Arraez seriously looks like the second coming of tony Gwynn. I didn’t think we’d ever see another hitter like this
HES NASTY
More like Wee Willie Keeler
This is seriously Tony Gwynn like.
We have not…because who’s ever hit close to 400 before in the modern era…
@@zdthekilla6950 todd helton 2000 was pretty close
This is what baseball needs! Hopefully he inspires a new generation of hitters
I agree!
I don’t know why the Ichico’s, Gwynn’s and Boggs of the world are looked down upon.
Adam Dunn & Dave Kingman types are a dime a dozen.
@riltalk4055 because they want shorter games, so they keep pushing the narrative that batting average is not important anymore. Mlb avg has dropped about 25 points over the last 20 years because fewer hits means shorter games.
@@Ohmagawdjrthat’s the most asinine theory I’ve ever heard. What numbers do you even have to back that up. Because last I checked avg was down and games were longer. Leading to the rules we have now, what a knob
agreed 100%
Exactly everyone thinks they're power hitters now
This guy really isn’t popping of the front page of news articles but this is something special. Once in a generation chance to break the 400 mark!
I mean, Joey Votto hit .400 over the course of a half a season once, so very good streches happen time to time. But if Arraez keeps this up ’til end of July, he’s gonna be the only thing people are talking about (aside from Ohtani)
Actually so beautiful to see. In the season of pitch clocks, bigger bases and no shifts, in the era of the 2 outcomes, one man absolutely refuses to change. And even with all the recent attention, he's only doing better.
I'm a Red Sox fan but this season, I'm an Arraez fan first and foremost. Baseball needs this.
Actually the term is three true outcomes🤓
It's brutal as a baseball fan watching guys with little to no power hitting 220 instead of trying to be a good contact hitter . I agree I'm a huge fan of Arraez
Buy his cards now!!
He's the best hitter in the game right now
Hell no
Corbin Carroll is better at baseball than Luis Arraez
@@TheHealthyHabitCluband Acuna is better than both.
Nope Arraez is wayyyyyyy better than both
me and my dad have been fans of him for years miss him on the twins but will be a fan of his for life love his energy that he brings to every game and his consistency as a hitter
Arraez hand eye coordination is so much better than anyone else in the world
I always enjoy hearing Dero breaking down hitting. These comps he comes up with are great
Mind blowing stats quite honestly so excited to have this guy in the bigs
Luis Arraez is beyond violent with his swing it’s just so compact it looks effortless.
All arise for Arraez..
3 5-5 games in a calendar month is insanity
what a special player
A good segment would be on how jordan walker can hit with his front foot staying out and his hips staying open. Blows my mind that he can hit like that.
You have to let the hips open at some point in your swing everytime! He just goes ahead and gets there earlier then everyone else! Real dope hitter!
Baseball is so beautiful
I love it! That's what hitting is supposed to be, put the bat on the ball, square it up and don't use all this launch angle shit, or the exit velo, that don't matter! Find the barrel, square it up and use the wholw field, high avg usually means a high on base %
Nay, give me the homerun 🤣🤣🤣
hello man right! Hitting 220 but leading the league in bombs, strike outs, low in walks, on base % and grounding into double plays lol who doesn't like that! Lol
@@gabrielv.2647 give me 62 hr. 🤣🤣🤣
hello man hah judge is a rare specimen. The fact he hit 62 bombs with hitting almost 300 is rare lol ill take that too! 😂
professional hitter
Also have a pitcher on pace for 300 strikeouts in under 200 innings this season.
too many casual fans arent recognising the difficulty of this, thinking that because he just hits singles and doubles he isnt good. even if Judge only tried to hit singles, he would hit close to .400. Ohtani tried when he was younger, and he never even came close. all these hitters hit for power because they know they cant raise their average any more than it is. Arraez is built different
He’s the only one I could see hitting that Ted Williams mark.
Hopefully he starts bringing in bigger crowds to LoanDepot Park
He hits the ball "where they ain't".
