the concepts are kinda cool, i can see how maybe they could actually appear, if we ended up lets say, getting a platinum remake, and we would go so far back in time that we see the creation of the universe so that we can catch these three in this state would be pretty cool. however, i gotta say, palkia to me doesn't look "regional" enough because it actually just looks like a really good Redesign, i would prefer this palkia to be actual palkia, something about it looks more dynamic and cleaner with its design flow, obviously would give it back its pink coloration though, maybe that would be a cool new video series, just a flat out, legendary pokemon redesigns for a more modern or cleaner look lol

I think fairy/dragon(or fire/dragon if you wanna lean towards lightbringer)for giratina would be better since being a normal dragon when dialga and palkia is space and tim is kinda weird

Same. I think I'd be cool if different regions in the Pokemon world had different interpretations and descriptions of the legendaries, almost like regional forms and split beliefs of what the Pokemon actually look like when you encounter them in front of you.
Also, I would’ve given Palkia the Dark type, for dark matter, Dialga the Ice type, for reference to frozen time, and Giritina the Fairy type, bc it seems closer to an "angel type" which would allude to Lucifer’s previous role in heaven. Just my thoughts, but the ideas from HnH are still good!
The idea of Giratina being more “holy” before it was banished is interesting, almost suggesting that it was at one point closer to Arceus than the others or more “pure”, as they (in this at least) are barren and yet to fully shape, just like the universe itself, but Giratina, the Pokémon that embodies the emptiness is so much more vibrant than them and takes on an appearance more similar to Arceus than the others at the time with its golden rings and lighter color palette, maybe even suggesting that it does not simply want to overtake Arceus, but regain its former power.
I think all of these regional variants are very well designed and they fit well with the lore of the creation trio. My favorite regional variants are Dialga and Giritina. I love how Dialga regional variant represents Primal Dialga and its design representing darkness and regional variant has a light and angelic design based on how Giritina use to be good.

I think the regional variants are really cool. My favorite regional variant of the 3 has to be Palkia, surprisingly. Even though I'm a Dialga man, I like Palkia's regional variant you made of it.

Psychic is way more de-facto light type than fairy is. What type is solgaleo, god of the sun and day? PSYCHIC/steel. What type is Lunala, god of the moon and the night? PSYCHIC/ghost. What type is necrozma and ultra necrozma, god of light itself? PSYCHIC and PSYCHIC/dragon respectively.

