Wait, why is Dick Clark holding up the wrong album for this song? He's holding up their second album, but the song "Count me out" is off their 3rd album All for Love.
edub3030 All For Love wasnt out yet. Just like when they were American Bandstand a year later and he held up All For Love and they were performing Earth Angel. This is from a show called Dick Clark's Nighttime. Due contractual rights they could not do American Bandstand for this run
nickfreshalive rights is the wrong word...obligations. They were hot during this period and because Bandstand only paid scale it was easy to over look. Other gigs looked better. Durring late '86 is were the vacation started. The still did TV up until early 87 but nothing else
Subliminal tension all in that interview. Can just feel the animosity and see BBD in its infancy. Man when they finally get to layout the WHOLE story!!
I caught that as well! I hate that all the burden was on, Ralph, for things that were out of his control. It wasn’t his fault that he was put in the lead position. I don’t like how the host basically only acknowledged, Ralph, and asked him most of the questions. I know he stated in an interview that he was left alone at the hotel a lot, while the other guys hung out. I’m glad they’re finally moving past the ugly past, in their more mature years.
@@mymelanatedjourney2825 You nailed it! You can tell Ralph is just one of the fellas and never wants the spotlight. That heat on Dick Clark for the iso on Ralph. So glad they're bond is stronger than all the nonsense over the years. Been to a few Culture Tour shows and can see them interacting more and getting closer. Watched this one inherited with Ralph last year where he said he hadn't spoken to Bobby after his son passed. Whatever was going on with them had to be deep. Can see Bobby struggling every interview to be his best. Love the progress and so relatable. Having just hit 50 it's a wonderful thing to reflect, learn and keep growing.
@@mymelanatedjourney2825 Yes it was a heavy burden for Ralph. Dick Clark was wrong for what he did. I heard that interview when he talked about being left alone. He would call his friends from Boston and they would come and hang out with him. I was like, Oh my. I am glad Johnny joined the group as well, because he and Ralph became good friends. I am glad they were able to come together for the Culture Tour, and I was elated that I was there!!!

I go back I look at this group new edition. New addition did not need Bobby brown. . Period and a paragraph . New Edition definitely needed Ralph tresvant. Ralph is still caring new addition. I don't know why Ricky Bell was never a lead singer the man is awesome. A lot of folks go on about how well Ronnie dance. Ronnie does not dance any better than any of the rest of these members. If anything I would say Ralph was a better dancer He had to sing and dance, at the end of the day they are awesome and I'm glad they're all back together again. I went to the culture tour. Love watching their growth on these video! Dance steps are polished.
Ronnie and Ralph are so adorable.
They make it look easy. It takes long hours of rehearsal to do this. New school take notes.
They looked so pitiful when Dick Clark mentioned that they had achieved great wealth. If Dick Clark only knew. ☹️
It’s always funny watching Ricky lip sync Bobby’s part. Who knew they would ALL become famous with recognizable voices later in life.
