Really wish Maki comes back to life, what with Verse and all. Chizuru deserves some slack, for all she has gone through. And you know what? They could realistically do some interesting things with Jeff and Gaidel. Though I really doubt any of these three would come back.

KOF have been fairly not-as-known as the other fighting games, and if it was, it was known more for the gameplay and crazy combos and not the lore. There are also not many KOF lore related content on UA-cam (In English at least), but to see a really hilarious and really up-to-date and modernized take on the KOF lore so far (looking at the Among Us reference s in the 01 recap for example.), it really makes me happy as a guy who grew up with KOF even when no one else in my area really played or knew the series.
It's incredibly popular in many regions and literally the highest viewed fg tournament in the world is a KOF97 tourney, i don't understand why some people say it's not well known

I still don't understand why people kept believing the copyright issue was true. Like, SNK was still releasing ports of KOF 2002 on the PS3 and later on, on the Switch, with K9999 still playable. It wouldn't make sense if the copyright issue was present, but SNK didn't bother to change any aspect about it, to fit that reason.

One of the many things I love about KOF besides the roster and the Galactica Phantom is that the story is pretty consistent and easy to follow as opposed to many other fighting game franchises. It’s funny how team Psycho Soldier’s only significant contribution was to find the Kyo clone warehouse, despite being promoted as “important” for decades. Even Shingo is more significant to the story than the rest of the teams, even when he’s just “there”.

@@setsers1 It's not that it was *bad* per se (there weren't any major malfunctions in terms of gameplay), but it was literally incomplete: There were only 22 characters (less than the first game, which had 24 without counting the final boss), a lot of signature special moves were not included, and the arcade mode didn't even have a boss of any kind. KOF 12 was a beta for KOF 13 in the most literal sense imaginable, except that it was sold as if it was a complete game.
Noticed a certain amount of detail and care on the Ash saga part. You really like Ash and Elisabeth, their moments are super cute (specially since their saga was the most "emotional" one imo)
I dunno why but this animations reminds me a lot to really old UA-cam animations from 2008 or 2010, the style, the sound font, everything brings to my mind those old times, and I love it