Giratina being a holy dragon that fell from grace makes so much sense. Especially, when it literally rebel against actually pokemon God. I like it make when it relates to the theme Giratina being Lucifer in aspect.
If it's called it's "origin form" don't you think that invalidates your idea of a Giratina gaining ghost? Because to me 'origin' is like, the original, and it already has ghost in it's origin form.
I've had a theory for a long while that Giratina is actually the Pokemon of gravity instead of antimatter. Think about it, according to Einstein's theory of relativity, gravity warps and bends both space time, which is why black holes are such mind numbing entities of confusion, gravity also holds everything together, without it everything simply falls apart, and in my opinion without Giratina, sinnoh always felt like it was missing something. That's awesome makes sense because when you enter the distortion world, instead of instantly being destroyed by pure antimatter, you enter a universe without gravity or laws of physics. If giratina was really the antimatter pokemon, then you would instantly erased from just being close to it. And I believe that Arceus banished it's most likely oldest child, not because it was too violent, but because Giratina's power of gravity was for too much for Giratina to fully control. And because Giratina couldn't fully control the power of gravity, black holes started to spawn into the universe, on mass. Something which would have destroyed the entire universe and rended it all asunder. And so Arceus created an entire alternate universe without the concept of gravity, the perfect container For Giratina.
And I believe that this form of Giratina would have had a dragon psychic typing, or a dragon and rock or dragon and ground typing, but most likely dragon and ground, as gravity is literally what holds the ground together.
Side note: the black circles on Giratina's wings look like black holes, the golden yellow energy wings also compliment this idea, as it looks like The event horizon of a black hole.
I like how Giratina's regional form is also a reference to Lucifer once being an angel of God before he turned into Satan. I feel like it was intentional though :0
Regional Variants for Legendary Pokémon is one of the best thing Gamefreak has done, the Galarian Legendaru Birds are just friggin amazing and I'm praying they do more for other groups (nothing against the Paradox Beasts). Regional Giratina is my favorite out of these, given it's more celestial appearance, but Palkia looks smooth as heck and its fun you nodded to Primal Dialga for Regional Dialga. (My only nitpick is that I don't want regional variants for Legendaries that are one of a kind, like the Creation Trio).
I’m curious as to what you’ll do for the dragons of Unova. I feel that they should all keep their Dragon typings, but be based on different secondary typings. I would make Kyurem a Dragon/Psychic type in reference to the story that it came from a meteor that crashed and made the Giant Chasm, Zekrom would be a Dragon/Water type to symbolize the rain that comes with thunderstorms, and Reshiram would be a Dragon/Ground type to symbolize the parched earth that comes after wildfires and the move Scorching Sands
Warning: long analysis ahead. I will try to keep my criticisms constructive. Let's start with what's probably the weakest overall design, both in the original form and the variant form. Yeah, there's really not much you can do with Palkia. The canon design was already too top-heavy and said top half was shaped unnervingly like something that's hardly appropriate to describe here, and this particular variant basically looks like a recolor that made the magenta parts a darker purple. It improves literally nothing about the original lineart and keeps all of its flaws, and while I suppose the color scheme does better impart a sense of deep space than the original colors, the weird sort of lavender tint of the body somehow makes the color scheme feel almost worse than the original Palkia. And it doesn't even really look like an Ice/Dragon type. If I had to redesign this variant, I'd start by making the color scheme seem more fitting to its Ice type while still giving off a void-of-space effect. First off, the body color definitely has to give off more of an icy-blue tint than the sort of pinkish-lavender whatever-this-is. Once that's out of the way, I'd check to see how well the dark purple trim looks with the new color. If it works, it works; if it doesn't work, I'd probably adjust it a bit towards the navy blue side to try to keep it icy, or even just go all out and choose something closer to cyan or turquoise. I initially thought the Dialga variant was going to have the Fire type, since it looks kind of like parts of it are melting into lava, but your line of reasoning for the Dark type works quite well with all the elements involved, and is a really neat reference to Primal Dialga. While this variant is a solid design overall, my favorite part has got to be the floating tail bits, which not only look awesome, but also sell the concept of this being a newly minted Dialga that's still growing into its deific role. It would've been cool to see a similar technique imparted to Palkia's variant, perhaps around the wings? I know the wing shapes are slightly altered, but if you don't put the two designs side by side, you probably won't even notice the difference. I wouldn't alter much on this design -- maybe tweak the placement and pattern of the armor and the red markings to make it slightly less of a recolor, but the design stands enough on its own compared to its inspirations. While I can't speak for Game Freak on if they took any Western inspiration for Giratina's original design back in Gen 4, Legends Arceus pretty much confirmed that Game Freak was fully aware of the Western fandom's association between Giratina and the devil and decided to run with it. That being said, this design does literally everything that a non-fallen Giratina design needs to do. Golden wings, halos, a motif of seven rather than six... it's pretty much a perfect variant. Unfortunately, there is one fly in this ointment, and it's the typing. A being this magnificent deserves a Psychic/Dragon or Fairy/Dragon typing in keeping with its 'light' theme, but it got the Normal/Dragon type instead, which is honestly kind of boring. Personally, given that the Dialga variant is Dark/Dragon type, and this Giratina is based on a glorious archangel, I would have given this Giratina the Fairy/Dragon type to indicate that it is the highest over the Creation Trio... second only to Arceus, of course, which Giratina soon seeks to change.
@@thatonearanaraOriginal in the sense that they were known first to the public, that's the same thing with Giratina as well as we only got to see his Origin Form in Platinum, the only difference between Giratina and the other two is that it took 13 years for Dialga and Palkia to reveal their Origin Forms, but it's the same thing. Origin Forms are the actual original forms
Giratina should have been a Fairy/Dragon to symbolize the light...Which if you also looked into Fae lore you'd realize that the Fae have a rather dark story if you don't go for the children's version.

