After leaving the nightclub, Terry is challenged by a mysterious fighter. This fighter turns out to be Andy, Terry’s little brother, who he has not seen in 10 years. In order to take revenge on Geese for what he did to their father, Jeff, they team up with Joe to infiltrate Geese Tower.

Kyo looks so composed here, I can't imagine him meditating and behaving like a leader.

Although the faces sometimes feel off (uncanny valley effect), the dynamic camera angles, tasteful special effects, energetic fight choreography, offbeat humor, and hearty voice acting more than make up for it. Thanks so much SNK! This should be on Netflix. XD

The plot is an Origin of the KOF tournament w/ an Amalgam of Fatal Fury 1 & Art of Fighting 1 plots. I like how it's mainstream into 1 big story build up. Thank you, SNK, for respecting the original source materials to make an epic series like this & for FREE too. Much love.

Kind of rare to see Kyo mediate, though I can guess that it was essential for his senses, but his deviation abilities sense Orochi's revival kind of starts off something worse. Also Kyo and Terry passed by each other again with a missed opportunity to formally meet. I can guess that the series follows the Fatal Fury plus the first saga of King of Fighters.
Liked the animation more and add in the comedic moments; Joe eating food in the serious times, Benimaru being a weak drinker. Just hope that the studio animate the NESTS and Ash Crimson saga if this becomes popular.
They seem to be really building up Kyo and Terry's confrontation.
Animating the NESTS Saga would be a pain in the ass tho considering it's a lot more characters. Also, this one isn't following the game entirely, sure, it still takes element from the original source but you can tell they've to mix up and leave certain stuff out, thus, creating more freedom to do their own things. Also, from what i see, this series won't go to extreme detail like a real KOF adaptation for every characters and just go with the flow on the surface so at best, we'll probably see season 2/3 to cover and conclude the Orochi saga.
KYO is mostly like KOF's Yusuke from YuYuHakusho as he learned how to meditate forhis inner force and train to feel spiritual things, i like it XD
the plot of the game itself at this point is a mess, as adult Ryo was already there when Jeff was killed and stuff like that, also it was simplistic and with not much background. At least they're tryiny to fix the canon with this adaptation.
Dan Hyang I also agree with that, though I would like to see how the studio presents one of the most important saga (NESTS Saga) with a different protagonist and occurring in the present era instead of 2000, in which now technology was more advanced.

about the next one, it seems that most of it is narrated by Geese and has a sketch like style.

if you pay attention, you can see some animation improvements which confirns some if my suspicion that the series will improve as it goes on. Other than that this is my favorite episode so far

I've seen Episode 5 in Japanese with Chinese subtitles. It tells Geese's origin story. Now I'm looking forward to Episode 6 as the previews of that episode shows Kyo telling his father on the phone that he sensed Orochi's presence in South Town and that the seals could be weakening, and also the introduction of the Women Fighters team - King, Mai and Yuri.
Wander how the show gonna transition from Geese to Rugal
Mikuru Sunny they have to be creative at that although at least as of this time structurally Rugal is a bigger threat than Geese, they have to present it in a way that doesn't make Geese look weak because he is the Franchise SNK Boss while Rugal the Franchise KOF (as a title NOT in-universe) Boss so they can't afford making him look weaker than Geese as well, plus the prospect of Kyo vs Geese as a final battle would be beyond stupid since Geese is Terry's nemesis.
Probably the Bogard s revenge plot will end around episode 12, then the tournament will begin and at the end we ll have the fight with Rugal
OK, BUT... is that really true? Rugal tried to manipulate the Orochi power but did it without thinking, witch led to his incapability of controlling it. Geese was much smarter than that, when he sensed that the power could not be controlled he stopped. True, for a moment, thanks to the Orochi power, Rugal was the strongest, but a second latter he was destroyed by the same power. Geese s power is achieved by training and native force. So, in the end, between the two, Geese is the strongest.
Ionutz Fulger We still don't know if Geese will be able to control it. He just standed there, Rugal could have done the same, it's when he is pushed to the limit when he stops being in control of the Orochi power. I saw in episode 2 Gesse receiving a call from R and I think is Rugal and he is "sharing" the Orochi power so he can test it's effects on Geese first.
But then again... Geese package is supposed to be the Black Crystals (which I suppose is Orochi related) and he is shown with a serpent already before opening the package. Mature could have obtained the crystals for Rugal or even for Goenitz, or even for the two of them. Maybe she delivery delivered part of the crystals to her boss and the other one to Geese somehow but I still don't know about that. We just have to wait obviously.

