    I am a breastroker and I do fly kick first then arms pull with a natural oscillating half fly kick , then breaststroke kick , then into first skull , and up into racing . It's important to hold your dive speed for one second in a tight streamlined shape before that first fly kick don't trim off your speed too quick , off the blocks . .

      The half fly kick that usually results of a firm strong first fly kick will DQ you!

    00:00:04,358 --> 00:00:12,818
    Breaststroke Pullout
    평영 당겨 나오기(pullout)
    2
    00:00:15,259 --> 00:00:17,383
    1 Butterfly kick
    접영 차기 1회
    3
    00:00:17,487 --> 00:00:19,687
    1 breaststroke pull
    평영 당기기 1회
    4
    00:00:20,139 --> 00:00:22,465
    1 breaststroke kick
    평영 차기 1회
    5
    00:00:22,880 --> 00:00:28,984
    That is what the FINA rules approve in a breaststroke pull out up until the recording of this video.
    이것이 이 비디오를 촬영하는 시점까지 평영 당겨 나오기에 대하여 FINA(국제수영연맹) 규정에서 승인하는 방법입니다.
    6
    00:00:29,009 --> 00:00:32,348
    So far the two most common ways of doing this
    지금까지 가장 널리 수행되는 두 가지 방식은
    7
    00:00:32,419 --> 00:00:37,009
    is to do the pull and the butterfly kick at the same time
    당기기와 접영 차기를 동시에 하는 방식과
    8
    00:00:37,200 --> 00:00:45,884
    or to do the butterfly kick first and then the pull and the kick after.
    먼저 접영 차기를 하고 나서 평영 당기기와 차기를 순서대로 하는 방식입니다.
    9
    00:00:46,034 --> 00:00:51,273
    The most important thing is to keep your body tight and in a horizontal position.
    가장 중요한 점은 몸체를 수평 자세로 단단히 조여 버티는 것입니다.
    10
    00:00:51,443 --> 00:00:55,220
    Your streamline should be extremely compact.
    흐름선(streamline, 流線) 자세가 극도로 좁고 단단해야 합니다.
    11
    00:00:55,400 --> 00:01:00,806
    You only have one butterfly kick so make it count by doing a strong one.
    접영 차기는 한 번만 할 수 있습니다. 그러니 효과를 볼 수 있도록 강하게 차십시요.
    12
    00:01:00,979 --> 00:01:07,997
    Your arms will pull as much water as possible and will come down to the sides of your body.
    양팔로 최대한 많은 물을 당겨 내려 허벅지 옆에 붙이십시요.
    13
    00:01:08,022 --> 00:01:12,774
    From there you must shrug your shoulders and pause a little bit.
    거기에서 어깨를 추어올려 잠시 멈추십시요.
    14
    00:01:13,002 --> 00:01:22,734
    Now you will recover your arms the closest way to your body as possible, which many swimmers found is like this.
    이제 두 팔을 자신의 몸에 최대한 바짝 붙게 하면서 앞으로 되돌리십시요, 대부분의 선수들은 이런 식으로 합니다.
    15
    00:01:24,805 --> 00:01:28,910
    The kick goes at the same time as the recovery of the arms.
    팔 되돌리기와 동시에 평영 차기가 이루어집니다.
    16
    00:01:29,027 --> 00:01:36,244
    What the kick does is to give you that final push forward and up to break the surface of the water.
    평영 차기의 역할은 물속에서 마지막으로 전진하는 추진력을 주면서 밀어 올려 수면을 째 나가게 합니다.
    17
    00:01:36,379 --> 00:01:40,183
    The Breaststroke pull out is all about actions and pauses.
    평영 당겨 나오기(pull out)의 본질은 움직임과 멈춤의 연속입니다.
    18
    00:01:40,235 --> 00:01:46,196
    You push off the wall or off the blocks, get in a streamline position and pause.
    발사대나 벽을 밀고 나와, 흐름선(streamline, 流線) 자세를 취한 다음 멈춥니다.
    19
    00:01:46,348 --> 00:01:49,139
    Do a butterfly kick and pause.
    접영 차기를 한 번 하고 멈춥니다.
    20
    00:01:49,226 --> 00:01:52,656
    Do a stroke and pause.
    팔을 한 번 당기고 멈춥니다.
    21
    00:01:52,737 --> 00:01:56,282
    Shrug your shoulders and pause.
    어깨를 추어올리고 멈춥니다.
    22
    00:01:56,362 --> 00:02:03,866
    Arms recovery and kick and now the action of the stroke begins.
    팔을 되돌리면서 평영 차기를 합니다. 그리고 이제 평영 팔 젓기 동작을 시작합니다.
    23
    00:02:04,088 --> 00:02:09,003
    Some breaststrokers swim more than 15 meters with a dive and one pull out.
    어떤 평영 선수들은 발사(start)한 후 한 번의 당겨 나오기(pull out) 동작으로 15m 이상을 갑니다.
    24
    00:02:09,101 --> 00:02:18,554
    They are able to do this because of the incredibly horizontal position of their body during the pauses and the strength of their movements.
    그렇게 멀리 갈 수 있는 이유는 강력한 움직임과 멈추어 있을 때 놀라울 정도로 수평인 몸체 자세 때문입니다.
    25
    00:02:18,689 --> 00:02:25,065
    If you practice consistently and receive feedback from others, you will be able to do this as well.
    다른 사람들로부터 피드백을 받으면서 꾸준하게 연습하면, 여러분도 또한 그렇게 할 수 있습니다.