I maintain that, especially with all the lore we got about them. The Galarian legendary birds aren’t regional variants but are actually the first example we got of ecologically similar pokemon (Wiglett and Toadscool). Peony just named/categorized them incorrectly.

As good as these envisioned regional variants look, the one gripe I have is that they, especially in the case of Dialga and Palkia, look too similar to their modern forms (Primal Dialga is also an example of this because the only thing that changes about it is that the ultra light blue markings on it's body instead only glow red/orange/yellow. In the case of Primal Groudon/Kyogre, Groudon has an additional typing added, they physically grow bigger and more powerful and their appearance changes marginally enough to differentiate them from their regular forms). Giratina's new form I'm more okay with because, although you kept the serpentine aesthetic of it, there was just enough change to make that variant more believable. I'm confident that had we more backstory and lore on Dialga and Palkia, their forms would've been vastly different from what was given here. I'm aware that Dialga and Palkia were already given origin forms in L:A and that Giratina has it's altered form, because you eluded to the fact that these forms are supposed to be reminiscent of coming into being before their respective duty tie-ins (Dialga = god of time, etc etc), it would make more sense to canonically call them 'celestial' forms, or 'birth' (or 'REbirth' forms seeing as they have the ability to revert back to them at any given point (I'm sitting here editing this message as I look over it. to make it more cohesive, and the more I think about it, the more 'rebirth forms' sounds ever more cooler XD)) forms if you will. If we take time to closely examine REGIONAL forms, say from Alola, Galar, Hisuian, etc... We'll see that although the same Pokemon, they VASTLY differ from their original counterparts that we're more intimately familiar with, though if I had to say there was one exception, that would be Stunfisk, as it really only changes color and has a very SLIGHT change in appearance. This is apparent in slight physical and colour changes and also type changes. Lastly, I close out by apologizing. I am, for some reason, overly passionate about these kinds of things. I enjoyed the video none-the-less. Please keep up the good work =)
One of the concepts on which the Tao trio is based is that according to alchemy there are three elements that make up a living being, Reshiram the sulfur (soul), Zekrom the mercury (mind) and Kyurem the salt (body), if they obtain a regional form would they be something like soul = ghost, mind = psychic and body = fight?
alternate take on dialga and palkia regional forms: combine them, then make that combined form fire/dragon to signify the big bang. because as physicists have proven for decades now, space and time are not RELATIVE, they are the SAME THING, and while space is "cold" now, it wasn't at the creation of the universe. and if you still wanted to keep the individual personalities, give this form two heads, one being related to dialga, the other related to palkia.
I have an idea of an Unfallen Giratina, but I think Fairy/Dragon feels more appropriate. Arceus is Normal because Normal is the closest thing to being typeless/type-neutral outside of some very niche situations. And it reflects its ability to be different types...I mean, why else would something like Ditto be Normal type? What's normal about it at all?
Personally, I'd think of the creation trio's "regional variants" as the forms we originally found them in, with their origin formes being their true selves.
While cool, it was a missed opportunity to make Palkia blazing since the early universe was hot and condescend before it started its expansion to where we are today. Hot condescend gas, actually their was a period, well a short window where the universe was fairly evenly warm but while this was short it would’ve been perfect for a bunch of life. Not hating, but making Palkia cold was a missed opportunity to compare it to the actual early beginnings. I’m just surprised no one else has pointed it out.
I normally love the regional forms you pick, but today non of them was good and Dialga and palkia are nearly looking like their original form. Giratina was ok, but only ok. I hope, other designs in the Future Will Look better than these.
See it would’ve made sense to make palkia a psychic type . Reason why if it’s truly the made at the beginning of this primal time then it’s ability should be able reflect space . An early palkia could be struggling with the vastness of space. And with dialga not making it easier to understand due to time manipulation,then it could be at a point where it’s truly vulnerable. Essentially being a boat in a raging rapids until later on it’s able to flow with all the chaos of space without bother.
I just don't understand why dialga is a horse when palkia is a centar idk if anyone else can agree but an aquatic look could have worked. Giratina with the air palkia land and well time FLOWs.
fun fact: there is a fan made game (Pokemon Insurgence) where the lore of the creation event gets twisted Giratina created the universe, and Arceus overthrew it matter and antimatter are opposite but the same, and the distortion world was supposed to be the 'normal world'
I like the idea of dialga’s ability adding an extra turn where nothing happens, but effects still occur. For example if Dialga uses roar of time it would instantly recharge, if it used solar beam it would solar beam immediately, and if the opponent was poisoned it would deal damage twice.
Had the same thought, but added as an ability that effects both sides. Your allies no longer need a charge or recharge, but opponents side charge moves take two turn and recharge takes two turns instead of one.
I was expecting Palkia to be a Psychic Dragon since so many space-themed Pokemon are Psychic Type (Cosmog; Cosmoem; Solgaleo; Lunala; Necrozma; Elgyem; Beheeyem; Deoxys; etc.)

