What a beautiful woman...she was my 'tv Mom' growing up and I loved her, along with millions of other kids I'm sure...Rest in peace Barbara...you will be missed...
I would like to leave everyone with a poem in the memory of Mrs. Billingsley: The sun goes down and leaves warmth upon the land. The tide recedes and leaves seashells in the sand. The music stops and echoes in sweet refrain...for all you've given only beautiful memories will forever remain. This is our second mother that everyone grew up with in the 50's and 60's. You are truly a class act and will be sadly missed by everyone. You will always be in our hearts and memories. R.I.P. Barbara.
To Glenn and Drew: Thanks for sharing your mom with all of us who grew up watching Leave it to Beaver. She was appreciated and will be missed by so many.
RIP 'MOM' Like everybody else, Barbara Billingsley was my favourite TV mom. I grew up watching Leave it to Beaver in the '80s; everyday from noon-12:30 I'd go home for lunch from school (2 blocks away), eat my lunch while watching another episode. At 12:30, back to school. Then, junior high and high school came along and had to travel farther away from home, so I didn't get to watch the show everyday anymore. When the entire series came out on DVD for $200, I bought it. And I treasure it
She always looked good. She brings back memories because as a kid back then these actors were a part of my life and television was a big deal back then! I remember my grandad telling me all he had was a radio growing up!

She was a sweetheart, and for a kid that had an abusive mom, June took her place.
She was a great actress. Even to a African Amreican family like mine she was looked at as a role model to us kids.
She was everyone's Mom....and a wonderful human being. Farewell, Mrs. Cleaver.
