Yes 🙌🏽 Hailey Reinhart..I grew up in the 70’s and she’s the sound of that era. This lady is one of my favorite solo singers in the US. I love her “White Rabbit”. My second is YEBBA and her Tiny Desk concert 🎶. Great 👍🏽 Choice. Excellent Reaction. 🙋🏻♀️🇺🇸
Her black and white video of "Lay it down" is also exceptional. I have liked this girl since I saw her on some music contest show years ago. Great pipes and timing. A real performer. Thanks for reacting to her.
I LOVE THIS SONG!!! Complete singer, great pick up on the scratchy sound. Her original. To hear her pure upper register try "Lay it Down". One of teh coolest things is there are very few instruments in these. She did an amazing version live of "I Put a Spell on You", this past year while on tour.
A few of my favorite performances of hers are: Lay it Down - ua-cam.com/video/JqluowA-r5M/v-deo.html Black Hole Sun - ua-cam.com/video/R6RD6mjiIZE/v-deo.html Can't Help Falling in Love - ua-cam.com/video/d924LLHxSqk/v-deo.html House of the Rising Sun - ua-cam.com/video/ts9oMPpvJew/v-deo.html Bennie and the Jets - ua-cam.com/video/xRA5Rh5SuTM/v-deo.html
yes, original song, and a great song, she's not only a brilliant cover artist able to own any song and genre, but a great songwriter as well... and her vocals are just insanely good, delivered with the most lovable timbre and perfect timing... can't get any better imo. Peace and love from Bavaria!
The live version of this with her dad at Chess Records is WAY better!! It’s short two song set. Check it out. She wrote that song as a tribute to her idol Etta James
Writer(s): Robert Kleiner, Anders Grahn, Haley Reinhart 2019 and she was about 29 at the time. The first PMJ release with Creep was 2015 Lo-Fi Soul, her 2019 album has some fine sounding songs - "Deep Water", "Honey, There's the Door" ... It's pop with an undercurrent of jazz. Not sure if you're aware, she was the voice of Bill Burr in his F is For Family Netflix show and she also had a turn in the movie We Can be Heroes plus has gone double platinum with her cover of I Can't Stop Loving You. She's no one trick pony and has a voice that resonates with my brain and triggers a dopamine release. She sings in that pocket register that's pure pleasure. While someone like Floor Jansen might have the exquisite mastery of control of her instrument, Haley just has the voice that hooks me. I love them both, but if I was forced to choose, Haley wins for the reasons I stated.
This is definitely an original! And couldn't be happier that you reacted to this. She truly is a star❤ and I have the pleasure to say I've heard her live which is out of this world experience. Some of her original songs to try out are Roll the Dice, Don't Know How to Love You, Good or Bad, Bad Light, Baby Doll, Check Please, Shook, and Lovergirl to name some. You can find these all as live performances. Some that she has not performed live but are true gems: Lovesick and Looking at You, and How Dare You. Enjoy!
Haley actually performed “How Dare You” at the Hotel Cafe, an intimate show for fans in 2018, before she released the song in Lo-Fi Soul in 2019 ua-cam.com/video/MuzmQ4ciLYM/v-deo.html
If you want to see a really sweet, soft side, try her commercial for Extra gum -“I can’t help falling in love” Recommend the actual commercial; very soft and sweet. Still recommending PMJ “All About that Bass” for a crazy time (you’ll love the clothes!)
A little way into this had me thinking of Warwick Avenue, Duffy's song, not the lyrics but the overall style; yea these lyrics are good and it all comes together, well sung, but its just good, flat out good, my socks are still on, always a thumbs up here, thnx. . . :>/
Lo-fi Soul and Better albums were mostly written by her and are just awesome. She also worked on the lyrics for Vicetone's Something Strange, intending for a different singer. They ended up bringing her back to sing it and it's very different style from her usual music.
Haley debuting an original song called "Voodoo Doll," which has a sixties vibe. ua-cam.com/video/XBVtUNhL7z4/v-deo.html The video was recorded by an audience member, so it's not one to react to... I'm posting it to illustrate Haley is indeed a versatile singer comfortable moving across genres. The song hasn't been recorded/released yet.
Even though this is the official version of the song, it’s not representative of Haley’s vocal prowess. Haley is at her best singing live. All of her performances with PMJ are unedited live recordings. In HaleysTusk channel there are many of Haley’s stage performances of this song. But my favourite version is the one she sings at Chess Records in Chicago with her dad on acoustic guitar. It’s the most intimate raw version of Don’t Know How To Love You. And as a bonus the other song in this video is IMHO the best version of Can’t Find My Way Home. ua-cam.com/video/omtsHEs2g0w/v-deo.html
IMO the best performance Haley ever did was "God Bless the Child"- Haley Reinhart with Irvin Mayfeild posted by Casey Abrams. During an Idol Tour stop in New Orleans, Casey got Irvin to invite Haley onstage to sing with his band. Completely unrehearsed, Haley blew everyone away, including Irvin.
I like the version in this comment best. It was recorded direct to vinyl at an historic Austrian hotel back by a 40 piece orchestra and it is incredible. The version at Chess Records is a lovely, intimate experience with just Haley and her dad, Harry, on acoustic guitar. The challenge for this one is that this song is the second of two in the clip. The official video just reacted to is accompanied by a rock band. All three versions are great and worth checking out.
She just exudes sexiness and truly has the best female vocals of ANYBODY on this planet !!! Check "Habit" (PMJ) and "Better" (her own song)...I can listen to her 24 hours a day !!
Hi Britt, you will find another classier performance of this original song with Haley and Sascha Peres and his Orchestra! Also you might like to react to Haley, Slash, and Myles Kennedy's performance of Rolling Stone's song Wild Horses! They're both great!
@BrittReacts Britt, this Haley original has a gospel, soul motif that shows off her clean tones, limited growls/scratch, which is her typical trademark. ua-cam.com/video/JqluowA-r5M/v-deo.html
If you want to hear a great reaction and to this song and how they break it down I suggest "Mega lockdown reaction". There are black husband and wife who call Haley a "sister".😊
When you react to Haley, never react to one of her original videos. Why? Because they are all low-budget affairs and they all stink to high heaven. Instead, always react to one of her live performances on a stage. As you will get a far better performance. Haley is an independent artist. So her music and her crappy videos are all low budget and self-financed affairs. If I were her, I'd sign a deal with a record label. That way her music would be played on the radio and her videos would be professionally done. As an independent artists, her music is almost never played on the radio. Which makes it real hard to be a Haley Reinhart fan. Nonetheless, her career is minuscule and it's minuscule because she always refuses for some reason to sign a record contract with a record label. Nonetheless, she does have the talent to be a popular music artist.
This lady has one of the largest vocal toolbox I have ever heard she sang in her father's and mother's band growing up and is just a great talent
Haley is the perfect singer (for me)...so much nuance, so much control - she inhabits the story in the song. Wonderful!!!!!!!
Postmodern Jukebox ft Morgan James - Dream On