I would’ve given your Giratina Fairy/Dragon type Since Fairy is kind of de-facto light type now. But the fact that it’s normal type like Arceus does play into its Lucifer inspiration
Psychic is way more de-facto light type than fairy is. What type is solgaleo, god of the sun and day? PSYCHIC/steel. What type is Lunala, god of the moon and the night? PSYCHIC/ghost. What type is necrozma and ultra necrozma, god of light itself? PSYCHIC and PSYCHIC/dragon respectively.
Also maybe at 6:46 it can also represent before Lucifer got banished since he was still an Angel

I've had a theory for a long while that Giratina is actually the Pokemon of gravity instead of antimatter. Think about it, according to Einstein's theory of relativity, gravity warps and bends both space time, which is why black holes are such mind numbing entities of confusion, gravity also holds everything together, without it everything simply falls apart, and in my opinion without Giratina, sinnoh always felt like it was missing something.
That's awesome makes sense because when you enter the distortion world, instead of instantly being destroyed by pure antimatter, you enter a universe without gravity or laws of physics.
If giratina was really the antimatter pokemon, then you would instantly erased from just being close to it. And I believe that Arceus banished it's most likely oldest child, not because it was too violent, but because Giratina's power of gravity was for too much for Giratina to fully control.
And because Giratina couldn't fully control the power of gravity, black holes started to spawn into the universe, on mass. Something which would have destroyed the entire universe and rended it all asunder.
And so Arceus created an entire alternate universe without the concept of gravity, the perfect container For Giratina.
And I believe that this form of Giratina would have had a dragon psychic typing, or a dragon and rock or dragon and ground typing, but most likely dragon and ground, as gravity is literally what holds the ground together.
Side note: the black circles on Giratina's wings look like black holes, the golden yellow energy wings also compliment this idea, as it looks like The event horizon of a black hole.

Regional Variants for Legendary Pokémon is one of the best thing Gamefreak has done, the Galarian Legendaru Birds are just friggin amazing and I'm praying they do more for other groups (nothing against the Paradox Beasts). Regional Giratina is my favorite out of these, given it's more celestial appearance, but Palkia looks smooth as heck and its fun you nodded to Primal Dialga for Regional Dialga.
(My only nitpick is that I don't want regional variants for Legendaries that are one of a kind, like the Creation Trio).

