dang, dude. I heard a lotta good stuff about this game, but I did NOT realize there was THIS MUCH going for it! you make the multiplayer sound amazing, and it dang well looked like the game was way better than any of the other 2D mario games I've played before. It was great to get your perspective on it, so thank you for making this video!! also I noticed some real neato editing flourishes in there. good stuff, man :)
I feel like the bosses is everybody’s only major problem with the game (besides the park levels which I think everybody agrees are awful). The game has other problems like the park levels suck but all of those other problems are pretty small things. The bosses are what hold the game back from being truly amazing. Bowser jr being literally every boss in the game except the last one is beyond lame and this is coming from someone who likes Jr. With the whole wonder effect thing this was the time for some truly new and unique bosses. There was so much potential and it just wasn’t utilized. Every part of this game is filled with so much charm and creativity except for the bosses. Im glad the Koopalings aren’t in the game because I’m so sick of them and they’re the epitome of laziness but worlds 3 and 5 don’t even have bosses and because of that the worlds feel unfinished which makes it feel just as lazy if not more so then the koopalings. Kamek doesn’t even get a Bossfight so I don’t even understand why he’s in the game. The game is still amazing but the bosses unfortunately do drag it down and stop it from being as amazing as it could’ve been
I was so expecting Kamek and Bowser Jr to fight together as a mini boss in the final level, and then Jr. just gets punched off screen like what lol. why bother having him show up
@@Wyrlwind I thought the same thing. I have no idea why Jr even showed up in the final level because he doesn’t do anything and I have no idea why Kamek was even in the game because he doesn’t do anything of note the entire game and they don’t even let the poor guy talk
A nitpick I have is none of the wonder effects really blew me away or really surprised besides the singing plants in the second level. There’s nothing really that is actually that crazy or out there. One of the developers said that an idea was for one of the effects was to have a live action Mario in the background and that would’ve been crazy but there’s just nothing like that in the whole game. With a game called wonder you would think there would be more out there wonder effects but there really aren’t
Yeah I heard about that. I hope they push the idea even further if they ever plan on making a sequel, cause the live action mario thing sounded so funny
I enjoyed this game more than I thought I would, honestly. I just wish the online multiplayer was better. That, and the boss fights... why is Bowser Jr. the ONLY boss fight throughout all the worlds?
Super Mario Bros Wonder is a great game and worth a purchase.