Again amazing. "Dear prudence" her and another work of art "Morgan James"

Haley never disappoints. She is my favorite singer for sure.
The fun side of Haley can be seen in this video "Haley Reinhart & Casey Abrams - The Way You Make Me Feel [On MJ's B-day!]".
The live version of this with her dad at Chess Records is WAY better!! It’s short two song set. Check it out. She wrote that song as a tribute to her idol Etta James
That one is better.
@@randallshuck2976to my ears it’s not better but her best version.
Yes that is a great set.

Love her! Best female singer ever

Beautiful ❤️🔥

Try “Lay it down “, black and white video.
ua-cam.com/video/JqluowA-r5M/v-deo.html
For a newer original try "Lovesick". She sang it this year for a movie, "Americana". It showcases her softer side.
Fabulous performance!!
A little way into this had me thinking of Warwick Avenue, Duffy's song, not the lyrics but the overall style; yea these lyrics are good and it all comes together, well sung, but its just good, flat out good, my socks are still on, always a thumbs up here, thnx. . . :>/
Love the hat😊
Great reaction!

Yes, this is a great song and her performance is amazing.
Lo-fi Soul and Better albums were mostly written by her and are just awesome. She also worked on the lyrics for Vicetone's Something Strange, intending for a different singer. They ended up bringing her back to sing it and it's very different style from her usual music.
Listen to HERO’s by her and her funky 60’s style albums, or
Her duet with Morgan James singing together on the couch Dear Prudence.

Plus, Can't Find My Way Home is amazing
Her voice puts me in mind of Corinne Bailey Rae.
Look up Haley’s cover of Like a Star from when she was 18, before idol. It’s my favorite Haley video
And the trumpet/frumpet duel was iconic.
You can see the actual moment that Ervin and his band actually fall in love with her . . .
A different version of Haley and the same song. Full orchestra version. Can't decide which I like better. ua-cam.com/video/fbEW8BrNctI/v-deo.html

She should have won American Idol. She was the best
She got done wrong on that show because of Randy Jackson and J LO .
Please check out Miss Haley singing creep great song.

My OH My by Slade ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love the channel and your reactions. Maybe try her cover of Soundgarden’s “Black Hole Sun” with PMJ. It’s awesomely underrated, IMO.
Natural talent ….
would love to see you react to Haley's original song "Lay it Down
@BrittReacts Britt, this Haley original has a gospel, soul motif that shows off her clean tones, limited growls/scratch, which is her typical trademark. ua-cam.com/video/JqluowA-r5M/v-deo.html
agree
How does one make a suggestion?
When she's up on top is a full beltand then instantly drops down to a lower range,do you know the control that takesand how hard that is to do
this sounds so strange but in some of her performances there is a think of young Michael Jackson
The acoustic version in a hotel lounge is the best version
Haleys cover of "can't help falling in love"which she sang for the extra gun commercial with platinum
Haley learned to scat as a child, her father who had a band and is a musician used to always do call a responses with her teach her out of scat
If you want to hear a great reaction and to this song and how they break it down I suggest "Mega lockdown reaction". There are black husband and wife who call Haley a "sister".😊