When they were fighting Billy, I also noticed his London March theme, followed by the theme of GESSSE!

It's interesting how a lot of the characters have stubble and body hair in this animation based off of a fighting game. I see that no one wants a beard what so ever though.

Kyo still feels off especially with the meditation but still and overall fun episode, curious to see what they're doing with Geese who seems to be possessed by Orochi somehow? I like how it altered his personality as well where Geese is usually nice to his subordinates but this time he ridicules Billy (can't blame him after seeing that terrible haircut). Plus can't wait to see more Ikari Warriors.

Andy Bogard was suppose to be the more serious one. They have made a complete joke out of a really good character. In general i am an Andy Bogard fan as i think he has a better set of moves then Terry and he has got "the Girl" as well.
Ali Asad Andy is a hot head more driven by emotion terry only lives to fight not as driven by emotion the reason tung fu rue chose terry as his true successor rather than andy
When I saw Clark Still I was Surprised to see him because I didn't even know he was in this at all I recognize him from that king of fighters all star game I have on my phone I'm not really a fan of him but he is cool I might start getting into him soon but I'm more of a Mai Shiranui fan though I love Mai I can't wait to see her in this series

Quite ironic how the KOF 96 theme of Ikari soldier's played when Andy has a little skirmish with Terry.
Hands down the best episode to date.
For those unfamiliar with the lore in the OG Fatal Fury games in the first one Andy did have the personality of a cocky hothead due to his single minded goal of taking down Geese unlike Terry whose personality was that of someone who was an easygoing carefree person who also possessed great wisdom and insight when it was needed. It wasn't until Geese's first defeat at the hands of Terry that Andy realized that being a cocky hothead actually made things worse and decided to head back to Japan to further his training and change his attitude and the second game is where we're first see Andy with the calm, cool, collected personality we associate with him.

Bceause the voice actor is the same they used on KOF XIV. The classic voice for Kyo was quite different. Maybe the guy is too old for the role of a young hothead like Kyo. I thought Billy was blonde.
Good episode, better than the last one. My FEEDBACK:
-The episodes must be longer. The story is not developing well in a so short time. That ending credits sequence is very long, the episode itself is about 10 minutes.
-As far I know, Billy Kane was blonde. I think he's never appears without that bandana in the games, but in official illustrations, he was blonde. Be careful with this, SNK!
-I found the animation was better, the fight against Billy Kane was great.
Certainly I'll be here for the next episode, but please, improve this series for good!

+Steel Phoenix another day wasn't meant to be an official anime it was made to promote kof mi 2 and that was it.
+The Metalhero also billy's hair color has been changed many times, in this case they made it the same color and design as the fatal fury pachinko version
Despite the faces this is the best ep yet. Though that might be my bias towards to Fatal Fury cast and story over the KoF Orochi story and heroes.

It makes sense why the legendary Kong Kuwata voiced both Geese in FF/KOF and Genjuro in SamSho. Heck, Geese's voice in Destiny reminds me of Genjuro's. 😐

I have hard times watching this 3D animation . SNK worth almost 1B they could have made an anime series with different arcs and i’m sure with the original storyline it’ll be the best anime beyond Naruto .

They swap personalities in this series and I find it very annoying. Andy is too impatient, Terry is too calm, Kyo is too cool head and Robert is dump as f*ck! Really, Robert is way too cool for those scenes to happen, he's like King of Fighter's Ken but way more stylish.

victor behm bayer it won't as it skipped the Art of Fighting saga which pre-dates Fatal Fury. KOF has always had a jumbled up timeline for some reason but the most important parts (Terry and Geese, Kyo and Iori) will be told at least.
+Jamal Lewis KOF is an alternate universe to the fatal fury timeline. Snk stated so later on after basically confirming that kof is it's own thing that doesn't follow the fatal fury timeline

Original kof was hosted by gesse not rugal and he survived despite getting tossed ,
Wolfgang Kruser is alive in kof where as in ff he committed suicide
This animation is a modern setting reboot of the franchise, based by the first few games but with a few changes and was set in the modern era instead of the 90's from the original first games. The animation was based on the Orochi Saga of the games, with a few events of other connected games from SNK mixed in.
If this becomes popular, they should animate the NESTS and Ash Saga of the games to animation.

Well, the fight was not going to be only against Geese, but also Billy and a lot of the bodyguards. And they had a small taste of how much powerful Geese was. It was for the best back off now
Andy and Terry have pretty much switched personalities...Andy is more hot headed, while Terry is level headed.
