This was wonderful! Joan was very charitable, and never made a spectacle about what she did or who she gave to. Not mentioned in the video but most definitely worth mentioning is the hospital rooms and surgical suite she endowed at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital for folks who had once worked in the film industry and were unable to afford their hospital bills. It's estimated that Joan covered almost 400 surgeries and paid hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years. She had no idea who the patients were or what illnesses they had. She just wanted to be sure they had adequate health care and that their expenses were covered.
This is very touching! Joan obviously believed in giving back for what she perceived as the blessings she was given in her life. Funny thing is, I have a feeling she didn't realize that she gave and continues to give every day by force of her sheer TALENT. She obviously appeared to feel like it was needed to give even MORE! Then her bequests after death! What a legacy! What a woman! What generosity! Joan Crawford was PURE LOVE!
What a wonderful tribute to a remarkable generous lady. Most remarkable were the hospital rooms which Tiffany has detailed below. I learned about that years ago. That’s true generosity right from the heart.

Wonderfull video! One of the people interview for a doc about her life also told about how she helped a crewmember who was hurt at the film lot in some way and made sure he got the best treatment. Also, don´t forget that she gave all of her salary from the film " They all kissed the bride" as a tribute to Carole Lombard, who had died in a planecrash whilst on charitytour during WWII.
She exudes a similar pull yourself up by your own bootstraps ideology of a particular President I believe she admired. Which is very fitting indeed (if I'm right).

I've often wondered with her being a Christian Scientist if she ever realised salvation was by faith alone. I know she said or was quoted that it didn't matter ones belief about God so long as you were a good person. While I believe she was a good person,being good doesn't cut it unfortunately.
I don't know of Joan ever saying "it didn't matter ones belief about God so long as you were a good person." I do know Joan was an enormously spiritual and religious person. That aspect of her wasn't well-known because she didn't believe in talkin about faith with the public.

Yes, Joan loved many of those times of politicians. She was particularly favorable of Ronald Reagan.