I’m curious as to what you’ll do for the dragons of Unova. I feel that they should all keep their Dragon typings, but be based on different secondary typings. I would make Kyurem a Dragon/Psychic type in reference to the story that it came from a meteor that crashed and made the Giant Chasm, Zekrom would be a Dragon/Water type to symbolize the rain that comes with thunderstorms, and Reshiram would be a Dragon/Ground type to symbolize the parched earth that comes after wildfires and the move Scorching Sands

These three designs would go great in a legends game
Warning: long analysis ahead. I will try to keep my criticisms constructive.
Let's start with what's probably the weakest overall design, both in the original form and the variant form. Yeah, there's really not much you can do with Palkia. The canon design was already too top-heavy and said top half was shaped unnervingly like something that's hardly appropriate to describe here, and this particular variant basically looks like a recolor that made the magenta parts a darker purple. It improves literally nothing about the original lineart and keeps all of its flaws, and while I suppose the color scheme does better impart a sense of deep space than the original colors, the weird sort of lavender tint of the body somehow makes the color scheme feel almost worse than the original Palkia. And it doesn't even really look like an Ice/Dragon type.
If I had to redesign this variant, I'd start by making the color scheme seem more fitting to its Ice type while still giving off a void-of-space effect. First off, the body color definitely has to give off more of an icy-blue tint than the sort of pinkish-lavender whatever-this-is. Once that's out of the way, I'd check to see how well the dark purple trim looks with the new color. If it works, it works; if it doesn't work, I'd probably adjust it a bit towards the navy blue side to try to keep it icy, or even just go all out and choose something closer to cyan or turquoise.
I initially thought the Dialga variant was going to have the Fire type, since it looks kind of like parts of it are melting into lava, but your line of reasoning for the Dark type works quite well with all the elements involved, and is a really neat reference to Primal Dialga. While this variant is a solid design overall, my favorite part has got to be the floating tail bits, which not only look awesome, but also sell the concept of this being a newly minted Dialga that's still growing into its deific role. It would've been cool to see a similar technique imparted to Palkia's variant, perhaps around the wings? I know the wing shapes are slightly altered, but if you don't put the two designs side by side, you probably won't even notice the difference. I wouldn't alter much on this design -- maybe tweak the placement and pattern of the armor and the red markings to make it slightly less of a recolor, but the design stands enough on its own compared to its inspirations.
While I can't speak for Game Freak on if they took any Western inspiration for Giratina's original design back in Gen 4, Legends Arceus pretty much confirmed that Game Freak was fully aware of the Western fandom's association between Giratina and the devil and decided to run with it. That being said, this design does literally everything that a non-fallen Giratina design needs to do. Golden wings, halos, a motif of seven rather than six... it's pretty much a perfect variant.
Unfortunately, there is one fly in this ointment, and it's the typing. A being this magnificent deserves a Psychic/Dragon or Fairy/Dragon typing in keeping with its 'light' theme, but it got the Normal/Dragon type instead, which is honestly kind of boring. Personally, given that the Dialga variant is Dark/Dragon type, and this Giratina is based on a glorious archangel, I would have given this Giratina the Fairy/Dragon type to indicate that it is the highest over the Creation Trio... second only to Arceus, of course, which Giratina soon seeks to change.

With the new anime Pokemon Horizon i think we basically got the info that galarian birds are more like convergent pokemon than varients itself since they say they are diferent pokemon but only have the same name

I maintain that, especially with all the lore we got about them. The Galarian legendary birds aren’t regional variants but are actually the first example we got of ecologically similar pokemon (Wiglett and Toadscool). Peony just named/categorized them incorrectly.
The Creation Trio look something from Unova, because of Team Plasma's allusions to religion, being forms they assume when... worshipped...? I don't know how to explain them while pointing another region...

