5:23 I felt that one 😂 also loved the insight about running by feel and using the time based fartleks - I learned this year that's huge with the runners who train in iten Kenya (hotbed of elite marathoners). Great video man 🫡 loved the format
This is the way. I started to see how I can mor efficiently make running content and shooting while I’m running away, with a topic and minimal editing seemed to be the best idea. Looks like you were a light year ahead of the game
Loving the new mindset for 2025 and beyond. I’m gonna work on my weaknesses and get more mobile. I’ll also gym twice a week in 2025. Have fun in Boston next year, you definitely earned it!
Love this. I'm not very fast either 😂 have spent most of 2024 trying to get fitness back after being injury plagued in 2023. Main focus has been volume, which has been successful, but i've hardly progressed in terms of coverting to race times. 2025 is all about speed development, or whatever speed I can develop at 40+, rather than pushing volume further. Look forward to watching your progress.
@ Getting back to the track next week after New Years. Been enjoying my improved speed and fitness on longer road runs as of late. Feeling the gains feels good .
Boston is going to be my icing-on-the cake marathon this spring. Let’s go run it and have fun! My mantra for myself and the people I’ve been training this season is #horseshoes. Close only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades, right? Well one of the things I learned is that it also counts in training. We don’t need to be so precise about rep splits and paces and heart rates and zones, etc. the science shows that close is just as good as bang on. So when my guys and gals suffer and get upset about not hitting an arbitrary number, by response is to shrug it off and say “horseshoes, baby, horseshoes.”
@ yes. I got considerably faster in the last 9 months. He’s very knowledgeable, passionate and available if I have any questions or concerns. He also works with me for what I want to do rather than shape me into a preset mold or system. We are experimenting a bit this year leaning on the speed since I never developed a lot of those mechanics in HS or college (new to running at 40)

Thanks King! I’ll be sure to make exclusive content on how to get around and best places to go and race tips for your run in 26
@ That’s awesome! Very few videos on how to do a marathon weekend as a midlife hobby jogger with the entire family so everyone has a great time.

Thank you Alex! I might push some easy volume through the summer to minimize the suffering in heat but it’s all systems go for us Midlifers
Good decision regards the Boston… just enjoy

I love it! My 5th grade teacher Mr dijon said it almost every day. Definitely applying it to 2025 training. Onward!
@ well, since I’m a 4th grade teacher, Mr. Dijon and I would probably get along very well!
