No auto-tuning vocals, and no computers. Just the human singing, understandable lyrics, pounding riffs, plug-in instruments, overdriven guitars, clean or driven bass, and solid drums. This is what rock music is. Rock music also timeless.
As a vocalist I can you there is a little editing and tune on this. Live or raw it sounds even better

@@hicks712 ha, as a sound engineer it's edited, there's obvious things like delay, reverb, double tracking and more subtle things like compression, EQ, saturation etc

Local stations need to get their shit together. I can only hear decent music like this on Satellite Radio or Streaming. Most of the "rock" stations near me play endless loops of Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Jane's Addiction.....

Luckily in the upstate of South Carolina our radio station 93.3 the planet plays stuff from beatles, zeppelin, motley crue, nirvana, a7x, linkin park, falling in reverse, Motionless in White. Just examples. The have an app and I'm sure they have an xm radio station. The app is wonderful and anyone in the U.S. can access it.

It's Father's Day. Back in February 2020 I lost my Dad because of pneumonia. He'd been weakened for many years by Multiple Sclerosis too. I miss him so much and today I don't feel great. I needed some escapism and your music is just what I needed.

Liking the heavier more mature single. That means I’ll be getting this album. When they release a stoner song as the first single I usually don’t end up getting the album. I’ve been on an every other album cycle with BSC since BTDATDBS. It sounds like they have grown up some with this song and it’s refreshing

These guys opened for Alice Cooper at the first concert I ever went to and they blew me away. Their music's incredible and the energy they bring at a live show is 2nd to none. Really excited for this album.
Still keep daydreaming about last year's ramblin man festival. At the front with good friends, spun the cap off the saved all day smuggled in JD bottle and stomped it into the ground. Lifelong gig memories right there. Thankyou for for a stunning evening. Can't wait to get the world back off its wobble and have our live music and heaving crowds again.

One of my favorite bands! I got the opportunity to meet these guys last April after their show in Joliet, Il. As a drummer, I have always admired John Fred Young's power on the kit and it was a dream come true when I got to talk to him. He and I took turns hand drumming on the lid of a garbage can to show me some really cool fill rudiments. All of the guys in Black Stone Cherry are really down to earth guys!

What happened to crooked x? I bought their album after seeing bsc and them in Lawrence..(*side note: I got pulled up on stage in Lawrence when they played soul creek- it was the 1st concert and best concert of my life)
@@joeseppi1214 lots of things. They toured the world with many famous bands. They opened for kiss in Stockholm Sweden in front of like 100,000 people. They toured with NIN, FFDP, Shinedown and many others. But some of the Band members quit. New ones filled in. Drugs mainly. Drugs are a horrible thing for musicians. They ended up taking my brothers life 6 years ago. He did some solo music on UA-cam if interested. Look up Jesse Wayne Cooper
Man. The drum take on the second half of that solo.......that rhythm guitar part under the solo is sick. The way Fred hit that riff on the second half is soooooo nasty......GREAT SONG!!!

I love BSC and have done since day one! This is a great song and psyched for the next album. But during the 2 verses, all I can hear is drums, what's up with that? Everywhere else it sounds great and equalised. Maybe just not mixed/mastered as well as other albums - like straight up in your face hard rock with those riffs. And barely can hear the bass :( Maybe it's just me?
I'm hoping there's a few more songs that have the sound of Family Tree as well. Rock on!
