Looks a lot better now not having those arms/hands in the virtual ‘cockpit/pilots’ view 👍 I’ve been in X-Plane land the past couple months but will fire up MSFS this weekend and try your kites out. Thanks! 👍
I agree that removing the pilot in the cockpit view has been an improvement. You can still bring them back by putting the view in to FREELOOK mode by holding a mouse button down, using a game controller, or just toggling to that mode in the cockpit view mode dialog. Eventually, we should be able to just see our actual hands and arms in VR when flying, but until then, compromises and options.
Again a great video.Iám getting the hang for it (grin)Love this..Brings back me a lot of memory's when i was paragliding. So iám really happy with your work.In the video it shows a different glider i have dowloaded. Is this a new glider ans not available jet?
Yes. It is a custom glider. The Wills Wing Falcon 4. I am in the process of developing the infrastructure for developing custom gliders that can be flown and seen by others who do not own the same custom glider. Once I get that pretty good, I will be releasing custom gliders. They will be their own downloads and not part of the widget.
Just found your site and files. Amazingly great. Am in Oz, and noticed there's a lot of content covered here in your files. I can't seem to gain the Widget file/download? All links not working. File not found from your Onedrive etc.
Hello, I am struggling with footlaunch. Pressing G for landing gear or whatever key I have assigned to "toggle tail hook handle'" won't do anything. I can only fly the glider if it is already airborne , but can't take off from a particular site nor can I groundhandle. I have the widget and both hang glider models installed. Could you please help me with that ?
Sure! You have mentioned that you have the Widget installed (latest is 4.0.2.5 and has ground handling updates). 1. You need a key (or button) assigned to the GEAR UP event. This is called SETDOWN and will stabilize the glider on the ground. 2. You need a key (or button) assigned to the GEAR DOWN event. This is called PICKUP and will allow you to move the glider in any direction using the JOYSTICK (walk). It will also roll down a slope (walking launch) until it reaches airspeed and launches. 3. You can map a key (or button) assigned to TOGGLE TAIL HOOK HANDLE event. This is called the LAUNCH BUTTON. Pressing it ONCE = WIRE MAIN MODE. This will fix the glider in place but allow it to weathervane and "fly" in the wind while remaining stationary. Good for windy launches. Pressing it more than once = RUNNING. This accelerates the glider forward and will get you off of a windy launch or any launch fast. NOTE: Gliders come in 2 flavors. Full feature and stand alone. Only Full feature gliders can be foot launched as they require the widget. Stand alone gliders cannot be foot launched as they do not require the widget. These gliders can only be started in mid-air and are basically a way for someone to try flying a hang glider without doing any real effort. REMOVE THE STAND ALONE VERSION from the community folder and you will be able to use the full feature glider.
Perfect, just what I was looking for.

Sorry about that. I did not know the links were not working. Not sure what happened. All links on the web site have been refreshed.