I feel like its a good idea. this is my first pokemon concept.
As good as these envisioned regional variants look, the one gripe I have is that they, especially in the case of Dialga and Palkia, look too similar to their modern forms (Primal Dialga is also an example of this because the only thing that changes about it is that the ultra light blue markings on it's body instead only glow red/orange/yellow. In the case of Primal Groudon/Kyogre, Groudon has an additional typing added, they physically grow bigger and more powerful and their appearance changes marginally enough to differentiate them from their regular forms). Giratina's new form I'm more okay with because, although you kept the serpentine aesthetic of it, there was just enough change to make that variant more believable. I'm confident that had we more backstory and lore on Dialga and Palkia, their forms would've been vastly different from what was given here.
I'm aware that Dialga and Palkia were already given origin forms in L:A and that Giratina has it's altered form, because you eluded to the fact that these forms are supposed to be reminiscent of coming into being before their respective duty tie-ins (Dialga = god of time, etc etc), it would make more sense to canonically call them 'celestial' forms, or 'birth' (or 'REbirth' forms seeing as they have the ability to revert back to them at any given point (I'm sitting here editing this message as I look over it. to make it more cohesive, and the more I think about it, the more 'rebirth forms' sounds ever more cooler XD)) forms if you will.
If we take time to closely examine REGIONAL forms, say from Alola, Galar, Hisuian, etc... We'll see that although the same Pokemon, they VASTLY differ from their original counterparts that we're more intimately familiar with, though if I had to say there was one exception, that would be Stunfisk, as it really only changes color and has a very SLIGHT change in appearance. This is apparent in slight physical and colour changes and also type changes.
Lastly, I close out by apologizing. I am, for some reason, overly passionate about these kinds of things. I enjoyed the video none-the-less. Please keep up the good work =)
How about Pokémon Legendaries and Mythicals as Yugioh monsters?
One of the concepts on which the Tao trio is based is that according to alchemy there are three elements that make up a living being, Reshiram the sulfur (soul), Zekrom the mercury (mind) and Kyurem the salt (body), if they obtain a regional form would they be something like soul = ghost, mind = psychic and body = fight?
alternate take on dialga and palkia regional forms: combine them, then make that combined form fire/dragon to signify the big bang. because as physicists have proven for decades now, space and time are not RELATIVE, they are the SAME THING, and while space is "cold" now, it wasn't at the creation of the universe. and if you still wanted to keep the individual personalities, give this form two heads, one being related to dialga, the other related to palkia.
I have an idea of an Unfallen Giratina, but I think Fairy/Dragon feels more appropriate. Arceus is Normal because Normal is the closest thing to being typeless/type-neutral outside of some very niche situations. And it reflects its ability to be different types...I mean, why else would something like Ditto be Normal type? What's normal about it at all?
Personally, I'd think of the creation trio's "regional variants" as the forms we originally found them in, with their origin formes being their true selves.
I wouldve thought that palkia wouldve gained the fire type since when the universe was born everything was extremely hot.
A '"regional"' Creation Trip could be their counterparts from parallel universes such as in Ultraspace.
While cool, it was a missed opportunity to make Palkia blazing since the early universe was hot and condescend before it started its expansion to where we are today. Hot condescend gas, actually their was a period, well a short window where the universe was fairly evenly warm but while this was short it would’ve been perfect for a bunch of life. Not hating, but making Palkia cold was a missed opportunity to compare it to the actual early beginnings. I’m just surprised no one else has pointed it out.
I normally love the regional forms you pick, but today non of them was good and Dialga and palkia are nearly looking like their original form. Giratina was ok, but only ok. I hope, other designs in the Future Will Look better than these.

oh my god that dialga ability is busted. If that showed up in comp it would ruin screen teams, weather teams, AND sleep teams.
See it would’ve made sense to make palkia a psychic type . Reason why if it’s truly the made at the beginning of this primal time then it’s ability should be able reflect space . An early palkia could be struggling with the vastness of space. And with dialga not making it easier to understand due to time manipulation,then it could be at a point where it’s truly vulnerable. Essentially being a boat in a raging rapids until later on it’s able to flow with all the chaos of space without bother.
I just don't understand why dialga is a horse when palkia is a centar idk if anyone else can agree but an aquatic look could have worked. Giratina with the air palkia land and well time FLOWs.

I like the idea of dialga’s ability adding an extra turn where nothing happens, but effects still occur. For example if Dialga uses roar of time it would instantly recharge, if it used solar beam it would solar beam immediately, and if the opponent was poisoned it would deal damage twice.
Had the same thought, but added as an ability that effects both sides. Your allies no longer need a charge or recharge, but opponents side charge moves take two turn and recharge takes two turns instead of one.
