      It's amusing how unsophisticated people think that paying money to a temple will rid themselves of spirits, religion's the biggest scam ever just recently overtaken by the notion that carbon taxes are magically going to alter the cycle of climate change!

    About the lad in story number two. That the lady said she wanted to eat a bowl of noodles clearly means she is hungry. Then you take her away and start drinking. Instead of letting her eat first. Drinking on an empty stomach makes the body feel bad. So does the mind. What she then remembers is that she feels sick because of you.

    My guess for the 2nd story:
    Don’t forget that for the bar girl it was just another day at the office… She was probably a bit drunk and as she had asked for a double barfine(first time ever I’ve heard this…) she just mixed up and thought the guy had already paid her 3,000.
    Why did she wanted to leave? Well, there is only one reason why a bar girl in pattaya would leave customer, the reason is that she has a better customer. Probably another guy texted her and she left.

    I love your 30-40 minute video format. Keep it up the great work. It's really entertaining, and brings back memories of my time in Thailand.

    Hi Peter. I agree with what the other person(s) said. Until you start getting more stories again, just limit the video length to around 15 minutes or so. If you don't want to go through all of the trouble putting up your green screen, etc. for just 15 minutes, you could always record two, 15 minute segments. I mean, you might spend longer editing initially, but it would even out when you didn't need to edit the second week and could just upload the second segment that you worked on previously. I'll try to get out to Thailand sometime in 2024 and have a "story" moment that I can send you. :)~

    Last story: How do these guys meet a girl and back to hotel right after for aerobics??? It sounds crazy from a random dating app, and the second day "didn't need dinner", and then wants to go back to his hotel again for aerobics. Was this a set-up or was the girl trying to snag a foreign boyfriend??? It doesn't make sense. This is the complete opposite of how western women act. It could be several dinners and dates, many weeks later and won't even come over to your place for a completely innocent dinner and a movie hangout because "doesn't feel comfortable" or compares to some bad player who got his way years ago and doesn't want it to be another "low effort date with expectations to perform". Of course then it never goes anywhere but that's typical dating behaviour in the west and if you say anything you get called "defensive" or like you're not listening or caring about her "interests". Then as more dates happen western women become more distant and cold looking for more reasons to move on to the next guy or end the dates -- at no point do aerobics happen even a month later. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

    • @ThailandBound
      @ThailandBound  28 днів тому +1

      In Thailand, it’s not unusual for people to connect quickly and go back to a hotel, especially if there's a mutual attraction. It may seem crazy from a Western perspective, but dating culture can be quite different here. The girl might have been genuinely interested in him or just open to exploring a connection without the same level of caution often seen in the West.
      In many Western dating scenarios, it can take a lot longer to build trust, and there’s often more pressure on the relationship to develop slowly. This difference in approach can sometimes lead to misunderstandings. It’s important to recognize that cultural norms vary widely, and what might seem strange in one context could be perfectly normal in another.

    Hi Peter. Just relaxing by a pool here in Bangkok and listened to this weeks stories - I had not heard these before and enjoyed them all. The first one did seem a little far fetched but you never know! I had to chuckle to myself though regarding the guy asking the other about his sore backside - hmmm !! Anyway, wishing you and each and every one of your subscribers a very Happy Christmas. As always, cheers 🍻

    Just back from Bangkok, first time since covid-19. Fantastic as always. I felt things were a bit more expensive, but then again they probably are everywhere. Also, exchange rate was against me, Japanese Yen at 4.2 to the Baht versus 3-ish for many years. Won't put me off going back though!

    My interest is more for the Philippines instead of Thailand as my wife is Filipina. But I must admit, your stories are captivating ! I've had a lot of pleasure listening too many of your videos over the past few days. Many instances I feel very sorry for the guys in the stories. And some I don't have any sympathy at all for because they should have had better sense LOL. And some, the scams could happen even to the best of us. Overall, it's been very entertaining and your a great story teller even tho your just sitting there reading 😂. You're still very good at it regardless !

      I would say if you put a gogo dancer pedestal so high, you can't reach her anymore, she will get bored.
      Simpish guys will get eaten alive. Those ladies don't like your fancy restaurants, but noodle soup and whisky. If they get moody, just get rid of them and grow a spine.

  • @stevensee82
    @stevensee82 9 місяців тому +1

    Please tell everyone, the bar ladies need the money more than you and me.
    Please pay them: he could have return the 3000 baht to her instead of taking it. He knew where she work. sad to hear this.
    It's like stealing from a beggar if we don't pay them and worse, take their money. What kind of person is that ?