“Dante Bichette”
😂
Usually the video breakdown is quite good but this one doesn't make sense - almost seeking out a narrative that isn't there. Mark DLR speaks of how the hands don't move ... but they do. He also speaks of the stride and load being quiet ... but they aren't. The posture and swing path is very much like any hitter. It's just that the guy is 175 pounds and has tremendous hand eye coordination so puts everything in play and rarely strikes out. He also fouls off a ton of pitches that would be a swinging strike. Nothing to do with his swing being different (like an Ichiro).
we need a baseball super team Otani, Arraez, Elly new up and coming exciting players.
If he bats .400, he needs the MVP
What he's doing is snapping the bat through the zone. His goal is to barrel and hit line drives
Miami basically got the second coming of Tony Gwynn for a mid tier starter at best. A brilliant trade 😁. Him and soler are carrying the offense and if sandy can get back to last year’s form, we’ll be a playoff team
Like I said in 2018 future HOF’er. Also never forget Rocco Baldelli benched Luis Arraez opening day last year and had Gary Sanchez at DH over him. Baldelli proceeded to bench Arraez 2 of the next 4 games after that as well.
feels like Ty Cobb all over again
dante bichette... where do these guys get their info from?
Some of us have been around long enough to watch Dante actually play baseball so it’s a common mistake to misspeak in that way. I’m sure everything you say is always perfectly perfect
Arraez has a better, more powerful cut than Gwynn. Arraez does get loaded starting with the sink. He just doesn’t do anything extra at all. Everything from the slightly open stance, shortened load and staying back and balanced on the back side of his swing is allowing him to hit pitching better than Gwynn ever saw. Gwynn had incredible hands that found the baseball, this guy is finding the ball in a more powerful position and striking the ball with authority. It’s going to be fun to watch in august and September if he can keep this up.
Looks like Pete Rose swing!!! Not lower, but the way he hit the ball...
I don't think he'll reach Ichiro hits record in a season BUT still get 235+
anything around 230 is epic
As a twins fan, who needs a .400 hitter when you can spend $200m for Correa's .213?!
Hopefully, this will become a new trend in mlb. Analytics has ruined the game. I.e. dig in, swing for the fences with an upward swing and either strike out or a home run.
Lol MLB bending over backwards with stats trying to explain why Arraez is good after telling the world for 20 years that average doesn’t matter and contact hitting doesn’t win games.
It’s ok MLB just admit you were wrong. Baseball needs pure hitters.
He’s about to turn up even more.. he’ll end up with a .410 BA. And he’s hitting in front of Jorge Soler who has 21 bombs! I like the marlins when they aren’t throwing at Acuña 😂
Seager is doing this but with power and slug
I’m surprised the twins even traded him like wat were they thinking 🤔 I need watever they taking cus sheeesh they tripping
LUI BALLGAME
Tony Gwynn, that’s what I’m seeing
Yeah, twins didn’t need more historic hitters in the lineup, lol
Nah thats just my road to show player
Idc what he finished by year’s end…He’s hitting .400 after basically 3 months. Chill out Luis!!!!!! Best hitter in the game, easy.
Throw 3 fastballs up and away and he will have zero hits. I thought there was supposed to be analytics in baseball and they should know this.
he will just keep walking, he is a very disciplined hitter too
The Mariners held him hitless for a full series. That is going to happen more times this season. He won't finish batting remotely close to .400
The fact that he's at .400 in June is already amazing. No one actually thinks it's possible to hit .400 for an entire season anymore.
@@FLOCKA5000 votto hit 400 for half a season
mlb is wretched every single game is decided by a bad ball/strike call..every single game..i tried to watch a game tonight they even bungled a review it is so so so bad
Overrated, LOL
Avg batting champ last year/going to be this year. “Overrated”😂💀
@@rylansanders7469 He literally only hits little dinky singles LOL
@@TheHealthyHabitClub How should he be rated?
@@TheHealthyHabitClub i hope gets around 230 hits total for the year. Any more than that, espn will be tracking every single at bat live. But, overrated lol. He's young young too