    28
    00:02:35,382 --> 00:02:41,700
    The fabric is soft, absorbs all the water and dries so quickly it doesn’t even look like you used it!
    천이 부드럽고, 물기를 모두 흡수한 다음 굉장히 빨리 말라 마치 사용하지도 않은 것 같습니다.
    29
    00:02:41,762 --> 00:02:47,105

    가장 좋은 점은 이렇게 작은 메쉬 주머니에 들어간다는 것입니다. 여행용으로 딱이네요!

    I have a question that I needed answering but it isn't related to the breast stroke. My son is learning to swim but he hits the bottom of the pool on the shallow end when he does his flip turns. He tucks his knees. He can even "sit in the chair" position, but when he pushes off he goes into the ground a lot. Any suggestions?

    • @PeLuRu4586
      @PeLuRu4586 7 років тому

      Try breaking down the flip turn into 2 phases: the tumble turn and then the push off. Set the body in the "sit-on-chair" position and then try pushing off the wall without sinking down to the bottom. Usually the scenario you just described happens when the swimmer aim towards the bottom of the pool when pushing off. I recommend recording a video to see what actually happened whenever possible. Hope this helps. Cheers.

I've been swimming all my life combining the fly kick and arm pull, so the separation of the fly kick and the arm pull feels unnatural to me

    Is it still legal to do the dolphin kick after the pullout? Which way is faster and feel less awkward? (dolphin kick first or later?). I'm not a competitive swimmer so legal or not it doesn't really matter for me. Great vid as always. Cheers

    • @larrylarry4255
      @larrylarry4255 7 років тому +1

      I don't think it's legal to do the dolphin kick after the pullout since you're doing a breast kick after the pullout. Most of the competitive swimmers do the kick before the pullout but it's up to you if you feel less awkward with it or not.

    • @leesanghwa8175
      @leesanghwa8175 7 років тому +4

      If it's only 1 butterfly kick before the first breaststroke kick, it's legal.
      SW 7.1 After the start and after each turn, the swimmer may take one arm stroke completely back to the legs during which the swimmer may be submerged. At any time prior to the first Breaststroke kick after the start and after each turn a single butterfly kick is permitted.
      source : www.fina.org/content/sw-7-breaststroke

    • @leesanghwa8175
      @leesanghwa8175 7 років тому +2

      You're right. After pullout.... dolphin kick is not allowed.
      SW 7.5 The feet must be turned outwards during the propulsive part of the kick. Alternating movements or downward butterfly kicks are not permitted except as in SW 7.1. Breaking the surface of the water with the feet is allowed unless followed by a downward butterfly kick.

    With my pullout and my breaststroke when I kick it slows me down so when it comes to the pullout I do dolphin kick, pull, and breaststroke kick but when I do the last kick it stops me from gliding and same goes for my stroke when I kick it is like I am going backwards and I can’t figure out why... help?

    • @SkillsNT
      @SkillsNT  4 роки тому

      The recovery of the kick has to be super fast and narrow. (Knees together and hamstrings should be working hard to bring the heels quickly close to the hips.) Either way, that is the slowest part of the stroke so focus on having a really good kick and glide too.

      good question. shrug the shoulders to reduce surface area of your frontal body, so you can reduce drag. imagine entering a smallest hole, you'll naturally shrug your shoulders, also it gives the muscles some rest - in the recovery phase
