ..holy shit he can fly on a supercross track

I rode a cr250 with a lectron and was not impressed. It's hard to beat a well jetted keihin carb on the yz250s.
