Check out the Mizuno Wave Rebellion Pro 3 Low or the Rebellion Natural! It seems to be exactly what you were looking for -- the more "min" version. Not sure if it's available outside Japan, but perhaps worth a shot! Thanks for that content! Good stuff!
Apparently there's a 'wave rebellion pro low' coming out, might be more your vibe! I love my pro 3s apart from the fact the laces never stay tied 😂 found the more I put in the more I got out but it wants me to land in a very specific way
It was available in Malaysia since December but I couldn’t find any information about this shoe, so I didn’t buy it. It looks like the Flash 2 with an Energzy XP midsole, carbon plate and upper from the Pro 3. Unfortunately no other specs available on the Mizuno website. I bought the Flash 2 a while ago, which I do enjoy a lot as a fellow mid foot striker, so I think/hope that the “Pro Low” might be a better Race option than the Pro 3.
@ I love the flash 2. I just wish it was a bit lighter . Maybe with the new foam and upper it will be much lighter. Excited to try it if it hits the US later in the year
"Midfoot Strikers Unit" - MidLife Runner. I hope the update they do the updates you suggested for Wave Rebellion Flash 3. I think based on what you and Andrea about the 2, I think the 3 would likely be the future purchase for me. Another side note I did end up buying some Brooks Hyperion 2's. Just waiting for them to arrive. ❤
Thoughtful share, Andrew. As another wee man (5’7”, 140 lbs), this is a hard pass for me. Re: “…made for 2.5 hour marathoners,” Mizuno said that about V1 and V2 as well. 🤷♂️
Interesting. I hope to run in a demo WRP3 sometime soon. The new position of fulcrum point might be better when legs are fatigued and landing transitions more back during a marathon..
I believe what you're referring to as "an interesting fact" is nothing more than aspirational marketing talking points (not a fact about the shoe's engineering). "Achieve your running goal of sub 2.5 hour full-marathon..." & "...for elite level speed runners aiming to run a full marathon in less than 2.5 hours...". That shoe is a designed and constructed unisex shoe and few women in the world can run a 2:30, none in your last marathon (MCM) by nearly 10 minutes, and only 16 in the Boston Marathon.
Similar as far as set more back. But almost even steeper of an angle than v2 given all the foam in the midsole. It would not feel the same under foot, however later this year I believe they are releasing a WRP low version that looks more like the 1 but with the new technology/foam. Beyond excited to try it if that is the case
@@79reynevan everything I have heard from rebellion pro 2 and 3 is that it is more true to size than 1, which was a little short. I enjoyed going up half a size to a 9.5 in the 2 and the 3 but I do have extra room. Meaning, I could go with my regular men’s size 9 for both shoes for a tighter race fit
@@vjsorzano Flash 2 I also went half size up and it fits perfectly. I use it as a daily trainer with a little bit of pick up but it’s heavy for a speed day shoe and more daily training weight. It feels great as a midfoot striker. Later this year Mizuno is dropping a wave rebellion pro Low, which is like the Flash but with super shoe components. Sounds divine! I found the Flash for $99 on amazon so if you can find a good deal i would pick up
😂 The Floberg song outro tho!
He's still got it folks. The outro king.
😂😂
This shoe is the definition of "MOAR".

👀 I might have to fly to Japan 🇯🇵 just to try these out .

Yes that is correct. Here in Malaysia you can already buy the “Wave Rebellion Pro Low”
Have you tried this?? Is it any good? I’m so excited

This is a brilliant insight . That was the only reason I didn’t run in 2. Late in a marathon I didn’t trust myself
As a lighter runner, I love the V2 for anything up to a half. I think I will pass on the V3.
Same
3:50 I think the first Rebellion Pro was a decent 5-10k shoe (due to its firmness).

I never try this try
Great review, is the geometry more like the V1?

Thanks for that review, i got wave rebellion pro 1, size 8,5 should I stay with it, or buy 9?

What do you think of the flash 2 for training? I also got a black toenail in my pro2 but im almost willing to go for it bc it was so exactly for me!

no
60mm of foam, completely ridiculous. 🤦🏻♂️
